I used to work here until I ended up at the police station filing a report on one of the managers. Everything seems fine on the surface but you probably wouldnt want to eat here if you knew what it was like in the kitchen. The servers hardly ever wash their hands and when the manager isnt looking they pick food off peoples plates before bringing them out to the tables. When drinking glasses are dirty they use their shirts to wipe them off, then continue filling them up to be served. The food is not as fresh as you would think, and the managers and chefs are always out back smoking then rushing back in to work (without hand washing). I was checking out a guests credit card from the outdoor patio and went to the computer with the shortest line when the manager Marne yelled at me for the computer I was at (just for trying to give speedy service to the guest). When I tried to walk away because I didnt get paid enough to be yelled at for something so minuscule, Marne grabbed my shoulders and pulled me into the office where she kept yelling at me. She was pointing her finger at my face, so angry, so close to me I felt threatened and asked if she was going to hit me. This made her even more upset and as I tried to open the door to walk out of the office she stepped in front, blocking me, and pushed me again. Then the owner Jerry came in and Marne started lying to him saying I was swearing about her in front of tables, which was impossible because we were in back the entire time. I finally created distance and was able to run out and thats how I ended up at the police station crying. As owners of a business, mentors to young employees, they should not act like that and let their tempers get so out of control. Their mean and sometimes violent power and authority over the employees is the only reason you would get good service at this restaurant. Beware before you go here, it may seem beautiful on the surface, but it is dirty underneath.

Waitress Meredith did a truly great job. Food was good, portions very acceptable, very good presentation, prices/value. ..very acceptable... Management attitude POOR... young managers and hostess refused to let our party of six who just dropped $350 dining inside, move to an outside table at 9:00 when tables were becoming available by the minute, because they were reserved... ..NO, because they are on a wait. .. ..NO, because the servers are being sent home because they are on overtime... ..NO, because the patio is only for people who order dinner on the patio. ..NO, you are not allowed to only drink on the patio...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Pick the best line and run with it. We have been there numerous times and the owner seems to genuinely care, but has missed the boat on training these young managers on customer service. I strongly urged Lisa and the young male manager behind the bar to consider checking Google ţhe next day and to let Jerry the owner know this review was coming. The Chief Hostess as she was referred to by Lisa needs an orientation on customer service and handling unhappy patrons. We drove 40 miles and brought two couples from 55 miles away at our suggestion. If Jerry wants to reach me he can say so in a public response to this review and Ill be happy to call him and relate this whole story with more details than are appropriate here.

We had important customers visiting from Japan, and I wanted to try something that was a little bit off the beaten path. Born and raised in Wyandotte, I decided a nice "walking town" would be a refreshing change of pace for our visitors. When I arrived ahead of our guests, the staff welcomed me and worked with me to scout out a table with a nice view of the water and plenty of room. Service throughout the visit was top notch from the hostess at the door to the very nice gentleman who picked our table and checked in on our service (Jerry, I believe) on through to our server Nicole. From drinks to appetizers to dinner, not a single complaint from our entire party regarding service. On the contrary, it was very refreshing to have such attentive (but not overwhelming) service. We started off with some Oberon and the Calamari appetizer. Very good. Dinner was great the whole way around as well. I had the Pan Seared Sea Scallops that were on the "Catch of the Day" menu, others had the Mahi Mahi and Baked Italian Sausage Pasta. Generous portions left us either stuffed or carrying out leftovers. The price was fair, and the visit exceeded my expectations. Based on this visit, I would highly recommend checking them out if youve never been there or its been awhile since your last visit.

I went here on my mothers wedding. They had a variety of food to serve for our large group of 80 or so people. For me, I had their mostaccioli, creamed chicken, steamed vegetables, and red skinned potatoes. While I enjoyed everything about the meal, my one complaint would have to be that the mostaccioli tasted a little bland. We held the wedding ceremony in an enclosed seating area that overlooks a wide span of the Detroit River. I was disappointed that this area could have had a little more potential; while it looks nice for the most part, there were two fans that were in bad shape (one was hanging by its wires, another had a very loose lightbulb). At the inside seating area, there are multipe pictures relating to the city of Wyandotte and water-related activities. There is also a nice paint style, and the cleanliness overall is top-notch, but the bathrooms were slightly dirty with water spots all over the sink area, plus the bathroom had a shortage of paper towels in one container (the two containers inside are operated automatically but I could not get either of them to work). We had several waitresses serve our meals and help set up the buffet. They are very polite, which is shown in ways such as holding the door open for customers and wishing them well.

The waitstaff was very rude and unprofessional at my nieces baby shower. I would never go back to this restaurant. I was told that I was not allowed to cut the cake that I had made for my niece because they had a policy that it was a liability to allow me use sharp utensils! Of course this was said by the same waitress who after cutting and serving the cake proceeded to leave the sharp knife on the cake table the entire time my niece was opening her gifts! They were also rushing us out the door, the shower was booked until 4:00 and immediately after my niece was done opening her gifts ( which was at 3:00) they started taking the table cloths and the skirts off the tables while most of the quests were still there! This was very unprofessional! Afterward, I had learned they had booked a wedding at 6:00 so at my familys expense they were shorting us of our time left to enjoy this wonderful party. I felt the atmosphere was very nice however, I felt my family and I should have deserved more respect and much better service. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone because I feel no one deserves this kind of treatment!
