for MN, this place passes as a Mexican restaurant...but its kinda bland. I dont know how they make the queso so bland...how hard can that be to make better. And the chips....why do they always taste like 2 day old chips....always stale. tonight was a 2 fer....after losing $100 at the casino, I stopped in to drown my sorrows. I ordered the bland queso, which is not exactly cheap....and come with stale chips, but as soon as I started eating it, out comes my burro. now this might be my fault for NOT telling the experienced bartender that I wanted some time between the two, but I didt. so I get half way thru the molten queso, and the burro appears. now this is ridiculous! of course, the burro is cold by the time I slice into it, because the queso is that expensive and Im not taking it home. sheesh. where do these guys get trained? BuffetsRus? pace it people.... sheesh again. I did tip the standard min of 15%, but the bartender/server would have received more had he a clue on how to order and serve meals. I mean comon, its just one person...ME. and the bar was empty. you cant blame the kitchen for being fast, you can only blame the person who took the order and had it placed way too early. oh, and the burro was OK...but too heavy on the chipotle seasoning. it tasted like lasagna with chipotle sauce on it. Ive had soooo much better in Cali and AZ. they really need to re-invent the whole menu. its lame.

The service was slow. Quiet a few workers but all seemed unenthused to be there. We waited awhile before we were greeted. For as slow as they were they certainly had a lot of people walking around but not offering assistance to the obvious. I was able to watch our food sitting on the counter waiting for someone to bring out. A women in a sort of suit and an undefined purpose did walk over to it with a drink in her hand and look at it for awhile. My wife had ordered a vegitable taco and being also vegan no cheese. Which eliminated the beans and rice from her plate. The server offered her what turned out to be two 1/3rd pieces of corn on the cob as a substitute. Which she proceeded to charge us for. Perhaps the most disturbing thing about our visit would have to be watching one of the servers staring blankly out at the bright window repeatly running her fingers through her hair. Then reaching down and grabbing silverware and rolling them in napkins. She could have of course had sanitizer in her hair and it was really business as usual. Slow, overpriced and unsanitary. Will not be back.

We were there as a party of four on September 8 (last night) celebrating my boyfriends birthday. I ordered the red snapper fish tacos. They were AWFUL. The snapper was nothing more than a few flakes and lumps of clearly too-old fish. I know Im not getting fresh-out-of-the-ocean fish in Minnesota and that restaurants will sometimes serve slightly non-fresh fish if it is camouflaged by other items in the dish, but they pushed it way too far. If our waiter had been able to come by sooner I would have told him and sent my tacos back. My friend ordered the lobster tacos. The lobster was disappointing - nothing more than breaded and deep-fried little chunks, and far too few of them, but it was fresher than the snapper. The guys both loved their meals (various enchiladas). The rice and beans were great too. Our waiter was a super-nice guy but had too many tables. In all fairness, as we were leaving a manager did ask us how our food was, and I didnt say anything about my rotten meal because I didnt want to put a damper on my boyfriends evening.

Ive been here multiple times for Happy Hour and it has always been a great experience. Until yesterday when I went yet again for Happy Hour. We walked in and was told it was seat yourself in the bar area. When we couldnt find a spot, we asked for a table. We were seated literally 5 feet from the bar area. When our waitress came, we asked for a Happy Hour menu. She said that Happy Hour menu is only valid in the bar area and outside. WHAT??? So, let me get this straight. You are making the same items with the same ingredients (Cheese Crisps - which I always get) but charging $5 more to be 5 feet away from the bar??? This makes absolutely NO SENSE!!!! I asked her if we get better service or better food because of the higher prices and she said NO. Haha! This rule they have is a joke!! I can honestly say I dont understand their reasoning behind this. Anyone?? If I ever go back there again which is unlikely.....I will sit in the bar for Happy Hour and if there isnt room. Another restaurant will get my service and money!!!

Hated it! Never in my life have I gone to a restaurant and experienced what I did. Went to the St. Louis Park location and got yelled at by the manager. The manager cutoff our happy hour because we werent in our seats which is extreme and unprofessional. Sorry for chatting by the bar for 10 minutes. Its understandable if he wouldve approached us in a nice manner and said we should take our seats, but he came off like a bouncer ready to kick us out. If you do decide to go, just make sure youre in your seats at all times. The manager seriously walks around to check, he even watches to see if you are going to the bathroom. Thanks for NOT being accommodative and courteous to your customers. The food was not that great and the amount of food is too little for the price you pay. Spent more than I shouldve on top of being yelled at. Will NEVER go back again! RUDE is the word to describe this place. Please dont waste your money here.

Was here today with family for dinner. Everyone at our table loved the food! The problem is your drink service! None of your servers seem to be trained 1/2 glass or under rule. I happened to order another xxx at about 1/2 full bc I realized how slow they are actually getting you your drinks.. 15 min later my beer was long gone and I had to get a little upset about him forgetting about me. I told him "you forgot about me and Im not happy" he (server) with no care says the stupidest thing Ive ever heard "well I forgot about your beer, not about you" Anyway , we will not be back based on your drink service! How dare you charge a premium for drink service and not be on top of it! Lets face it, drinkers like to drink.. no dilly dally. Pay attention, and keep em coming. Side note: you should automatically provide ice water without having to ask for it. Also, Imo you should have a hot sauce selection at every table.

So I just got to spend the last 4 plus hours in the hospital after having one margarita due to my blood alcohol level being twice the legal limit after puking for 2 hours. When the people I was with called just to see if something in the drink could have caused such a viscous reaction they were hung up on by the general manager. I had eaten before going out and was eating while there so I doubt it was due to an empty stomach and Im definitely not a twig quickly effected. The fact that this could so quickly happen when Im very cautious of monitoring my intake and reacted to with so little concern is alarming. Im lucky I had my co-workers and a roommate who could get me to a hospital but am worried that this practice could end up putting others in danger, will be contacting the better business bureau in the morning over safety concerns.
