I have come here a few times before. Their food is okay and usually their service is okay. Normally I would rate them 3 stars. My co-worker and I had lunch today and we ordered their pho. Their pho is okay. When they served us the pho soups, they did not provide eating utensils. We had to ask for chopsticks and soup spoons the next time the lady passed us. Then as she passed us by again, we had to ask for the bean sprouts, mint leaves, and lime wedges that normally comes with the soups. Then finally when we were almost done with the soups, she passed by again and we asked for napkins. Then when we finished consuming our pho she brings one napkin. There were two of us so I had to split the napkin in half. I do not know why she only gave us one napkin. As I was ripping the napkin in half I noticed that it had some sauce on it. Our waters were never refilled. My co-worker refused to tip so I tipped 2 bucks. I am never going back.

The best thing was the jasmin tea. I had kung pao chicken and it had no heat in spite of having the pepper symbol next to it on the menu and the sauce was too sweet; it had no flavor except for sweet. My husband had the sweet & sour chicken and said it was very bla tasting. The service was good. The dishes were antique and antique is fine with me if its in good shape, but every dish had numerous chips and generally looked old and shabby. I should have had a clue when I saw that there were no parking places across the street at Applebees, but lots of space and only 3 or 4 filled tables at Zen Asia. Overall it was very disappointing. I took home leftovers so as not to insult the staff by leaving 3/4s of my meal on my plate. Im considering straining the sauce and making a new sauce with sherry, ginger, garlic and soy sauce and of course I will add some dried hot peppers (a bunch of them!). That should do the trick. :)

Zen Asia is the hidden jewel of the North (of St. Paul that is). The Pho is the best around the burbs and I think is better than Pho 79. I go for the Pho Ga (Vietnamese Chicken soup) and the pork egg roles, both are outstanding. This is our favorite local eatery and its a family owned and run establishment. They serve Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai food. The menu is big, the choices are plenty and they have American choices for the kids as well. The prices are reasonable and comparable to other similar restaurants of this type, but the ambiance and family friendly atmosphere add to its elegance unlike the Pho 79s our there. It is tucked just North of Valvoline and Applebees off of Hwy 96 and West of Centerville Road. Best way to get there is turn into Cub Foods from Centerville and then proceed West on Meadowlands Dr. You will soon be a return customer!

Yes! Ive been looking for a place like this near us for years. Its close to our house, easy to get to and clean. Parking was easy and there is even a pokestop. The gal who was working was the only front of the house staff person there but she was running like a bat out of hell and service was still fast. She was super friendly and funny and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. The egg rolls were amazing. The fresh spring rolls where exactly was they should be and delicious. The shrimp pad thai was fantastic, which is a major win because its hard to find pad thai in the burbs never mind good pad thai. The other customers were raving about the pho and Singapore noodles. Even though I love pad thai Ill have to give those a try next time. Well definitely be back.

This place is the full package: Terrific food, beautiful decor, a convenient location and friendly staff. I fly in from LA about 3-4 times a year to visit my family and usually we have to drive all the way to Minneapolis to get decent Vietnamese food. Well not anymore, this place is better than a lot of what you get downtown AND the parking is easy. I had the mock duck Bun salad and it was great (I love mock duck and they definitely had the seasoning dead on). My friend had the rice place which she loved, I think Ill have to try that next. The food was really really fresh which is great when its sooo cold outside. Plus, they gave me soo much food Ill probably be eating and enjoying it for the next two days.

In the area on business....exited here for by chance....what a pleasant surprise! The hostess was delightful and welcomed me, warmer than family! I ordered what she recommended....pho with everything, and a fresh spring roll to start. Spring rolls were amazing....fresh herbs! Tremendous flavors! Then the pho.....again, amazingly spiced and fresh herbs to boot! This wasnt approximated for tongue dull Americans....I was served top notch, delicious food with homey-warm service. I loved it!

Good variety of food options, well prepared and seasoned and excellent service. Server was polite and regularly came to our table to make sure food was prepared to our liking and that our tea pot was full. Jasmine tea was great. Good selection of appetizers. Generous servings. My lunch mate had been there before with his family and our server recognize him and asked about his child and wife. Very friendly and welcoming environment.

Our experience was fantastic! We did go for a later lunch on a Friday, so it wasnt very busy at that time. That being said, the staff was very attentive and helpful. Menu is extensive and lots to choose from. Almost too much, but not quite. The food was fantastic (I posted photos of our dishes), and my fiancee really enjoyed the spicy chili sauce that sits at the table. I would highly suggest swinging in to eat here.

My family has been going here for the last year and we still love it! Excellent Vietnamese food and you get a lot for your money. The banquet room can also be used for large gatherings; which we did for my wifes parents anniversary. Somewhat out of the way but once you go there, you will go back. We were used to Quangs in MPLS but this is very close if not better!

The waitress did forget to come back and see if we needed refills on our drinks, but she apologized and got us refills right away. We will definitely be back. Yum!
