Super fun atmosphere and great music. We went for a friends birthday and had a great time. The piano players were amazing! There was a bachelorette party and several other birthday parties going on at the same time. This is a great place for groups! I only rated it four stars instead of five because of two strikes: the sink was clogged in the bathroom and they ran out of hand soap (yuck!) and when we wanted our check, the waitress had disappeared. We had a babysitter at home and searching for the waitress made us 20 minutes late. A few tips for your next trip: 1. Make reservations. Its weird for a Westport Bar, but if you want to sit with your friends and enjoy the show, you need to make a reservation in advance. Our check had an 18% gratuity added since we were in a group. We would have tipped at least that much anyway, but just wanted to share. 2. Bring cash. We paid a $5 cover for the show - which was totally worth it by the way. We saw lots of people have to use the ATM just inside the door. I didnt check it out myself, but Im assuming it had a huge foreign ATM fee. 3. The adorable drink menu has a nice selection of house drinks, but doesnt list prices. Martinis are $8, Fishbowls are $14. Now you know. You can run a tab with the waitress or at the bar. There were lots of beer and shot options, too, but Im a cocktail gal so I didnt take note. 4. Parking stinks in Westport. If you dont want to park a mile or more away, get there early and circle until you find someone leaving after an early dinner. Or ask your SO to drop you at the door like I do. ;) 5. Ernie Biggs does not serve food. Not even a snack. Make a plan for dinner and head over there afterward.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Dont think oh all these people just had bad experiences, well you will sadly figure out for yourself this place really is worthless. Went with a large group of friends and after a few drinks noticed the waitress was substantially over charging us when I spoke with her she denied so I closed our tabs and requested a different waitress. Only after very little time we ordered multiple drinks at once for our group and they would come by to clean tables off and grabbed our unfinished drinks as well. I said excuse me and the waitress acted as she didnt hear me. So we remade the situation again and this time I stood up and asked her to set the glasses back down on the table and go get her manager. The manager came to the table cocky and sticking his chest out trying to get smart so I told my friends hey lets go and I then looked at the manager as I stood up and over him, pushed down on his shoulder to make him take a seat in my chair, grabbed one of our drinks and said go ahead, have one on me you piece of sh**!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!

Reasons NOT to go to Ernie Biggs Dueling Piano bar in Westport: 1. Missing door on one of the stalls in the ladies bathroom (Missing for AT LEAST two months.) 2. The singing is subpar at best. 3. The singing gets worse as the pianists become more intoxicated. 4. Even when you pay $20, they still probably wont play the song you requested. 5. Four out of five of the staff that we dealt with were jerks. 6. The waitress NEVER brought the water I requested for my friend. 7. The waitress never brought me change for the $5.50 drink I bought with a $10 bill. (You think you get a 45% tip for one drink?) 8. The waitress confronted the bachelorette about how little she was tipped for only two of the over twenty drinks we purchased that night. 9. The manager on duty AGREED with the waitress and her decision to confront us. I have over 200 facebook friends who now know how much your bar sucks, EBDPB. I will continue to spread the word. Still think customer service is not important in your bar??

I used to enjoy this establishment and counted myself lucky to have many good nights here in KC. However, the last several times I have tried to enter the establishment I have been denied. I understand that the gentlemen at the door have a very difficult job, but there is no reason to be incredibly unwelcoming. For instance, the other night I readily presented my ID and offered to withdraw cash from the ATM next to the entrance to pay the cover. But the gentleman at the entrance not only refused to look at my ID, but refused to let me and my fellow patron in to the ATM to withdraw cash. I was then escorted off the premises unceremoniously. The entire encounter was without explanation. I understand that the gentlemen tasked with allowing entrance have a difficult job, but the unprofessional manner in which I was treated was not warranted. Please use this comment as a means of improvement as opposed to criticism.

Our party was treated poorly by a particular waitress. We understand regulations and poor planning on our part when it came to getting off our party bus with all of our stuff and having mini bottles from our pinata but not once did we drink them and even after seeing them I would expect your staff to politely take them but to come over saying "hand them over" as if we were children was very rude. What happened to customer service? There are many ways to politely address any situation. Ive worked in the bars for years and when your working off tips customer service is essential. We were all there trying to have a good time and were all in good spirits. We were not upset about having anything taken from us since it wasnt our intentions in the first place to drink them we were upset how your cocky server tried take leadership and went about it in all the wrong ways all while representing your company.

Fun place to go with friends, not so much by yourself. Theres rarely any crowd at all, despite the fact that they have live music most nights of the week. Drinks are affordable, music is good, the only problem Ive ever had was the time the bartender ran my card for the tab I paid cash for that he failed to close out before the end of the night. It wasnt worth arguing with them about. I just wish they paid a little closer attention to who had already paid their tabs, considering the lack of customers...

I received an email stating that they couldnt guarantee us a table but would offer our party a free cover charge. When we got there, our name was not on the list. The bouncer and "manager" were very rude and disrespectful. They did not want to accomodate us at all or even look at the email that I had received earlier that day. We were obviously a bachelorette party and had proof of the email but they didnt care at all and were VERY rude!

Absolutely fun place to go. The pianists are always lively and entertaining and the drinks are good and reasonably priced. My biggest complaint is the lack of a food offering. They do allow you to bring food in or order delivery there which is nice, but not always convenient, especially later in the night. Make sure you eat before or have a plan for food and its a great experience.
