I went to Smashburger with a friend today on a whim. I ordered the 1/3lb Classic Smashburger with a side of Smash Fries for a total of $7.25. I asked for water, instead of paying an additional $1.69 for a smash drink. The Classic Smash is classic because it has smash sauce on it. All in all, the burger itself was pretty decent. The bun, veggies, and burger were fine. Nothing to write home about. The smash sauce, though, was some watery mayonnaise mustard mixture that ran onto my fingers every time I took a bite!! While it wasnt bad, I suggest getting it on the side. The Smash Fries, on the other hand, were the worst bastardization of fancy fries I have experienced. These smash fries were having a serious identity crisis. Am I garbage or am I fancy? You are garbage, and Ill tell you why.. These fries were tossed in way too much super cheap olive oil. I like olive oil, except when it tastes like a tin can and dish soap. You might wonder why I can describe it like that. Its because I ate those fries 30+ minutes ago and am still tasting them! In the end, Id say the burger was the highlight of the experience. The sad part is, it tastes no better than a Culvers burger with a nice hike in price. Would I go again? No.

I gave this restaurant 3 tries over about 6 months, honestly it just seems like nobody really takes their job seriously here. I have friends that live in this area and I tend to drive up to visit. First time I ordered online, chose pick up, when I got to the restaurant it was past the order time however my food was not made. Second time, a month later, I instead just decided to order in the store. After ordering, they let me sit there for about 20 minutes serving countless other customers and totally ignoring me. I finally asked an employee why I hadnt been served even though I ordered long before these other customers even came in, and they made me show them my receipt even though I had literally just ordered in person! I got no apology. I got a half assed employee that looked annoyed and aggravated who handed me a coupon. 3rd time, about 6 months after the first, ordered online again, showed up on time, food and drink not ready, with maybe 3 customers in the store, employees just standing around. If you like disappointing service, cold food, and the occasional coupon for countless employee errors, then this place is right up your alley.

T5 and I ate at the Eden Prairie location 12/12 - built my own Smash, T had BBQ/Bacon Smash - both had the amazing Rosemary/Olive oil fries.... service was superb - food delivered fast, hot and fresh. JUICY burgers (our FAVES) and Raul came by the table to ensure all was well... it was. Smashburger is reminiscent of a 50s diner so if youre looking for ambience go somewhere else. If youre looking for courteous service and a great burger, fresh toppings and buns and OUTSIDE THE BOX/Bag fries - try SMASHBURGER. They also make incredible Haagen-dazs ice cream malts/shakes!

The layout of this place is a disaster. I had to wait in line right next to someones table while they were eating. Awkward for me and them. I dont like standing over people while they eat. Also, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and got some kind of garbage burger with a bunch of BBQ sauce and fried onions on it. When I asked about this after I brought it out they said that was the bacon cheeseburger. There is nothing special about these burgers that cant be found at Applebees. Try Snuffys or Burger Jones instead.

This is the first negative review Ive ever written. Every time we have gone to this Smash Burger and the other one in the area the service is beyond horrible! Theyre always forgetting something or making something wrong. In addition, they are unprofessional and look like they are always having a bad day. No smile, eye contact, or apology for giving me the incorrect order. The food is definitely not worth going there and enduring the service so, needless to say, my husband and I dont go here anymore.

My last visit to this restaurant was a disaster. The restaurant was filled with people on a busy Saturday evening. After waiting for food for at least 45 minutes (no food was coming out of the kitchen) we learned the cook had walked out. They had one cook working on a Saturday at dinner time ? Needless to say it was a nightmare. Even though they had nobody to cook they continued to take orders from new customers coming in. This restaurant is a joke

This place is fine. Some of my friends prefer it. I dont know what its special hook is, though Ive read up on the process of smash-frying burgers. If it makes a real difference in the patty, I dont know. On the other hand, their burgers are large and composed of lots of interesting ingredients. Their truffle fries are a musky delight, nearing the border of flavor explosion. The service was prompt and friendly and I found the prices reasonable.

I came here with a few friends from school, while Matt was at work. Alisha picked the place out and we all agreed. Little did I know we were going to have one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. The placed looked okay and the staff were nice. The plates of food were great with potions and the taste was exploding. Im for sure going to bring Matt here whenever we get the chance.

Greta place for a quick, but tasty burger. A real step above typical fast food. Staff is always friendly and the food gets to you quickly. My favorite thing is the options for fries (sweet potato, seasoned fries, etc.) and you can grab a beer with your burger. My only complaint is that standard around waiting for your to-go order can get awkward when the place is busy.

Lost my appetite, the lobby smells like the bathrooms, the floors are dirty like they rarely get cleaned. The bathrooms are too close to the tables, and you have to wait for your food too close to the tables. The workers do not seem friendly at all. The manager doesnt seem respected very much. Maybe affirmative action was a stupid idea. 0/5

Super friendly people working here. Clean place. I asked for no bun on my burger and they gave me a nice, huge piece of lettuce, and on a nice plate. One error with my burger, but the manager quickly fixed it and did so with a smile. This is my first time at this location but I love Smashburger, and go to other locations more closely to me.

Drove 10 miles to get there. Upon entering, we were told we couldnt be served because the grill had caught on fire. They asked for my name & number so the manager could call me the next day with a coupon. Its been almost a week now & still havent heard from them. Major inconvenience with no follow up or regard for the customer.

Love Smashburger. Ive gone a few times now and even though I just get a plain cheeseburger, its delicious. A bit greasy, but thats what its all about for me. The Smash fries are awesome as well. Make sure that you REALLY like rosemary before purchasing them though; they are drenched in oil and rosemary.
