Jade Fountain is the best food in this area. Dont go to Cove or 6smith. Ive been going here almost all of my life, this place has always been good. I used to ask to go here on my birthday when I was a kid. In the competition of restaurants and Chinese American restaurants Jade Fountain has withstood the test of time and he merged one of the top competitors in the Twin Cities. Theres a place called Tea House on shelard Parkway not far from here in Plymouth. Back in the days that place used to rival Jade Fountain. But you cant even get a clean fork, knife, plate or cup at tea house anymore. I asked 3 times and I couldnt get a washed plate, silverware or I washed cup. Were talking total nightmare collapse of Sanity at Tea House in Plymouth. This is the next nearest authentic Asian American joint. So eat at Jade Fountain and love it. The tea is fantastic. I asked for lettuce with my Sesame beef and the waiter who must have been desperate to go home and get out of there was very impatient with us coming in late in the day and was kind of thrown through a loop when I asked for lettuce to go with my Sesame beef. The guy didnt get it. But thats okay. Try it youll like it.

I am only reviewing the Buffet not menu order items. My experience was a bit taken back when I was not allowed to dish up my items at the buffet. They dish up everything for you making for a somewhat odd experience. I like to mix it up a bit and try a little of everything but when someone is dishing up my plate I say awkward. Regardless, the food as all similar in flavor with some type of sweet wine taste to it. The eggrolls were a bit above average in the spring roll department. We had barely finished our plate and the server brought out our check. No service for water and no offer for seconds. We took it upon ourselves to take a second trip. There are many great buffets in the area so Jade Fountain better step things up. We may come back for some house dishes but for now I need some time.

My daughter and I were in Wayzata for a soccer tournament over the weekend and her and I are the only ones in the family that like Chinese food. When we get away we always find a place to go. I read the reviews first and was not sure what to expect because there were mixed opinions. I am so glad that I took a chance on this place. The food was great, it was hot and had perfect flavor. The staff did a great job, looks to be a family run place, they were at the table every time I needed something. You get what you pay for, this cost a bit more than going to a buffet but the quality is well worth the price. I am critical of everything and looked for a reason to put something negative but was not able to find any of the issues noted in the "bad" reviews.

This is my go to Chinese food place. I love their lomein. Its something about the seared wok flavor on the noodles. Awesome fried dumplings and wontons. Not to expensive. Take out is fast. Eat in speed depends on how busy they are. Like most familiy owned Chinese place they dont have many employees, only the family. So if they are busy, service is a little slow. I go here all the time..

Paid $4 for Vegetable Fried Rice to go, and got a small take out box. I guess Im used to getting a larger amt. for that price. Plus the only vegetables in the mix were mushrooms, onions and peas. I love a good veggie fried rice with tons of veggies. Every Chinese restaurant is different, its good to know what youre paying for.

Ive been going to Jade Fountain since they opened in the late eighties. Their great food and personal service is what keeps bringing me back. The fact that theyve been around for so long is a testament to the dining experience. All of the staff is very personable and truly enjoy the relationships they create.

I completely disagree with all of these negative reviews!! Ive been going to Jade Fountain for over 10 years and absolutely LOVE it. Ive always had great service (dine in and take out) and their sesame chicken is to die for; and the cream cheese puffs are amazing!

Went in to order take-out. The employees were really nice and it was really easy to place an order. I got sesame tofu, egg drop soup, and shrimp fried rice. Wait was not long. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend!
