Unbelievably bad, cant believe they have stayed open this long. Consistently very poor service, employees too busy chatting with each other and playing with their phones to watch for customers, and a manager that doesnt seem to have any interest in the business. Ive given it a lot of tries for the sake of having some variety in the area, but in the time theyve been open, Ive never had one positive non-problem visit. Counter people all seem to be untrained and not familiar with the menu; food orders, once charged to the customer, are frequently just forgotten until reminded (as is giving the perks / credit cards back), drinks are inconsistent and often wrong; service is unbelievably slow -- as few customers as they have, theres no excuse for this kind of slowness -- and Ive never seen so many people in a single store have such issues with the register or basic math. Tonight I watched one counter person roll up a dirty work-area floormat, without even wearing gloves. And when I ordered food, they charged my card, and after a few minutes when no one was making a move to prepare it, someone else came back and said they didnt have what I ordered. And she did not know how to do a refund, and there was no manager there so she had to call on the phone. So ten minutes to order, get billed, and then get credited back. Its clear there is no interest in improving anything there, they should just shut the location down. We can get real service, accurate drinks and decent food at the Starbucks on the other side of the parking lot. Or at one of the other Caribou locations. This one is just horrible.

What is the deal with the Caribou on Dinkirk in Maple Grove? We were there on Grand Opening...and still keep trying to get a crafted drink and timely service. A lot of time spent apologizing for untrained staff, and capability. However, upon observation, they seem very unorganized and not focused on getting the in and out process down. Waiting 10- 22 minutes in the drive through, or getting new Salted Vanilla Latte without the vanilla is not quite right. Slow moving sandwich prep, to many people in one corner of the store by the take out window. When asked what the topping was on a specialty latte, it took 4 people to get the answer at the register. When we asked for vanilla in the vanilla drinks... Two other patrons chimed in and said their drink was flavorless as well. We have been there at least a dozen times.... going back shame on us. They seem to need a new light to turn it into the vision expected by patrons. We here Starbucks calling, and for our neighborhood daily stop we will have to leave the Bou behind.

Out of any Caribou in the area, this one is my least favorite. I love Caribou and will go to one over Starbucks all day. The service time at this particular location is exceptionally long. The process and delivery from start to finish frequently appears chaotic and unorganized. Often times, an item I want is not available. I was offered a free bakery item coupon once. I surveyed the store as a frequent visitor and 3 times out of 5, my order was wrong. I now go in expecting it to be wrong and correct them ahead of time or at the counter, instead of driving through and realizing it a mile down the road. The store and bathrooms are always clean and the staff is always friendly and polite. However, friendly staff is only 1/2 the equation. Id rather go to an establishment that can get the customer service AND my order correct in a timely fashion.

The plus is the number of tables and the cushy comfortable chairs by the (fake) fireplace. The service is downright abysmal. Every time. There are always several people working, one at the register (not always -- Ive had to actually yell out sometimes to get someone to come there), who also has to stop and put gloves on to fix bagels, one or two at the coffee machines, and the rest sort of milling around. When Ive ordered food, theyve gotten the order wrong more often than not -- and sometimes they forget it altogether. The hours are very limited (they close the coffeeshop at 8:00pm most nights), and despite going back from time to time and giving it another chance, it never changes. I can hardly believe theyre still open.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW .. I work at the dry cleaners next door , so I call to order my drink and then run and grab it cause I cant be gone for 10 minutes just to grab a drink .. the other day , I called and then had two customers come in , so it was like 7 or 8 minutes between when I called them and when I finally got there .. my drink wasnt even finished yet , they had JUST started making it when I got to the register .. I loooooove caribou , but this one is the slowest one Ive EVER been to .. in fact its the slowest coffee shop Ive ever been to overall .. if I could / had the time , Id walk across the parking lot and just go to starbucks ..

Slow, always -- employees always seem to be new and untrained. They seem to go through a lot of managers, as well. Today for the THIRD time, I ordered food and a drink, paid with my credit card, sat down and got comfortable, only to be told a few minutes later that they were out of the food. Three times -- they need to make a practice of KNOWING what they are out of. WHY is this place still open??? Caribou is / was a respected coffeeshop, and there are good ones -- but this place is really hurting the name. Their reputation in the neighborhood is universally poor, everyone knows it as the "bad" Caribou. Thank heavens for the nearby Starbucks.

We ordered an ice tea and Caramel High rise. They told us to pull ahead as the tea wasnt ready. We sat for 10 minuted waiting. Parked and went in to ask where our drinks were. The workers behind the counter were huddled up chatting. No one was paying attention to the counter so I said excuse me and explained we were still waiting for our order. She said ok and walked away. Another gentleman asked if I had been helped yet, and the other girl working told him it was taken care of. 20 minutes total to get an Ice tea without so much as an apology. Im a patient person usually but that was ridiculous.

I think this is a great little spot! I love their breakfast sandwich selections. They do seem to take a little bit longer than some branches, especially the drive-through, but seriously people, plan ahead, or dont let having to wait a little bit of unexpected time for your food ruin your day. I think Id rather have them made fresh and take a little bit of time to make than pre-made and faster service. Everything happens for a reason, maybe the universe is telling you to slow the #&$@ down and enjoy the time you have in this life you fools!
