Dont go here expecting speedy service. Ive been here many times, for lunch, when it was slow, dinner, happy hour and drinks. It is consistently slow. The servers will sit and have 20 minute conversations with the other staff and not check back with you until their done with their conversation, this has happened multiple times visiting, when it the restaurant is slow. What makes me come back, the food is great, the prices are also affordable. Great atmosphere, not your typical "downtown Mankato" bar. The space is an old building, with brick walls, high copper ceilings, wood floors, comfy couches and chairs,as well as table seating. There is front bar and back bar.

Blue Bricks, as a bar, shifts between classy and tacky, depending on what time youre in there. Go early to avoid college students, or go late to find a drunk 21 year old, depending on your preference! One of the nicest things about Bricks is that they actually have some pretty good food for a bar. Their breadsticks are to die for, so get some pasta and carb up! With the expansion (yes, some of us remember when it was just a long, skinny bar) there is plenty of seating and the atmosphere has been maintained from back in the day. Hands down the BEST bar in Mankato.

No doubt some of the best wings Ive had in Mankato but the absolute worse customer service experience. I came in and ordered wings to go. mind you the waitress repeated back my order...after literally spending at least 25 minutes waiting for my wings that were suppose to be plain (no sauce) , my order was finally ready BUT they messed up and put sauce on them.

Great people, good beer and the best food. Bartenders of Blues know how to have fun. The servers are on point, and the kitchen staff bust out orders like no other. Blue Bricks is where you go, to hangout, but you know without that awkward moments.. just a place to have fun with great people, good beer and the best of food.

Blue Bricks is a nice hybrid of the typical downtown bar and a quality bar & grill. It it my favorite bar for socializing. Great place for a burger or pizza. Bonus: Their buffalo pizza has hot sauce rather than marinara.

For nightlife, I enjoy this place. It is much quieter and not completely filled with drunk people. But during the day/week, the whole place still smells like alcohol (guessing because of the wood floors).

Nice patio. Good late at night. Lunch indoors wasnt pleasant. The food was okay, but our server was terrible: she was 18 and didnt know about drinks when we had questions. And it smelled like beer.

My favorite place for drinks! Its bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Love the atmosphere. Their menu has a lot of variety, and the kitchen stays open late, too!!
