Ive had better. Its not me its you. However you want to put it there are better options for a burger in the area. But please by all means go in and get your "BJ" fix and stay out of the burger joints I love. My wife and I went on a Saturday night around 7:00, the parking lot and patio were full but we were seated inside right away. The staff was fine but not overly impressive and this did not hit me until we were leaving and the gentlemen who was carrying stacks of dirty dishes was the most polite and friendly of the bunch. Although I thought this was odd it did not factor into my overall rating. Here is my story; I love really good burgers, maybe even more than Charles Barkley on SNL. However, this trip to BJ did not do it for me. This was the first burger I have not finished in years. Not because I was full but because I had lost my appetite and patience. The burger was falling apart on a soggy bun from the time I first picked it up. It did not hit me right away but not finishing a burger is probably fairly significant for me. Just a few weeks ago I had finished a "Wimpy Burger" and gigantic side of awesome fries at the Little Oven in St. Paul, I found that burger to be average, may even a little below. The reason I mention the Wimpy specifically is the fact that it is 10oz of beef and the meal is probably far too much for any one person to consume at one sitting but my love for burgers and how they are presented lead me to feel obligated. The quality of the burger at BJ was at best mediocre. Like I had already stated the bun was soggy. I ordered my burger pink, which I typically love but even the burger patty itself was mushy. The sides of cheese curds, onion rings and waffle fries were okay (albeit overpriced) but buy by no means stellar. The up-charge for the fry sauces was a joke, again it might have been okay if the quality was there. I have been married for 10 years now and god knows I could have used a good BJ experience. Unfortunately, I would have been better off staying home and taking care of my cravings myself. Wish I could share my other burger joints with the rest of you but they are getting so damn busy that I have a hard time getting in at times. I love the concept @ Burger Jones. The execution is a complete failure but people are showing up so they will be around for a couple of years. What Im saying is, if you want to visit BJ do it now because in my experience these types of operations do not last.

What can I say about a place the specializes in burgers and cant cook them to temp. My friend and I stopped by tonight to grab a quick bison burger. The bartender appeared to be in the weeds. (over wellemed with the amount of customers) Despite appearing a bit disheveled she took our order poured our drink and off she went. We sat for what seemed like twelve to fifteen minutes. Hard to say since Im not in the habit of checking the time after I place an order. At some point during that time the manager mad a quick appearance to fill our water glasses. Shortly after that our food arrived. We cut into our medium rare burger that we were splitting and discovered it was well done. Sitting quietly sipping my water we waited for the bartender or manager to make their rounds back to us. I guess I should have gotten up to go find them because it wasnt until my friend finished her half, and I had no water left that I decided they may not make it back to us. Finally the bartender came back out to see how it was and fill my water glass that had been empty for ten minutes. As I started to explain how our experience was she quickly ran off to get the manager. The manager was very polite and apologetic about our experience. She paid for our meal and offered some cards for a free beer on our next visit. So if they took care of me so well why the complaint? Thats easy you charge on average $10 a burger and cant get the temp right. It would be one thing if this had never happened to me before but the last time I was at Burger Jones my burger was over cooked. Ive given this place two chances. I wont give them a third.

The three of us, my wife, my daughter, and myself, ate here for Fathers Day, last month. We had a reservation. We were seated immediately, even though my reservation seemed to have gotten lost in their system. I am guessing that we were seated right away because they were not crowded at that moment. I shared a Hillbilly Hooch with my wife. The drink was wonderfully delicious! 16 ounces apiece was adequate. Sure, we each could have finished off 32 ounces - but then we would not have been able to legally drive, anywhere. The Coconut Mojito was also delicious. (I just had a taste). We shared a sea salt caramel shake, and I think that they may have accidentally put in too much sea salt. I had a lamb burger. It was delectable. It was the first time that I ever ate a lamb burger, and I was very impressed; I liked the strong seasoning. These are decently sized portions. We shared an appetizer - the Tri-Fry Tasting Tower. It is very tasty, and the three of us polished it off. It could become another fried staple at the Great Minnesota State Fair, if Burger Jones cares to be a vendor there. The service was fine. There is good parking. All the employees are very nice. Burger Jones is definitely a good, solid restaurant. Its menu stands out as innovative. Personally, I thought that some of the sayings on their shirts are too risqué for a family restaurant. Maybe, they could have two sets of shirts - one set that is more toned down and family friendly for the daytime, and another set of shirts that fits right in with the bar crowd on a Friday night. Anyway, we are definitely going back to Burger Jones.

We had a fantastic experience. I would say the food itself was fantastic, this is just a burger place but man what a burger. I created my own bison burger with tomato, mayo, cheese, and cheese curds. My boyfriend had the Santa Fe Chorizo burger and we split the fry sampler which includes the parmesan waffle fries, the maple bacon sweet potato fries, and the regular straight cut fries. I ordered my burger no pink and it wasnt dry at all, it was super juicy and delicious, which is hard to do with bison since its a leaner meat. The cheese curds were fantastic, state fair quality of ooey gooey deliciousness. The fries were all very good, but the maple bacon flavor did not come through on the sweet potato fries. The dipping sauces were great though, the seasoned sour cream was good and the beef gravy still makes my mouth water. We went on a friday night and were very glad we made a reservation, as we still had to wait about 15 minutes. Overall: Food - 5/5 Service - 4.5/5 (only down a bit since we had to wait even with reservations) Ambiance - 4.5/5 (it was freezing in there, even my bf who runs hot thought so, and it was very loud with music on and the TVs on, but its a burger place so not too big a deal) Price - 4/5 (we paid $55 total including tip, which is a bit high for a burger place but reasonable for the quality of the food and the $6 beer and $10 side of fries upped our total a bit, not to mention bison is a pricier meat)
