We eat at Rt. 62 2-4 times per week! Not because I am too lazy to cook, but because it is so damn good! RT 62 seems like family to us, and its amazing, every time we dine in, we end up striking up a conversation with other patrons over which items we like the best! RT 62 has been a wonderful addition to our small community, and they keep it real! Quality food at a price we can afford! I really do not think the word quality even begins to do it justice..try it for yourself...and enjoy the experience, I am sure you will become a fan just as my family has!

We had just discovered this place. Its small , but their flavor is large. I moved here from Texas where BBQ rules, this was a decent fill for the lack of that BBQ in Ohio. I had a cute little rack of ribs. Enjoyed them very much. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich, topped with slaw.... which I dont understand... but she loved it and ate it in one sitting. We usually have leftovers. Not today. We also shared their cheesy potatoes, and an order of fresh cut fries, which were wonderful. We will be back.

Small mom and pop shop. 5 table dining area with plenty of atmosphere. They take both cash and card. Servers were friendly enough and food was pretty good overall. Pulled pork portions were very generous, more than you could put on a bun. Both the cheesy potatoes and the macaroni salad were both hot and cold respectively. Sides and pork were all about as fresh as possible without having to wait for my mom to make them. Overall, a pretty good place for barbecue.

Pros: Route 62 was recommended as some of the best BBQ in the area. I was not disappointed. I have tried the ribs, pork, chicken and a few sides. The meats were great. Having putdoor seating is something I really like. They also did a great job catering a recent party. Cons: Living in Columbus this place is pretty far away. While the outdoor seating is nice this is a small place with limited seating. I also thought the sides were good but not great.

We had brisket and ribs plus beans and greens. The sauces were good...the meat needed them because of how dry it was... I would guess it had been sitting since early in the day. The beans were the highlight...smokey, saucy and soft. The greens were doused in too much vinegar. I prefer to add just a little to help cut the fat. It not worth a drive from Columbus (much better places in town), but if you are passing through stop for a bite.

Be sure to get in there early as once they sell out of something, its gone. Much better prices for the meal that other local BBQ places. They have a variety of sauces to try out. Hidden Stash sauce is good with a slow heat. Corn bread is a must. Has good unsweetened tea. If youre planning on staying, dont expect to be able to seat a large party as there are only a few seats indoor. There is outdoor seating.

This is hands down the best BBQ. Im rarely in the neighborhood but my husband heard through a friend this is the best place in and around the Columbus area. Understandably, if you get there at prime time there may be some items no longer available but take that as an opportunity to try something else on their menu. Got the pulled chicken, cheesy potatoes and slaw. Delicious!

The best ribs, turkey, chicken, pork, any practically anything else on their menu in greater Columbus. They only make a select amount of each menu item each day so if you get there too late they could be sold out already. All their sauces are made fresh in the restaurant so if you like some of them as much as I do, you can purchase a quart to take home with you.

There are five tables inside and several tables outside. They were out of quite a few things at 7. Meat was ok. Greens had an odd flavor. Cole slaw was tasteless. Portions were quite small for the price. Everything comes in Styrofoam containers. A lot of people were ordering wings. Maybe I should have as well.

This is a gem of a BBQ joint! No frills, barely any seating (best to go during nice weather so the outdoor seating is an option) it clearly caters to take-away. Brisket was terrific, great sauce, and epic mixed baked beans done right. Generous portions for completely reasonable price.

The pulled pork and short ribs and cheesy potatoes are terrific but the greens might be the best in the US. Ive had them up and down the Atlantic coast and these are ... dead on. A little hot and little spicy set these apart from any i have had. This might become your favorite dish.

Best BBQ place in town. Totally recommend it. All of their food is good. The only downside is that when you place a pick up order they wait until you get there to make it. Kind of beats the point of calling ahead. Staff is friendly the minute you walk through the door.

The upsides here were the smoked turkey, best Ive ever had, and the corn succotash. The pork was dry and not worth being on the same plate as the moist and delicious turkey. Very nice location in Johnstown with a big smoker outside so you know they are doing it right.

Ill never be a BBQ judge, but I know what I like. I make up excuses to go to Johnstown just so I can eat lunch here. My only issue: theyre closed on Mondays. Favs: pulled pork & cheesy mac salad, washed down w/ their sweet tea....all served with a smile.

Best barbecue Ive found in Ohio. You can smell the smoked meat as soon as you step out of your car. Smoked turkey has been perfect every time weve ordered. The sides are just as delicious. Food & service has been consistent the few years weve been coming.

Love the food here. Family raves about the beef brisket. Catered a graduation party with food from there. Dining room a bit small and dated but you do not go for barbecue for a fine dining experience. Locally owned. Good service and smiles.

Served on a paper plates or in styrofoam bowls, portions were way to small and very plain food. Not what you would expect from a supposedly 5 star restaurant! Fifteen very unsatisfied customers. Brisket should never be on a sandwich.

Tiny place serves up huge flavor! Best BBQ around - moist, tender, smoked perfectly. Generous portions too! We love their skillet corn and baked beans. The cheesy potatoes alone are worth the trip. Try it...youll love it too.

I have been here more times than I can count and it never disappoints. The food is spot-on tasty every time. The wait is short , the staff is always Pleasant and happy and the inside just has a comfortable atmosphere.

All the meats are awesome! Remember that they do run out in the evening, so, call ahead if you want something specific. A nice variety of side dishes to compliment BBQ. Absolutely amazing baked beans! Just go!

Excellent BBQ. brisket is my favorite main dish. great variety of sauces, sides are great, service is good. Small quaint place. My favorite BBQ. needs some better AC and fly control but beyond that is awesome.

Food is mediocre but Ive come across the owner multiple occasions and he has some very personal issues with anger and disrespecting people. Therefore, I will no longer be doing business with Route 62 BBQ.
