The other reviews were extremely high. But Im not sure as to why because i had an absolutely terrible experience. I will begin by the positive first: The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. You walk in and there is a waterfall to your right, booths to your left and an enclosed privacy room to your right. It is very lovely here. The negatives: There was no food. Literally. There were 3 bars of food and they were all practically empty, unless you count scraps. I dont. Our server did not acknowledge us and the only reason we had drinks was due to the host. Ive been a server before, so I tend to give some slack in that regard but it was terrible service nonetheless. Even though we were there nearly an hour there was very few food items being put out. The people to the booth to the right of us complained, so did the people caddy corner to us. What food there was, was cold and low quality. To top it all off when I received my bill, I couldnt make out what had made my meal for 2 adults and a 2 year old, 30 dollars all together. Then my waiter informed me you get charged for the seafood whether you eat it or not, on top of a toddler charge. The atmosphere was the only redeeming quality. This was my first and last time visiting, I came simply because of the high reviews, but frankly Im wondering if the workers did not write the positive reviews.

From the moment you walk into the door you are greeted with opulence and friendly demeanor. The water feature is lovely, as is the interior design. From the unassuming outside, you would never know that crossing over the threshold would transport you into a mystical garden for an edible adventure! The food is delicious and fresh, the selection is generous. All of your favorites and some surprising and delightful newcomers. My favorite is their garlic chicken and spicy crab salad sushi roll. The service is prompt and friendly and the seats are comfortable. When I get married, Im having my wedding reception here, and if they are still in business, my wake. You must go to Golden China Buffet! Canal Winchesters best kept secret by far.

This place is beautiful and the set up is amazing but the food was terrible it was cold, flavorless, hardly any thing on the buffet or had a weird after taste to it. Hardly ate anything disappointed dont even want to pay for such terrible food, for their prices you would expect better food this restaurant is below average i rate it 1 out of 5. I didnt want to pay and complain and they called the cops on us and their food is old they should be reported to the health department food. There food not being kept to the tempatures they should be and reading other reviews ive seen people complain about the food and bathrooms and then he tried to bring someone else into the issue

We were looking for something new in Chinese Buffet. I did a Google search for Chinese Buffet in central Ohio this past summer and up comes Golden China in Canal Winchester. There were many great reviews out there, so we decided to give them a try. So glad we did! Theres a great selection on the buffet, and the food is always fresh. On the weekend there is calamari, my husbands favorite. The décor and atmosphere is inviting. The employees and owners are very friendly, and service is great. Golden China has become our new favorite Chinese restaurant.

I have been going to this buffet since I can remember and it has always been my favorite. The atmosphere is very nice, decorated, and clean and the staff is very nice. They always keep the food hot and your drinks filled up. There is a lot of different types of food to choose from including sushi rolls.They also offer takeout and you can fill the box with whatever you want.

It was absolutely terrible me and my girlfriend got there ate cold food nothing fresh bathrooms so gross never seen anything that nasty in my life Ill never eat there again seen a nat fly out of my food and there was floating food type stuff in my drink almost got sick never ever again and I perfur everyone to not go to the one in canal winchester Grose

The staff is very considerate & are also attentive. My family has been going here for years. We live in Pickerington but we dont mind traveling for the quality of the food, the customer service & the cleanliness of the restaurant. Also, they are understanding & accommodating to those of us with little ones.

Order take out I called around 6 and went to pick it up and they hadnt even started my order that I asked to be finished before 7 due because Im on break at work didnt even get to eat my food hot. Im pissed off never will I go there again plus this didnt even give us forks

Poor selection of rubber they call chicken. Very bland and neutral. Kept my drink full and was very pretty. At 6:30 peak it should have been a lot fresher food. Few customers here probably explains it. Going to keep searching for a good Chinese buffet.

Been stopping by here for a few years. It is always clean and the staff are wonderful. Decent buffet options for a reasonable price. Nothing fancy but it is perfect for a casual good meal. Never had issues with the buffet being cold or empty.

Poor fish has like an inch of water in the foyer, which stinks terribly. Bathroom was gross, makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. My wife and I both feel like food poisoning the day after. Our server was great however lol.
