Our family loves the food...delicious Chinese cuisine. The only issue arises when it comes time to pay the bill or pick up a carry out order. The wait time is absolutely insane. 2 months ago we ordered carry out, were told it would be ready in 20 mins. Arrived as told...waited an additional 30 mins for the food, plus 10 mins to check out. Few days ago my hubby and I ate inside the restaurant. Our server was very sweet, the food was great & the cost was reasonable, as usual. Time to pay the bill...hahaha! Head up to the cashier, she takes the tab and debit card but sets both down. (Mind you, the debit card was left face up on the edge of the counter nearest other customers at the far end for the duration.) The cashier then proceeds to answer the phone...understandable, but then chatted with a waitress for a few before cashing out 3 different carry out orders, all called up after I had been in line. Yes, I did ask her if I could pay my tab several times to which she didnt acknowledge. The gentleman next to me waiting on his carry out also tried to get her attention. She finally runs the card, but sets it all down AGAIN to answer the phone, taking an order vs. giving it back to me. And Again, went to cash someone else out. So I politely, but loudly, asked if our meals were free since she clearly didnt want me to pay and sign? Seemingly confused by my comment, I pointed to my card. Apparently I annoyed her given that she set the pen and slip down rather hard on the counter and snapped that she was very busy. 15 minutes to pay and, so help me, that will be the last time we eat their food. Good it may be, but simply not worth the ridiculously long and fristrating wait every time.

This place took my card and swiped it multiple times. The first time, they said it was an error and showed me the receipt. The second time, they had their back turned to me and said it was another error, but didnt show me an error receipt. The third time, it went through and they gave a receipt. As I was signing the receipt, they tossed a peiece of paper in the trash. Couple days later, I look at my online bank statement and it shows two charges from them. I call to resolve the issue, they take my info and dont call back. I call again and they said to come back in a week if they dont refund it by then. I go there in a week and they still argue that they didnt charge me twice. I brought my receipt and my bank statement, they still refused. In short they stole from me and they were too stuburn to admit it. Its the matter of principle, if you can not be willing to see the truth in front of you, you should not be running a business.

Myself and my family have been to nearly all the Chinese restaurants in the Warren, Roseville, and a Sterling Heights. Kim Toa is right at the top of the list, in fact it is only one of two that we will go to. The other being House of Chan. We usually get Lo Main (thick noodles), and General Tso, or Sweet and Sour chicken, so I can only speak on what we eat. The food is really good, and the two main servers are very fast, very friendly, never had any issues with the food, or service. There was a time where you could go to nearly any Chinese restaurant and get really good food, unfortunately those times are long gone. Kim Toa is one of the restaurants that reminds me of the old school Chinese I used to get back in the 80s.

Went there for lunch today (Thursday). I was sat down at 12:13PM. I sat there waiting for someone to come take my order for 12 minutes and was forced to just get up and leave as I have a limited time for lunch. A very unfortunate experience and Im sure this doesnt happen all the time. But it is still a sign of poor awareness of the guests. This was my second and last time visiting Kim Toa. And honestly, even the first time I went there, the food tastes like it comes out of a can. I only went there because I was craving Chinese food and its the closest one to my office. Ill never be going there again. No matter how badly I crave Chinese food. Staff is pretty friendly towards the regulars.

Terrible and me and my family have gave them more chances than we should have ever had. They never remember white Rice if you order fried rice seperately so one is always missing rice. This time will be the last time I ever make an order. We made a $30+ order and they forgot multiple meals and like always the white rice. It took them over an hour to complete what they did of the order and we waited. This is the slowest Chinese Restaurant I have ever seen and they ALWAYS.. ALWAYS!!! forget something if not most everything and if you do call in to let them know that they forgot you will be waiting hours to get it finished. Terrible.

I could not even rate this restaurant it was absolutely terrible. I purchased a large order for family at my house after a funeral. I was so embarrassed the food was under cooked the pan fried noodles were like ramen noodles not cooked. The food was TERRIBLE. I contacted the Manager/Owner and all she could do for me was I will give you one lunch combo. I dont want to eat that nasty food again and besides I spent $65.00 at there restaurant and you want to give me a 7.00 meal. Keep it I will never eat there again and hope that sharing it here it will help others. Sincerely, Mary

Great food, great prices, great staff! Serving chinese & thai cuisine in a comfy atmosphere, Kim Toas is a hidden gem near ten mile and hoover, easy to miss but well worth the quick search. Quality ingredients and skilled cooking are par for the course here. The dishes feature fresh ripe vegetables, and quality meats. Not pale veggies, and tough, cheap meats loaded with MSG like many other chinese or thai restaurants feature! The staff is courteous even when they are busy, and take-out or dine in, the food is ready very fast! TL:DR eat here, be happy!

My husband and I have been going to Kim Toa Restaurant for at least 15 + years and always have had delicious Chinese Food there! Never have had any problems at all with the staff nor with the food! We have tried other Chinese Restaurants and there so far have been nothing in comparison! The Sweet and Sour Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Wonton Soup, have all tasted fantastic! Love eating there, very friendly management there, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere!

Based in 2 visits so far. Wonton soup is great (they actually give you fried noidles with it also.) Lo Mein is very good. Egg-rolls are good. Almond chicken was average tho. Way above average carry out chinese food quality, cheap prices, and big portions make this place best in class. I drive 16 minutes to pickup carry out here
