I was here the other night and from the outside it looked like any other Chinese restaurant screaming buffet. It had been a while since I had a chance to enjoy a Chinese buffet and I was plenty excited. Then I was plenty dissapointed! I got there a little before 8pm on a friday and there was a sign that said the buffet was until 8pm. I asked if the buffet was would still be good and I was assured, swept right into a table, and then told I would be billed when I leave. I take medium plates so no huge dents in the buffet by me, but here was my 3 plate experience. First plate: Things looked a little thin, but there was at least a little bit of most left?* so I was able to get a sampler plate going. Second plate: After eating my first plate entirely with a spoon (hostess forgot about me). My second trip really gave me little options, so I just resorted to getting rice and different spices of chicken since that was all that was left. At this point I was really hoping that they would replenish something since they were selling the buffet up to 8pm. Third plate: I grabbed a plate and theres simply wasnt buffet selection anymore. It looked more like a frat house kitchen with left over Tonys pizza, stale fries, and random shreds of chinese food. THIRD PLATE = EMPTY PLATE Thats right, 25 minutes in and there wasnt even enough of a selection to put together a plate of anything worthwhile. What I took in my first two plates was left, but picked over. Dessert: Apparently their ice cream machine has been broken and it has been this way for sometime. Its important to note that they will not tell you this, youll find out for yourself when you see the sorry sign on the machine itself. Full blown buffet let down for $12.86... its not the money, but how I really felt like I wasnt told what I should have been told upfront. I was lead to believe that the buffet experience was on the menu and it really wasnt... for the amount I ate I could have had twice as much take out with left overs to enjoy today. But I took a chance with this place, and it was a failure. Here are the 3 things they should have told me. 1) That the buffet was no longer being replenished. 2) There was no more dessert and the ice cream machine was out of order (and has been for a while I was told on my way out when I brought it up). 3) Um, THE PRICE? When you go there what they will do is get you into a table and tell you to grab a plate and take a drink order. When you return to your table you have a blank order slip with nothing on it, no price. Along with the order slip your silverware is provided by the hostess, somehow this last part was too much! It took them 30 minutes to get a fork to me, Let me tell you people look at you funny when youre eating a whole plate with a spoon. This was the first time/only time I will ever eat here. My advice is that if you still plan on eating here, go when the buffet is starting. Anytime after 7pm for the buffet I would simply consider other options. Since I have to give this place a star it gets 1... because they have wi-fi.

Okay, I admit it; this is the ONLY Chinese Food restaurant that I go to. No matter where I live in Minnesota, I will drive the 30 minutes it now takes to get there. Get this people; there is a Chinese Food place five blocks away from me. God bless them but no. THIS is where you go to get the best. The house fried rice has this smoky flavor to it that I just love. The cream cheese won-tons, crispy and delicious. The egg foo yung, fresh and SO tasty! So, if you have not tried this place. Go. Warning - no Chinese food will ever taste right to you again except if it is from here. There is only a couple of things that I was not pleased with and that is the buffet, sorry guys but I am not crazy about your buffet. The food isnt hot, none of my favorites are available. What is the use of a Chinese buffet without your usual choice of fried rice? Also, if you eat in, I rarely do. The service is spotty at best. I have had good service there maybe twice, the rest of the time, I had to get proactive and call a waitress over. Not even the same waitress because she had disappeared. And dont let something interesting be on television because the wait staff will sit down and watch it. In the restaurant. Totally ignoring you. So, I have not tipped for bad service but made sure to leave a generous tip the two times that I had great service AND called the manager over in order to compliment the waitress. So, if you go please remember; the buffet is NOT a good indication of the delicious food to be had. ... it should be.... but its not.

Darn, this food was scrumptious! My pal Dennis and I decided, "Well golly gosh, lets get some Chinese food!" So we went on our smart telephones, and found this magnificent palace! From the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out, I was in awe of this authentic atmosphere and amazing food! I sat myself down thinking, "I outta get me some cream cheese puffs!" But my wonderful waitress told me I should try some frog, and gosh darn, why not! And let me say, it was just ribbiting! HA! You think Beyoncé has legs, well think again, those frog legs were out of this world! But that was just the appetizer. Next I decided to try the duck, because Duck it! HA! There I go again! The soft, tasty meat had me quacking for more! And when I ordered my favorite dish, the Egg Foo Young, the waitress said, "Well dont you put the young in Egg Foo Young!" HOW FLATTERING!! Oh em gosh, I have almost forgotten, the bubble tea! Who could have thought that bubbles were more than just making bath time fun! Needless to say, I had more fun sipping on this delicious beverage! They might as well rename this place to StarBucks, or should I say, 5-StarBucks, because that drink made me want to shut my eyes and teleport to China! But golly, I never thought I could I could experience something so ethnic in St. Paul. Im so glad me and my pal Dennis stopped in to this magnificent establishment, Ill be hurrying on back for some more of this ethnic food, because God knows I need some culture!

I read the reviews and decided to go since I was right across the street. When I walked through the door the sign said wait to be seated but no one came to seat me. After ten mins I walked and walked up to the waitress to ask if I could seat myself. She looked like I was bothering her and gruffed, ” yeah go head”. The food choices were minimal and the only seafood was shrimp. After a trip to the food bar and back I started eating halfway through my salad before I realized no one ever came to give me a drink. I got up and asked the young waitress that was working can I get my own drink or will you serve me. I knew from her negative response that was going to be a minor war. Skipping to the end I decided that since no one ever came back to refill my cup I was going to do it myself. When she seen me go to the soda machine, she rolled her eyes toward the young guy she was talking to and snatched my cup. I took that time to ask her to bring me my check, she then filled my cup half way and told me I was leaving anyway. All hell would have broke loose if I walked out without paying...get better workers and food, they suck.
