Husband and I went here with another couple to grab a quick drink after a U of M event. Not only are the pints of beer ridiculously over-priced, but when I gave the bartender more than enough cash for our tab, intending to leave all the change for her tip, she brought back the wrong amount of change. I intended for her to keep all of the change anyway, but when I pointed out that I had given her more cash than what she gave me change for - she lied and told me I hadnt. Im not sure if she thinks this is a good tactic to milk even more money out patrons, or if its the trick they pull on drunk college kids every night, but since Im neither an idiot nor unable to perform simple addition, it simply left me thinking she was a snotty b*tch, suspecting she over-charged me for the beers to begin with, and vowing to never go back. If youre in college and want to get drunk on the bottles of cheap beer they serve out of tubs while listening to crappy music - go for it. Otherwise, if you want a drink in the campus area - go over to Stadium Village (Stub & Herbs or Sallys) or head to the Kitty-Kat Club or Loring Pasta Bar in Dinkytown. Blarneys is a joke.

AWFUL FEMALE BARTENDER Went with my friends for a bday celebration. She overlooked my id not once but three times. Im 26. My id is from florida and im in law school here. I made a joke saying if you dont think i look 26 then my work out is working. She responded with "i reserve the right to refuse service to anyone". I was appauled and absolutely disrespected as were all my friends during their stay. I paid for everyones tab and left her zero tip becasue of her attitude. She then had her "manager" aka big giant fat bouncer escort me out. Absolute joke and immature child of a bartender and should be fired. DO NOT GO HERE THE DRINKS ARE OVER PRICED AND THIS BARTENDER IS AN IMMATURE 34 YEAR OLD PREMADONA WHO NEEDS A SERIOUS ATTITUDE CHECK.

I had gone to Blarneys a few times while in college, and my wife and I went back to remember "the good old days" when we used to go there on dates and before hockey games. The service was slow, and we were somewhat ignored. We tried to use the happenings coupon (buy one get one entree), and apparently sandwiches and burgers are not entrees. I left what I thought was an appropriate tip. A few weeks later I look at my credit statement, and what do you know, the waiter added more money then I left on to my credit card. The food was like re fried Perkins left overs. We will not be going back.

The blarneys nightlife scene is good. Although, the dj who was there last Friday 8/7/15 was incredibly rude! I left because of him! He doesnt take song requests or at least acknowledge what you say. He is an employee who needs to get the boot. He is horrible to customers, I have not only experienced him first hand but have heard from multiple people that he yelled at them. All I have to say is that he needs to update his Blarneys Playlist. I am sick of hearing Mehgan Trainors Bad Blood crap on a Friday night.

Never been here for food, though I must say this is usually the favorite bar out of the Library, Burrito Loco, and Blarneys itself for a wild night. Its actually my least favorite of the three because the music is so loud and its always overcrowded. If you are here on Halloween or New Years, forget it and go to one of the others because the queue will be the worst thing youve ever experienced, waiting outside in the cold Minnesota air.

"No Trump attire whatsoever". I can understand how people may have gotten into unnecessary altercations because one of them doesnt like Trump but to put a ban on the gear altogether is tacky. The rule could have been written "no political attire" and it would have been fine but singling out Trump gear is taking a political stance. Been to Blarney my entire college career at the U of M but it looks like thats coming to an end.

Been here more than a few times. Usually, before ten and have had a fine time. Food is better than bar food but, not ALL of it. If you look on the menu, take a chance on the Cherry Chipolte Quesadillas. Best thing I have eaten since Punch Pizza, months ago. The burgers are big and tasty. Tuesday Spaghetti is a good deal, no where close to the best but, still very good and a fantastic deal for the hungry!

Dinkytowns premier bar Thursday-Saturday nights during the school year. The place dies down during the summer. Blarneys offers regular bar food and relatively cheap beer. Also located conveniently near another Dinkytown staple, Mesa Pizza. If your looking to dance the bars musicis good for the most part, but other nights will make you want to make the one block trek down the street to The Library.

Great beer select, excellent burgers and pub food. Minutes from the hear of Minnesotas West Bank campus, it is a great place to come hang out before hockey games, football games and basketball games. As an added bonus, they offer a shuttle to sporting events, so you can drink responsibly. Definitely worth the trip, especially if youre in Dinkytown looking for a pre-game meal and a beer.

Fake drinks. I was curious as to why I couldnt taste alcohol. I figured that they just made it weak. Then, a little birdie came and told me that they watched them make my drink and it was all soda. The sole purpose of this place is to rip your wallet. Do yourself a favor and go to The Library instead. Better staff, and real drinks. Dont waste your time and money at Blarneys Pub.

The food wasnt really that great, and the service was horrible. There were two other small groups in the restaurant with us and it took FOREVER to get our order taken and to get our food. We were out on our lunch breaks from work and had to take a long lunch because it took so long. The seats and benches were also VERY sticky - it was really gross.

Always something going on. Very young crowd, early 20s. Cool that they have DJs during the week and believe me it gets packed on Wednesday nights. They have ladies night on Wednesdays too, ladies drink free 11-12. Weekends are unbearable because its shoulder to shoulder. Cant speak for food, never eat there.

Pretty much what you would expect in a college bar. If you go in after 11 pm expect to have a tough time moving around. Can take a while to get up to the bar to order at that time as well. Food is actually pretty solid if youre there during the daytime. I ordered a juicy Lucy and was pleasantly surprised.

This was my first time at the Blarney Pub and I ordered the Cherry Chipotle Pulled Pork Quesadilla and it was AMAZING!! The flavor was soooo good! I also got the cheese curds and they are the size of golf balls! Yummy! I definitely recommend this place!

Called at 11:50 pm because website said they are open until 2am. They took my order because it was before Midnight... minutes later Blarney called me back and said they cant make my order because grill is closing. Website isnt accurate.
