I wanted to take a moment to rant and place a review. Maybe it’s more of a rant. But maybe people will take notice the next time they visit. Does your server always say hello? I live near this restaurant and work across the street from it. I avoid this restaurant unless someone that I am lunching with must go because it’s close. I think they forgot the greeting training in the handbook for the servers. On more than one occasion, I have shown up to this restaurant, sat at a table and the first thing I hear is what can I get you to drink? What ever happened to: Hello My name is ???? How are you doing today? Have you been here before? Can I start you off with a beverage, ice tea, lemonade? How is everything? Can I get you anything else, maybe dessert? Thanks for stopping in. Hope to see you again. I think the staff is no longer happy here. They come in as there is still a good crowd that comes in for meals. Maybe most people don’t care how they are treated, but I can tell you, when someone forgets to say hello, I forget to leave a tip. Going out to eat is a luxury for many of us during this financial hardship. I expect to be a little pampered no matter what the meal. Next time you’re out and about, see what kind of greeting is offered at your favorite place to dine. Management needs to take note and do some retraining.

Heres whats great about GDC: 1. Chicken noodle soup. Its all homemade, including the noodles. In one word: amazing. 2. Homemade jams, toast and buns. If you order a burger it will come on one of their homemade buns and let me tell you: it makes the burger. 3. Their GDC potatoes. Probably the most consistently good thing about the breakfast. Now as for everything else, this place is unfortunately overrated. Ive eaten here probably over 10 times, both for breakfast and for dinner. Every one of their scrambles and omelets Ive had has been underwhelming, undersized and overpriced. When it comes to seasonal pancakes/French toast, GDC seems to mistake innovation and creative combinations for sheer sweetness. As for dinner, Ive had the meatloaf, the steak salad, the meatballs and the burger. The burger is probably is best option here but its still a little overpriced. However, everything does usually come out fast so thats a plus. But honestly, one could do better with all the other choices available in the area.

I live near 394 and have passed GDC so many times, always saying to myself "I should check this place out". My boyfriend and I went today. It was bright and clean and spacing of the tables were good. We were seated and served immediately. Looking at the menu was a slight shock. They could at least provide a couple of options for a traditional breakfast "meal". i.e., Toast, bacon, eggs, and potatoes for a set price. Or even just eggs, meat, and a bread item. But, you pretty much have to order a-la-carte. (Disclaimer: I dont eat eggs and only briefly perused that portion). We paid $7.50 each for a belgian waffle and french toast. We paid $2.50 for 2 slices of bacon and $4.50 for two sausage patties (YES! TWO). A glass of orange juice was $5.50 and maybe if oranges were in season the fact that it was fresh squeezed may have mattered. In the end, we paid $37 for breakfast. Yowzers. It was good but not that good...Keys Cafe is a much better option. eta: The coffee was horrendous.

Lets start with the food...i came here twice with my boyfriend to get lunch during the happy hour, to be honest I forgot what we ordered since it has been a while lol. But the most recent visit, I ordered a Philly cheesesteak, which was pretty good tasting, so much meat and cheese I almost couldnt finish. We also tried their meatball spaghetti and it was okay, tasted just like homemade nothing special. On to their customer service- they didnt greet us when we entered the restaurant, we kinda had to find a table to sit ourselves down. The waitress didnt smile when she came to the table to take our order, it looked like she didnt want to be there. while we were eating, the waitresses were at another table and I could see that they were looking at us eating!! It really bugged me. I would say they got a lot to improve in customer service, I dont see that I will come here again.

Delicious, every time. Very reasonable prices for delicious food. We come here often for breakfast and we love it each time. There is usually a long wait on the weekends so plan ahead, especially Sundays. We like to come a little after noon and you can still get breakfast or lunch menu if youd like. The inside can get loud at times so we try to sit to the left when you walk in. They have a "nook" area seating where there are about 5 tables that are cozy looking. They do have a nice patio area that is landscaped beautifully. The patio is surrounded by flowers and plants, you forget that you are right next to a parking lot. Its nice to sit out there when you can.

I took my wife and 2 kids to this place on sat. morning and ordered 3 eggs benny, with the eggs fried over med. instead of poached. The waitress said fried eggs?,they said yes fried over med.She said ok ill get that for you. I had the egg sandwitch. The order only took about 10 min.to get to the table and when it did all 3 eggs benny had poached eggs very soft. My egg sandwitch had very thin ham on it that looked like lunch meat,Water added.. We are not pickey and ate our food ..But for a $ 68.00 breakfest i think you should get real ham on your sandwitch and eggs the way you like them...Also the GOOD DAY POTATOS were soggy and cold. NEVER AGAIN

If you hadnt been there before or seen it from the highway it could be difficult to find. Location is in a business park area. Plenty of parking. Big open space with nice decor. Friendly service. I really wanted to like this place more. Bottom line I came here to eat. The food was ok. Nothing exceptional. Pricey. I ordered the Tuna Melt with fries. It was good but not anything i would order again. The fries were hand cut, but limp and greasy. My friend ordered the pastrami sandwich served on marble rye that was almost burnt and greasy and the same sad fries. Im sure they have some good dishes but I cant really recommend what we had.

For $13 bucks I was looking forward to a premium eggs benedict, but was quite disappointed. The hollandaise was thin, and the canadian bacon sparse. On the plus side, they did do a very nice job toasting the english muffin, so props there. The side potatoes were actually the biggest mess. The potatoes were just mush, while the onions were burnt. I suspect the food would be significantly better outside of the morning rush, but if they cant make good food while busy, then the prices should be knocked way down via specials. Really, though, in the Twin Cities is just far easier to go to a better place.

I love this place. They have the best egg sandwich I have ever had. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great. The line may be a a bit long at times, but what else would you expect at a breakfast place on the weekend? Ive been there numerous times, and have never been disappointed. The coffee can be a little bitter sometimes, but I think thats the only downside to the place. Omelets are good and different (leek, gruyer cheese...), the GDC potatoes are well-seasoned, unlike a lot of places with bland breakfast potatoes. Its my favorite breakfast place in the TC and I like a lot of them.
