Had absolutely HORRIBLE service. Wait rolled her eyes at me and acted like the problem was my fault. My wait forgot to enter my order an refused to comp to it. People around me got served long before I did. Other people at my table got their food 20 minutes before I did. I sat and waited and waited.. She did not take my order until others who came in 15 minutes after others who came in after me. Then told me that it was a problem with MY ordering! I try to support small local businesses in Minneapolis, but I can not recommend this place. My chicken wings were basically coated with flour and salt....lots of salt. Tasted others food at my table while I waited and the tomato soup and fancy cheese sandwich was excellent. Chicken wings are bland. Wont be going there again.

I have hired Breaking Bread Catering for almost all of my events, conferences, and convenings at Impact Hub MSP and with Global Shapers MPLS. Whether its a breakfast for 10 or a dinner for 120, the team is incredible, supportive, professional, and always accompanied by delicious grub. The brisket! Oh for the love of brisket. And thats just the beginning. Delicious food + a rockstar team + positive impact in the community = taking the catering game to a whole new level. I highly recommend this crew for any size event or gathering you might have!

The prices are reasonable, the portions are sufficient, and the food is delicious. It reminds me of being home in Georgia. Its a great addition to North Minneapolis where it seems there hasnt been much effort to bring in healthy food options. I love that they have a community board with all kinds of job opportunities, community events, and business cards. Im usually so into that community board that I forget about my food. I love going to this place and recommending it to people. Its such a gem.

Who can resist Jerk Shrimp & Cheese Grits with coconut cornbread? Run by Appetite for Change as a neighborhood farm (garden) to table restaurant. Stop by for a world class cappuccino & home made peach cobbler. Its all home made and served by an attentive number of professionals and neighborhood youth. Food that puts a smile in ya. Parking in back.

First time here and I have fell in love! Great food, value, service, and atmosphere! Im stuffed! My taste buds are dancing.... And I didnt spend my rent money getting to this point. As a chef, I have been known to be uber critical of food establishments, but outside of a few chipped plates..... (I hate chipped plates) this place ROCKS!

Me and my son really enjoyed eating and breaking bread Cafe. they have really good food despite the fact that their chicken is has no seasoning other than that I really love the place I love the atmosphere I love the people that go there and the food is really good other than the fact that the chicken has no seasoning.

An absolutely wonderful place! The community tables lend to an inclusive feeling. The art on the walls promotes an easy going vibe & is pleasant to look at as you wait. The food is delicious! I went in for breakfast and was really pleased by everything.

Theres nothing negative I could say bout this place. Try the cherry brisket, the mac and wings, or even the hot breakfast cereal. Damn. And even their compost cookie which I thought sounded goofy, was delicious. Two Michelin star quality comfort food.

Wow! The big bad Northsider was a great dish, so much food and very reasonably priced! They have vegan sausage, amazing coconut cornbread and cheese grits that I actually liked! We will definitely be back to eat on the beautiful outdoor patio!
