To start, most restaurants will have a wait list or at the very least an order of who walked in first. We showed up and told the attendant that we had one person showing up soon. Instead of seating us, they told us we have to stay in the waiting area. Every other Hibachi style restaurants that I have been to would have seated us, and then asked if we knew what they would like. Nope. We sat in the waiting area until our full party was there. While we were waiting a group of five walked in and just walked right by the attendant. Once we got seated we see that he seated them before us, even though they stated they were waiting on two others. The two others showed up right before we got seated. Once seated we saw them seat two other people at a separate stove. They didnt even offer them the chance to get their food a few minutes early. I told the server that they were welcome to join us and we didnt mind waiting a little while longer. So they moved them to our stove/table. After that they asked if they could fill up the table, we said we didnt mind. Additionally, they had the prices at around 19 dollars and up for hibachi style meals. That price was ridiculous. Their food was no where near to the quality of 20 dollars per meal. The soup was just heated water, with a small amount of onions and noodles, which, was so disappointing. The salad, differed from other restaraunts of this style because they offered ranch, and more ranch instead of water orange colored sauce Ive typically seen. The meats were dry and unflavorful, the fried rice had little to no vegetables, it was very dry, and had only 3 eggs for a full table. The "yellow sauce" that so many people refer to, was a close resemblance of the combination of honey mustard and Dijon mustard. The worst part by far: as soon, and yes I mean the very moment, that the chef was done cooking the waitress brought over togo boxes. In my mind, that is a hint at them telling us to get out. The waitress was fairly decent, no complaints there besides the boxes. On a side note, this is th2 very first hibachi style restaurant that Ive been to that had plastic plateware, paper napkins, and chopsticks that broke unevenly and gave us splinters (we used a fork to eat after that). All other restaurants of this type have had glass plates, cloth napkins, and they had chopsticks that didnt give you splinters and for the untrained chopstick wielders they had easy to use sticks. I rate this as one of my worst experiences, so bad that I typically try to give restaraunts more than three tries before ruling it out. That being said, dont eat here. Eat anywhere else, youll have a much better experience.

This was the worst Japanese Steak House I have ever had the misfortune to eat at. We went to this place based on the Google reviews which made it sound great. Either the reviewers are employees or friends of the employees, or they have just never eaten at a good Japanese Steak House before. My first clue should have been when my wife, son and I showed up and the host directed a waiter to "squeeze" us in at a table and asked the patrons already seated to scoot over to make room for us. While waiting for our waitress to take our orders, I happened to look over at the hibachi grill next to us and underneath looked as if it had not been cleaned in quite awhile. We should have left at that point. But alas, we decided to try it anyway. We ordered hot tea for my wife and I, but the first pot and 2 cups had to be sent back as there was what we hoped was a hair floating in the cup and it could not be determined whether it came from the pot or the cup. A soup and salad are part of the meal, the soup I am pretty sure is spaghetti in what tasted like broth made with Ramen flavor packets. For the salad we had requested the house dressing which our waitress said was a ginger dressing. I have never seen a white creamy ginger dressing and it tasted like ranch with a hint of what I guess was supposed to be ginger and the salad was drowning in it. And on to the meal. One of my favorite parts of a Japanese Steak House dinner has always been a properly prepared shrimp sauce, but I should have been forewarned when it was referred to as yellow sauce. Being leery after the ramen spaghetti soup and ranch with a hint of something gingery dressing, I asked for a tiny bit to be placed on the corner of my plate to taste. And am I glad that I did, because it tasted like some type of dressed up brown gravy, not at all like a shrimp sauce that I have become accustomed to at the many other JSH I have eaten at before. The shrimp was slightly under-cooked and the steak without flavor. The most edible part of the meal was the fried rice, which is not to say it was great, just the most edible. If you like paying first class prices for sub-par food and service, then this is the place for you. Otherwise save your money and avoid this place.

Several years ago we used to eat here all of the time then we moved to Dayton and are just now getting back to the area trying to catch some of our all favorite places as we acclimate. Unfortunately, we should have forgotten this place ever existed. We ate there this evening and a very poor experience, admittedly at 6 PM in the middle of the week but, still - you expect good food/service whenever an establishment is open. Table service was adequate but food prep an quality were uninspired to say the least. The food was tasteless - freshly thawed - moderate quality shrimp, poorly cooked steak - medium rare and well both had red centers and the teriyaki seasoning was absent, and the chicken was flat out gross - fatty and tough. A 15% early bird discount and loads of extra shrimp arent worth very much if you cant stomach the food. We wont be back and thats really too bad.

We went here as part of a birthday for a family member. I thought it was ok at best. The chicken gravy (yellow sauce) was ok on the steak, but everything else it definitely was not. I think I read a review that they use spaghetti noodles in the soup and as a starch later, but it really wasnt as bad as I expected. A little weird to think of, but it wasnt bad. The rice was decent and the shrimp/steak were not bad. Id say the chef was pretty awesome (that saved the night mostly). I did have some sushi and that was pretty good. Other than to do another birthday, I dont think Ill go back here given the other options that are out there. Some people love this place, and thats all good. I could see where they would, but it doesnt work for me or my wife.

I want to start by saying when coming in they had our reservation and seated us quickly. From there it went downhill. We waited forever for them to take our drink order. Then they come out to cook the food, the steak they brought out was clearly not the filet minon we ordered. It didnt even look like sirloin. It was nasty. Was it even beef? Who knows. The rice was sticky and mushy. Our chef and other employees were drinking on the job. Also they offer rice (steamed) with the meal but when ordering that ask if you want the rice steamed or fried. We chose fried and were charged extra for it as a side. And last but not least, the place was filthy!! I will not be returning to this establishment!!!
