On Saturday, 2 girlfriends and I went out to support a friends band that was showcasing at dcb. While parking wasnt half as bad as we expected, that was the only good thing about our night. From the moment we walked in the first door, our entire night was micromanaged by this establishment and the employees. As we walked in, we were asked to pay the $5 cover to support the bands ( this was not a problem as we were prepared for this.) we looked around the crowded bar and the only seats that were open were 3 stools at the end of the bar by the kitchen. We finally made our way over to the bar in as we pulled the chairs out to sit one of the bartenders let us know that they were taken. We then stood there for another 10 minutes and finally were able to order our drinks. **they do not serve liquor** Even though we had stamps in our hands we were asked to show our ID once again to order a beer . There was a couple that was standing at the chairs and they grab their drinks and left so we decided we would sit at those schools that were originally taken. Once again the bartender rudely told us that those seats were taken and we could not sit there. Luckily, we were able to find a table that some people were leaving. About one minute after we sat down with our beers we were asked once again to show our stamps and ID. A gentleman came around and picked up all of our beers from the top (where you drink out of) and put costers underneath. Since there are only three of us went to a smaller table opened up we decided to move over so that a larger group would be able to sit at a table as well. Once we moved over we found some menus and decide we wanted to order some food. We sat there for 15 min before deciding we needed to order at the bar, since no one had been around. Once I got up to the bar I asked if I could put in an order for food. I was told by And employee that I would need to wait and somebody would be around. About 10 minutes later someone finally came around to take our order. When we started to make our order we were told to slow down and talk louder. After our order was taken the same gentleman who came around to the first table came around to our second table and proceeded to put coasters under our drinks once again holding it by the top of the the class. While normally this would not bother me the fact that he came around four more times to pick up our drinks and place them on coasters was irritating. After ordering our food I decided to go out and have a cigarette. While there wasnt a lot of space on the patio there was still an area to have a cigarette however many of the guests that were sitting outside or not smoking and they had plenty of rude comments regarding the smoke from the others that were smoking. After walking back in I was once again asked to show my stamp and my ID. We were asked atleast 10 times in the four hours we were there to show our stamps and id. Our food came out at separate times in the $12 pizza we purchased was not correct. We were never asked if everything looked correct and we were never asked if there was anything that we needed. So if you were looking for a night out on the town or are looking to support your friends well they showcase their band I would suggest going elsewhere. Unless you appreciate being micromanaged every step of your night.

I have been here on Tuesday night because they have a live band that plays really great music. Music in the lines of Van Morrison. Their customer service isnt the best thou. Every time i need another drink i feel like i have chase down the bar tender. When i go the bar counter there is normally either a bartender that is busy looking at the cashiers tray or they are running out of the counter area to serve a table. They need servers and have the bartender stay behind the counter. They do serve food too. Not the best of foods but if you are very hungry it does not matter you just eat it. It is edible i guess.

Have been to Driftwood on two occasions, both different nights and different times of the day. On each occasion the bar staff have been visibly overwhelmed and inattentive. Wait time exceeded 25 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. I do, however, appreciate the variety of beer on their (tiny) tap. The staff are friendly if you manage to capture their attention. Good location and live music is always a plus. The joint is probably best enjoyed with a group of friends. Hopefully soon Ill swing through when the experienced staff are working.

The bar is sketchy, the service is bad and the sound guy/door guy/MC is really sexist. If youre in a band avoid the place, they always overbook, did the band before you go over time? Too bad, setup in 5 minutes or youll hear about it. On the plus side theyre willing to book pretty much whoever asks, on the downside this means your metal band could be playing after a country/western band and before a 60s cover band, good luck gaining fans with such an eclectic lineup.

Maestro P band was Excellent, great jazz, r&b, and funk. Worked hard and you could hear it in the music as it touched your soul. Management and staff at Driftwood left much to be desired. Second band, Element 25, first song, singer had a good voice but she didnt enunciate so had no idea what she was singing, bummer. Male singer had an ok voice but couldnt pull off the Black Crows. Left after the first song.

Im here 2x a month for a themed trivia. I love coming here, the staff after 6 pm is great, I live the food. Im friends with the folks who do the trivia and if they had issues they would not be here for the years they have been here. I did find one bartender wasnt very nice, but her replacement the ones Im use too are nice.

The music was great. I got a glass of house red, and it tasted like water and cost me $5. Ive never in my life had worse wine. A person with me ordered another wine and hers tasted like water too. Gross water, like water with soap in it. Dont get any wine here.

One of the coolest little hippy dives Ive visited, total throwback. Live music nightly, on a small corner stage. Food is ok, very average pub food, beer selection is acceptable. But is say its a place everyone needs to visit once to see what they think, its niche...

I love the driftwood! It is a super casual bar with awesome live music! I think they have a band every night, or close it. I have never been disappointed by a band theyve hosted. They do not serve hard liquor, they only have beer and wine.

Ok dive bar. Visited late on a Monday night with my sports team after a game. The bartender seemed surprised and overwhelmed to see so many people. He was nice and the beer was cold. Would go back in a pinch.
