Kind of a hot day but decided to wear blue jeans, so I slipped on my favorite pair, some comfy socks, fave shoes and headed on down to Schoolhouse Scoop. Hear me out; Im gonna bring you through Mordor before I take you back to the Shire. Walked in immediately felt happier from the colorful logo and decor, and the friendly staff. OverwHelmed by the number to amazing flavors to pick from, I settled on Superman and Playdough. I know, I know. After finding a pretty spot on the patio in front of the store, I dived in to my ice cream. It was... glorious. This is what the Lego Movie tastes like. After I finished, i grabbed my socks and put them back on. BACK ON. Finest ice cream in the area! Gourmet quality.

Pretty darn good ice cream. Full disclosure: Im lactose-intolerant, so I get the sorbet which I believe isnt house-made. That said, my ice-cream-loving but highly-discerning wife thinks highly of this place. We stop whenever were in Hastings. They have lots of fun flavors and they give you a mini bonus scoop (called "extra credit") on top of your regular scoop. If you want happiness in ice-cream form, Schoolhouse Scoop is the place for you in Hastings.

Schoolhouse Scoop is a creative ice cream shop. Located near the Green Mill it offers inside and outside seating. A boastful 24+ flavors, popcorn, malts, sundaes, and shakes are all on the menu as well as bottled water and soda. There are tee shirts available for those collectors as well. There are quite a few different challenges to try and dont forget to order something fun for your extra credit.

Great selection of rich and creamy icecreams. They also make shakes, sundaes, and have flavored popcorn. Their scoops are enormous and everyone who orders icecream gets "extra credit", which is a bite sized scoop of your flavor choice on the top.

Amy & Mike are AWESOME and their ice cream is amazing you have so many varieties to choose from that I can go there everyday and get something different. I LOVE Pirates Booty!!! Oh, and the popcorn is to die for and I HATE popcorn.

Very friendly staff. Atmosphere mediocre. Ice cream? Doesnt have that high quality you can find elsewhere. Not very CREAMY, and the flavors are a little "off". Sorry. :-( But again, helpful and kind workers!

A great place for old fashioned ice cream! Tons of flavors to choose from. Regular or Waffle cones available. I do believe they even have an ice cream eating contest! That Sunday is a monster !!!

Very friendly service. Love the "extra credit" concept. It would be nice if the back of the store featured outdoor seating in the summer (or umbrellas in front) as the afternoon sun gets crazy hot.
