We decided to check out Margaritaville after going to Crayola experience. We arrived at 4:30 pm and were seated right away. At 5:15 we were asked if we wanted any drinks... receiving the 1 water 2 juices and a $17 subpar margarita (when we asked for a normal rail margarita) at 5:30. Not to mention that there was maybe 10-15 other people in the restaurant at this time so it was not overly busy. We placed our order at this time - my wife ordered the fish tacos and they were pretty good, I ordered the seafood mac and cheese and it was not good, my daughter ordered the mac and cheese and it was kraft mac and cheese, and finally my son ordered the shrimp and it was not bad. We received our food at 6:30. I didnt mention that my daughter is four and my son is six... so both kids were starting to get out of hand during the tail end of this experience, we were able to eat for 10 minutes before the meltdowns came making our experience completely unbearable. I am not one to complain often, and dont feel good about writing this, but I think this place could have some potential if they would just get some sort of management in that could get this place in shape. Hope to see it turn around as I love Mr. Buffett! From a long time parrot head and his parakeet children

Second time eating here since October 2016. First time food was great, waitstaff attentive. Yesterday was not a great experience, although very busy, waitstaff was over stretched. Drinks were serveved in two increments with a ten minute wait for non alcoholic beverages. There was no initiated interaction from the waitress other than when talking the basics like ordering and providing the check, she spoke only to the person she thought was paying the check. Appetizers came quickly but was eaten before we received plates or ketchup. It took 45 minutes for food to arrive and when it did the manager delivered it half cold the other half obviously over heated. Food was greasy and inedible, other than the coconut shrimp one person ordered. My daughter suggested complaining or withholding the tip, but in a teachable moment I chose not to with hold the tip as it was obvious it was not entirely the waitress fault. Because we were there for nearly nearly two hours I chose not to complain as I didnt want to spend anymore time there. But the big question I have is I had several children with me... what do you have to do to get a ballon animal? Its like Girl intentionally ignored us?

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had at MOA. The food was bland, we waited an excessive amount of time, it was overpriced and the place was empty - we should have taken a hint! When I asked to speak with the manager, the response time was unacceptable. He finally approached us as we were walking out of the the restaurant. I explained that my family frequently visits the mall and will NEVER dine or recommend this place to anyone. I have lived in the area my entire life and have been visiting the mall since the day it opened. (I knew he didnt care to hear that, but it was important that he knew I want just someone who was in the area for a short trip and wouldnt be returning anyway.) The managers response to me, "You should have said something sooner." He then proceeded to walk away from me, my family and friends. I have never been treated so poorly in a dining establishment at MOA before! For a relatively new restaurant, this is unacceptable. I am sad to see that yet another venue wont last long at MOA - due to the horrible service and terrible food. Save your time, sanity and hard earned money - I wish I had!!!

The restaurant was timely and we ended up with a good waitress. However, one of the wait staff was seen arguing in the back and then walking around the restaurant crying, and while we were sitting down eating many of the wait staff were extremely loud and unprofessional, often seen sitting in groups chatting amongst each other while at tables; as if tables need more than 1 server. One server in particular was actually shouting (not aggressively or with ill will, but shouting nonetheless) across the restaurant at other employees. The drinks are unreasonably priced for the quality, (the margaritas use a mix rather than limes, and at $10 each thats unreasonable) and the food was edible but you could tell it was warmed up. Overall I highly recommend choosing another restaurant where the waitstaff are professional. Our impression of the waitstaff was that it was like they let a bunch of highschool drop outs wait a restaurant for a night, and it was hard to enjoy ourselves after that environment had been established. We were really looking forward to coming and are disappointed that the restaurant was such a let down.

We stopped by after a few hours of being in the mall and walked by Margaritaville. Considering we dont get any sun (we live in northern MN) we felt like wed pretend we were in paradise, right??? Well sort of..we found ourselves being seated in a mediocre open floor space with some "light" island decor. Our waitress was a women named amber and she was so attentive to our needs that we barely noticed an hour flew by before we were finishing our meals. She connected with us and ended up chatting on how we met which brought back some fun memories and talked about what she wanted out of life. We wish her well! Our food did take a bit longer than expected but between the music videos and conversations with our waitress the time didnt matter much to us. The stilt pirate was pretty neat but the overall theme was lacking for us. It seemed steadily busy and we noticed that a lot of the staff didnt seem to be having fun or too engaging and there were a lot emotionless faces walking around. We only get to the mall a few times a year but I think between the good food and great server, we hope to come back again.

We arrived with a party of 4 adults 3 kids. They sat us rather quickly and the place was sparsely occupied for a Sunday night. Our server was cheerful and refilled our drinks attentively but must have been overstretched as it took maybe 20 minutes to take our food order after receiving our drinks. They had a balloon animal maker who made some great figures for the kids. That was where the pleasantries ended. Our food took over an hour, the chicken quesadilla was bland and under seasoned. The "signature" chicken strips were heavily coated in greasy batter. The cheeseburger in paradise tasted like a microwaved frozen hockey puck with fake smoke flavor Ala burger king, served on a dry crunchy bun. The loaded mashed potatoes were just plain potatoes. The Cuban tasted alright but mostly of mustard. The 8.99 kids Mac and cheese looked like Kraft, I didnt try it. The only decent food was the fries they were good. Then it took another 45+ minutes to get our bill after asking for it twice.

Service was terrible. While the lady who seated us was great, most of our dealings were with the waitress who did not even say hello. She bellowed out orders from "would you put your strollers over there in the stroller parking, to what is your order, what do you want...." everything was barked out with a scowl and unpleasantry to her voice. Not once did she smile or talk to us in a friendly manner even though we tried to continue with friendly smiles and manners. She was similar to most of the other customers as well. An elderly couple she was a little bit more tender towards (at least). We almost got up to leave. We stayed since our beverages had arrived. Ph___dra was her name and she warmed up a little after a possible manager arrived to work. I am sorry if she was working short or was having a bad day, but I really felt it was directed more at us than that. She appeared almost hostile towards us. The food was good. But overall it was a very negative experience.
