Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It wasnt very busy, and we got a table right away. Menu is quite extensive, but we were able to find something that looked to good to eat. We ordered an appetizer with the meal as well. Our server was polite, but was busy working multiple tables, so he only stopped by a few times. Our food came out fairly quickly, but they forgot to bring our appetizer. When the server came back, we told him we never got the appetizer. He took it off our bill on our request since there was no point on getting it when our food had already come out.

Exceptional selections. Really friendly atmosphere. Given how popular they are, Im not surprised. Make it a point to check this place out. If anything, because its the last building on that block with sincere atmosphere. Although, that phrase is snobby "foodie" rhetoric. Its just the easiest way to describe the whole of it.

I am giving this place a 5-star review based solely on my lunch experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was friendly and responsive, and the chili was absolute dynamite. The prices werent great, but not terrible either, and considering how much I enjoyed my soup I really cant complain at all!

I always enjoy The Loon. Cool environment, good service, decent food for average tavern prices (in most cases, some are more than Id expect). Today I wasnt too impressed with the Phili Cheese Steak...would have been better on white bread. Didnt even think to ask the type of bread...

This is an interesting place. The crowds can vary. There doesnt really seem to be a rhyme or reason to when it is busy. They have some interesting drinks and the food is pretty decent. Its half a block from light rail station and a few blocks from target center and target field.

Close to the stadium. The sauce for the walleye tacos was outstanding...... it is a very flavorful intense taste without overpowering everything. I have also tried the loon burger was very tasty. Cool atmosphere nice service. Great place to eat before a ball game for sure.

I heard good things about The Loon Cafe, so I thought wed give it a shot. The waitress was friendly and prompt. The food we felt, was a bit overpriced for what it was. Good, just a tad overpriced. $70 after tip. Ive spent as much at a McCormick & Schmicks.

Stopped in for Sunday breakfast. Service was prompt. Didnt have a breakfast meme but had a breakfast special the "sportsman breakfast". Our came with scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon and toast. Had a enjoyable breakfast. Would go back again.

The staff all seem very friendly, and the atmosphere is great but the food is just ok, its not bad but not great and the $9.00 onion ring appetizer was literally (yes i counted them :p) 11 onion rings, they were good but for that price they should be.

Fun location, very "hopping". Unusual menu, but difficult for a vegetarian. My sandwich was delicious, but the ingredients were distributed very unevenly, with most of them on one half of the sandwich. The kettle chips were very salty.

I had a bowl of one of the five or six types of chili they have here for lunch a few times a week in the winter of 2015. It was very delicious, but not friendly to the waistline. Like cookies, chili is a sometimes food, children!

Had an omelet, specifically the keys special with turkey and broccoli and it was perfect! Tasty, the turkey was home made roasted turkey and the omelet was cooked perfectly! They even give you home made jelly for the toast.

My favorite place downtown Minneapolis. Relaxed atmosphere, close to Target Field. Edit: been travelling for weeks and this is the only place that has 4 mlb games in easy view. Or 1 most the time.

I visited the Loon back in 2007 while on business in Minneapolis. Had a great afternoon there, nice beers and great service. Shame I live in England otherwise it would be my local!!

Worst turkey burger I have ever had, the texture was chewy and gritty I didnt even eat half of it the texture too strange. Over priced in my opinion, way better options in the area.

This place could use some soap and hot water. The last time i went here my shoes were stuck to the sticky floor and the place has that old beer smell.
