The pomegranate sparkling green tea is refreshing and fruity! The perfect balance between fruit flavor, tea essence, and bubbles! This item I would rate 5-star. The cream-cheese-frosted pumpkin bars are wonderful-- lots of cozy spices in the moist, sweet cake, and plenty of creamy rich frosting. I give it 4.5 stars. I cannot speak for the coffee, as I have not actually tried it yet! The sandwiches..... Well, I am unimpressed with the rather high prices for what seem to be merely average sandwiches. And the quiche slices are equally overpriced, although the flavors are enticing. There doesnt seem to be any meal-type item offered for a decent price, and this is where they lose a star or two from me. I came here late one evening with a friend and was not about to order coffee that late in the day, so I had hoped to find something nice to snack on. Cafes are usually good for that-- just a bite to go along with the drinks! But not here. I cant rate the sandwiches because I havent tried them, but that is because the price alone has already deterred me. if I remember correctly, it was nearly seven apiece. On the upside, on another day when I came here, the woman behind the counter was very friendly and answered my questions willingly. About the childrens area: since this cafe does cater to those with young children, it would not be fair of anyone to rate this cafe lower for that reason. I have personally never been disturbed by the happy babble of young ones, and the alcove-like setting makes it easy to keep the children contained and allow them to play while their caregivers relax nearby. A very nice perk. There are PLENTY of other cafes around for those who prefer a quieter and more adult experience. All in all, a lovely little neighborhood cafe.

What I like best about this place is the seating. They have a variety of options to meet different needs. Quiet couches in the back corner are great for small meetings, a relaxed center seating arrangement offers a great place for study groups or those meeting with kids in tow, a couple lazy chairs by the window, and a number of two and four tops round it out. There is a separate play area for tots and they have electrical plug-ins everywhere. The food is a bit spendy but tasty. I paid $12 and change for a sandwich, large coldpress coffee and dollar tip. Another bonus is its location. Just kiddy corner from the Riverview Theatre, means I can get some work done while my teens catch a weekday $2 matine. Bonus!

Came here with my boyfriend to kill time before our movie across the street. Very friendly service and cute, comfortable atmosphere. I had my very first espresso here and the gentleman that helped us was so nice and advised me to only do one shot instead of two :P They also had live music which was way fun and unexpected. Great spot to relax with friends!

We walked in to get a latte befoe a movie we were going to across the street. The ambiance was nice...quiet, people playing chess...until our barista (sp) decided to take his bad day on us...to bad, but I feel worse for him because there was no reason for being that rude. Respect for the place he works for was lacking. Thanks for the poor experience.

This place always delivers. A great little neighbohood hangout. I can always count on finding my neighbors and friends here. What a great amenity to the Longfellow area. Many thanks to the owners for providing such a great local business with consistent service and great staff. Without this business our neighborhood wouldnt be the same.

I ordered a single espresso. It was pretty bad. Weak, thin and no real crema to speak of. Beans were ground who knows when? Certainly not right then and there. I hate when Starbucks wins. There was a crazy woman dressed to look French that scared me. You may want to keep in mind that kid friendly is only good if you are a parent.

This place had a great atmosphere and the people were great. I came here with my wife last weekend, we had made time to come here before dinner with the kids later that night. We sat under one of those things on the ceiling. The place was nice and relaxing. the lady was very friendly and interesting, as we were to her.

I was very happy to be turned on to this place by a fellow toddler papa. Very nice atmosphere (great jazz) and so wonderful to have a play area for kids, so parents can talk and have their kids be occupied!
