So last night, were sitting around contemplating getting some Chinese. Our neighbors have spoken of Asian Hon before saying "Its not the best, but its good, and they deliver." So I head to Google to read some reviews. I must say after reading a review that says "I ate last there last night. I am not dead......yet. I might be soon, tell my wife I love her." Its tough to go "lets give it a shot, may be good!" But thats exactly what we did. And Im glad we did! We ordered a few different things, and was kinda thinking it was a bit expensive. Thinking our food would arrive in those small Chinese boxes. But I was wrong. The portions here are crazy. Big Styrofoam boxes filled with food! It was amazing. Way too much to eat in one sitting, but plenty for left overs. And to top it off, even though it took 45 mins for delivery, which they said it would, the food was all HOT and fresh! #Winning! I ordered the following Sesame Chicken - the sauce was a good flavor, but there was too much breading on the chicken. Think next time well request no breading. A good sesame flavored sauce. We ordered it "medium" heat, and it wasnt spicy at all. We got this with fried rice instead of the included white rice. I mix the rice in with everything so I cant speak to its flavor alone, but it complimented the dishes well. Would have again. Chicken Lo Mein - Thick noodles and BIG chunks of chicken. The flavor reminded me of the lo mein that was served at Kings Buffet in Burnsville. It is very tasty. Mixes well with any of the other chicken dishes too. Would have again. Lovers Delight which is 2 dishes in one, Hunan Beef, and General s Chicken: Hunan Beef - basically a beef and broccoli dish, just a slightly different flavor though. I liked the flavor and the sauce goes well with the broccoli. I mixed mine with white rice, and it was very good. Would have again. Generals Chicken - This was a different flavor than any General Tso chicken Ive had before. Didnt LOVE it, only because I love my general chicken a very certain way, and thats the way Eddie Cheng in Burnsville makes it, but I did enjoy it nevertheless. Would have again. Cream Cheese Wontons: OMFG these are some of the best Ive had. I ate 4 of them =) The cheese wasnt thick, it was hot and creamy. The wonton thing was think and crumbly. And the sweet and sour dipping cause was delightful. Yummy in my tummy! WILL have again! So overall, my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed the food, and ate way more than we should have. But still had plenty for both of us to stuff ourselves again for lunch the next day. Im about to go heat mine up right now. So if youll excuse me...

I just got finished eating at the Asian Hon for the first time. Luckily we arrived there right after they opened and must have beaten the lunch rush. We were sat promptly next to the windows which gave us such nice natural light. A welcome break from the harsh florescent bulbs that most of us are subjected to during the work day. The menus there are so extensive there are plenty of options for any one or any appetite. I settled on the General Chicken special combo. It came with a generous portion of Generals Chicken, Steamed Broccoli, Fried Rice, and an Egg Roll w/Sweet & Sour sauce. The food was amazing, and quite possibly the best Asian food in downtown Shakopee. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing, and they even have an HD Television playing afternoon shows for you to enjoy. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and made the visit very enjoyable. I would highly recommend trying the Asian Hon for yourself.

Place has to be a front business for something shady. Drive by there all the time during lunch hour and if there is more than just the same employees car in the parking lot we are surprised. Neve seen a delivery vehicle either. Cant stay in business like that unless you have "Extra curricular" income. Thick weeds growing by the door, dead bugs literally on the table you eat on. Dont think they own a vacuum. Surprisingly the food tasted decent, but most of us felt like crud after. Not sick, just not well. And the lady was nice. Go somewhere else. ***Update*** Drove by there for lunch today and there is a seperate food truck in their parking lot selling food. Name another restaurant that would be ok with giving permission to another restaurant to set up shop in their parking lot .....

We Ordered Delivery, and had a pleasant, tasty, and kind experience! Wait time: about 1 hour (they quoted accurately) Delivery: no extra charge, takes credit card, and included 2 complimentary fried donuts! The quality of the food is similar with other chinese restaurants i have been to. Even the seafood lo mein pleased my 21 year old female friend. I got the specialty plate, around $8 at the time of this posting and you get a main dish, fried rice, and an egg roll. You get a large quantity of food. The food is a little greasy, but that is par for the course when you order chinese delivery! A satisfactory option for us when we realized panda express was locked behind valley fairs gates!

The food was good. Ordered sesame shrimp & felt that I didnt get as much as expected for $11.95. Asked to substitute white rice for fried rice & was charged $4.50. The funny thing is you can get a pint of fried rice for only $3.95! Next time I will order it extra, pay less & still get a pint of white rice with my order. That made no sense. The restaurant itself leaves a bit to be desired, but thankfully I had ordered carry out. But like I said, the food was good so I will probably go back. I think.

I was convinced by a adventurous coworker to sit down and eat at the Hon. Sesame Pidgeon i mean Chicken Combo for lunch. Very good food!! I will have the food again. The interior of the restaurant was "acceptable". Lets just say that 9 of 10 may skip this place on appearance alone. If youve seen my wife, you know that appearances dont mean anything to me. Ill update my star rating, after I see how much weight I loose from the food poisoning!

This place is amazing. True, the restaurant itself does look a little sketchy, but the food is the unbelievable. I would not dine in, but take out is great. My wife, Regina, and I have been sampling the menu for some time and have yet to find anything that was not delicious. Mongolian Chicken, Kung Pow Chicken, Pepper Beef, Lo Mein, Cream Cheese Wontons, all of it out of this world.

We had delivery from them over the weekend. The food and service were remarkable. Our food arrived hot 5 minutes early. I had the dumplings, orange chicken with veggie lo mein. It was so good, I was in a food coma for a couple hours. Everything was cooked to my liking. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because my wifes fried rice was slightly dry. Would highly recommend.

The Pad Thai is pretty decent. 5 "levels" of spice, the medium is good for those that like just a hint of spice, I go with the 4. Prices are a little high. Ive seen reviews that say the interior isnt the best, I disagree. If you want the feel of a chain resteraunt, go elsewhere, this place has character. Older Asian female is adorable and makes me smile.
