We lived in Seattle for several years, and were worried about the options when we got to Kansas City. Tried a few places that were heavy on the sauces and light on the freshness. Masabi became our instant favorite. Flavors are fresh and not hiding under too much nonsense, and the staff recognize us whenever we come in, to the point that if I show up without the kids they remind us to order a couple avocado rolls to take home to the children. :) Highly, highly recommended.

To start there was great service with a cosy atmosphere. Ordered three rolls which were competitive in price. First was the lobster roll , sweet and succulent with a leafy crunch. Next was the ocean roll, perfect blend of flavors and color. Last was the tiffany roll, fish on fish on fish. Perfect with a touch of soy sauce. Also had the loose leaf brown rice green tea, full and hardy flavor. Definitely going to be a repeat customer.

This is my absolute favorite sushi place. We go here all the time, and I have never had anything bad there. Everything on the menu is delicious! All the sushi rolls Ive tried are delicious, and the entrees Ive tried are also really great. My favorite is the Yaki Udon with chicken. Its just perfection! I crave it all the time! Everyone who works there is so friendly and they recognize us every time we come in! Its just the best!

I just moved to Kansas City after 3 years in Asia so I was looking for a Sushi spot close to my house with fresh Sushi. I was not disappointed. It is quiet place in a strip mall, great service, with excellent Salmon and Yellow Tail Sashimi. I will recommend to all because they have non Sushi and fish entrees also.

Masabi is certainly the best sushi place in the Northland and among the best in the Kansas City region. The staff is friendly and skilled. The prices are very reasonable, between $10 and $14 for their premier rolls. My favorites are the Angry Dragon and Masabi rolls.
