Based on a recommendation, we decided to give Wok Star a shot. We walked into the restaurant and there was only one other customer. The young lady behind the counter did not greet us when we entered. As we approached the counter, she simply stared at us. No smile. No gesture. Just a flat, glazed over look of someone who did not enjoy her job. Perhaps she was having a bad day? With that thought in mind, my partner and I both took turns greeting her. We received little more than a mumble and she continued staring as if to say "what is it that you want?". We decided to spend our funds on dinner elsewhere. Sadly, we will never know if the food was as outstanding as reported by our friend. In a town where there are ample, delicious options for Chinese/Asian food I think we will be okay.

wok star has reliably consistent flavor and service. the staff seems to be the daughters of the owner, and do a great job. the place is small and typically isnt full or loud. their "rock" theme is different and i personally dig it. the food isnt the absolute best in town, but it is tasty

Very good, authentic Chinese food. HUGE portions and fair pricing. The General Chicken is the best Ive ever eaten. The interior is decorated with rock albums and guitars. They even have a stage truss with can lights over the counter. Check this out...its sure to become a regular stop.

I drive a truck coast to coast and live in Pennsylvania. I was laid over in Springfield for the night and this place was close. Usually Chinese places are a dime a dozen but this was really the best General Tsos chicken Ive ever had. Price was great too.

I absolutely love this place. Huge portions, more than I ever can eat. Great value, way cheaper than the competition and better food. It seems as if all the smart people eat there. Great food, Great atmosphere. You are missing out if you dont try it.

Great experience. Owner is super friendly. Very nice relaxing atmosphere. And very cool interior with the rock theme. And the food is great, good portions and they give an option for spicy or REALLY spicy. I love going there. Its a must try.

I had it delivered. Im giving it a 4. The food taste is a solid 3 for me. Just a little on the good side. But when you add the cheaper price and large portion its a 4 maybe a low 5.
