I just got a carry-out order from Cedar Garden... and I felt as if I was intruding. The staff were not friendly at all. Im not sure if this restaurant welcomes persons of my race. I almost left the establishment without receiving my meal... thats how uncomfortable it was. I love Lebanese food... I usually go to one of the many restaurants in Dearborn, Ikes on Van Dyke in Sterling Heights or Anitas on Woodward in Ferndale... but today I wanted to try a place closer to home as I am studying for a project. I regret my choice to try this establishment and I pray for their ignorance!

a friend recommended this restaurant and i couldnt be happier!! we went there last week with my mom she wanted to try it, we oredered the shish comb for two which came with a side of the best hommus i ever tasted and couple fatoush salads. the dressing was so good that i almost licked the plate. the server was very helpful, he helped us with his knowledge of the food , very friendly and cuteeee!! too bad he was married.lol. make sure you ask for the garlic sauce its awesome. and we ended the meal on a sweet note with homemade rice pudding with cinnamon and pistachio . yummy!!

I honestly have no idea about these people discussing poor hygiene and weird things in the food. Thats pretty unnerving but Ive been going here for years and can report that its the best Middle Eastern food Ive ever had. Ive never gotten sick from the food or found anything weird. I usually get the shawarma, lamb and hummus or Caesar salad (best Caesar Ive ever had) with a mango smoothie. Very generous portions at a great price -- best of all, generous portions of good food. Waitstaff is usually brusque. Its a little annoying, but youre there for the food.

One of my favorite restaurants! Food has always been great and Ive never had a problem with the service (and Im not of middle eastern decent so no proof of them not being open to other races). As for BBAs comment about the cleaning, Ive worked in several "nice" restaurants and honestly that is NOTHING lol. For example, Ive seen an employee bathroom right by a kitchen overflow during business hours and cooking continued. Gross things happen in restaurants, if you are concerned about it then do not eat out.

Ive been eating here for years. Ever since I was a little kid. This is hands down THE best middle eastern food Ive ever had in my life. You cannot find better hummus than at this place. Occasionally, the service isnt the best, but they always make up for it with their amazing and decently priced food. Anyone who gives a bad rating to this place for the food is completely delusional.

I can not comment on the food, didnt stay long enough to try the food. We were seated & given plates for the table that looked old & dirty. Brought us water in dirty glasses. After that we got up to leave & on our way out I noticed everything is old & dirty. The carpeting looked like it needed to be replaced several years ago along with the worn & dated chairs for the tables.

We have been repeat dine-in and carry-out customers of Cedar Garden for many, many years. The food is always delicious and the customer service is always friendly and welcoming. Its always great when a business appreciates your business and is sure to let you know. We recommend Cedar Garden all the time. In fact, I just did so yesterday.

my family and i are regulars at cedar garden, we go there at least once a week. the prices are great and the food is great. we dont wanna move from saint claire shores so we stay close to the restaurant. all of the servers are great except for the petite one which i havent seen the past three times. maybe they got smart and fired her :)

(4/16/11) The food was mediocre, but the service stank. I finished my water before the main course came and didnt get a refill until I was finished with my food. My waiter was sitting in the back talking with his coworker the entire time. I wouldnt go back unless I had a coupon or a free meal. I would say avoid this Cedar Garden.

Was our first time here. Service was what you would get in your hometown diner where everyone knows your name, amazing! We ordered dinner for 2 combo. Food made to order and incredible. If you are in the area it is worth stopping in. Prices were good, better than most I have been to. It is our new Mediterranean Restaurant.

So disappointed. Completely messed up a simple carry out. No pita bread at all when asked for and was charged for extra. Wrong soup and extra sandwich I didnt order. They werent even busy. Was my favorite Mediterranean place, but wont be going back. A shame since food is good but not consistent lately

Oh how I wish this restaurant couldve moved with me. Anytime Im back in the St. Clair Shores area, I always stop in here to chat with the employees and grab a bite to eat. Very friendly, very good service. Fantastic food. Very reasonable prices. And the bread is second to none.

The manger Steve was so very rude to me I explain the menu price was that from there carry out menu was not the same as my total he told to leave and go somewhere else I will never go there again check your prices first wen calling in thx to Steve not a very good manger

Everytime we come back to visit family, we always make a habit of going to Cedar Garden. We cant get middle eastern food where we live now. Family owned. Food is always of high quality and delicious. We enjoy the lamb and chicken shawarma with hummus.

I boycott this place , they forgot my pita with my order of hummus ,chicken was dry , the worst shawarma ever .. I will travel to the Bucharest grill downtown to avoid further disappointment. .

Cedar Garden hasnt disappointed us yet. Granted 99% of the time we get the same thing (Greek fattoush with chicken Sharma), but its good everytime! Good service, good prices and great food.

I ordered a chicken shwarma pita, falafel and a small soft drink. My total was $17.00! Menu prices come to a total of $11. What is the other $6 for? A tip?! I will find another place to go.
