Never going back! We purchased a cake one week in advance of the event for our 4 year old daughters birthday party. A few days prior to the event we were called and notified that the order could not be fulfilled and a refund would be provided. As it turns out, when the cake was ordered, we gave the merchant a picture of the cake we wanted, and were provided a price. We then paid half of the cost of the cake and given a receipt. A few days after the cake was purchased, we were told that the price given was too low and that there was a discrepancy between the cashier who took our order and the bakery that makes the cake. The price was actually similar to a price we paid last year for a similar cake made by a different merchant (who wasn’t available again this year to make the cake). We politely told the merchant we had provided a picture of the cake explaining what we wanted, given a price, and paid half the price with a receipt in hand. The conversation ended with the impression that the cake would still be made as initially agreed upon. A few days before the birthday party, the owner of the business called us and told us that he could not fulfill the order and would issue us a refund. Instead of fulfilling a commitment they would rather lose a customer. The service was unprofessional, and the merchant didnt offer an apology.

Let me start off by saying that this bakery is the best bakery in Metro Detroit. Their cakes are the most amazing cakes weve had in our 20 years of living here, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We order our cakes from here all the time and always have such a pleasant experience. I have recommended this place to all of my family and friends and they love Sweet Dreams just as much as we do. It astonishes me to see bad reviews about this place. Knowing how great their services are, I refuse to believe that they could ever be unprofessional like the reviews say.

We absolutely love Sweet Dreams. I try to have a lot of meetings there because they have much better coffee than Starbucks (yech!), delicious pastries, lots of seating and a huge parking lot. Theyre conveniently located on Orchard Lake Road just southeast of Pontiac Trail. All of their cakes and pastries are kosher certified by Kosher Michigan. They also have delicious hot chocolate and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Its one of the only bakeries in town where you can order a kosher, pareve and gluten free birthday cake.

The middle eastern lady that works there is NASTY. She found out that we were only spending $200 or so and she got really mad that we got samples. Then she made up a story about how each sample is $1. Their cakes were not that impressive and the rude attitude of the middle eastern girl totally ruined any chance that they will EVER get my business. Im still waiting to hear from the company owner. REALLY BAD SERVICE. NOT WORTH TAKING CHANCES FOR YOUR WEDDING!

Beautiful and one-of-a-kind cakes! Your family and guests will be blown away by their creations! We had an Elsa cake done for my daughters 4th birthday, and needless to say, THE CAKE was the star of the party! The staff are helpful and accommodating, and always aim to please! Love this place, definitely ordering more cakes in the future!

They have a delicious mix of cookies and ice cream for a quick treat. The display of full-sized cakes is impressive. (I always wonder, though, how much food places like this throw away.) The people are nice, too. A couple times, an employee gave my young son a free cookie.

I go out of my way to pick up a Yule Log or birthday cake here for each holiday. Not only are the cakes delicious, but the service is great. This year my son received a mini cake for free as I purchased my Christmas Yule Log. Absolutely the best desserts in the area.

As far as the coffee, cookies and ice cream....Awesome. The cakes I have gotten are decadent for sure. Very friendly staff and I go out of my way sometimes to stop in. Free Wi-Fi and I have spent many hours here. Thank you!
