What a shame to watch a local tradition go to pot like this. Its not a diner menu anymore. They wont serve an egg white omelette. If you find the "back by popular demand" card, you can order off that, no meatless options there though. Your omelette will be so full it will be cold in the middle. What an absolute shame. I dont know what happened to this place, but its not a diner anymore, its not a restaurant, I dont know what it is. I certainly wont be going back. Honestly this makes me angry. How do you serve an omelette with the eggs so overdone theyve turned to rubber and got a brown crust throughout, but the inside of the omelette is still cold? There are plenty of diners in Portage, this one is on its way out.

If i could rate half a star, i would. This place seriously needs to CLEAN EVERYTHING! When my son and i went here we were warmly greeted with the putrid smell of spoiled grease traps! Coffe pots had a permanent thick film all over inside and out. Ordered bacon on the side and it was on my plate which our waitress should have remembered my stating the fact i have a food allergy to meat and animal bi products.... not a clean place but very nice people work here and dine.

As the name implies, Antique Kitchen isnt much to look at (inside or out)... BUT if youre in the area and wish you could get a legit home cooked breakfast.. do yourself a favor and stop in. The service was excellent.. my server was very attentive. FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL! Interior of the facility is charming.. I half expected Flo to walk out and insult me. ; )

My husband and I dine here frequently. The food is usually really good (once in a while we will get an "off" meal) and service usually pretty fast (again once in a while slow). Overall the best breakfast place in town,especially the Porky pig omlett. Prices are not too bad. The only suggestion I have is they need to remodel completely.

I have been here several different times. I like the pancakes, battered fish filets, and BLT sandwich. Also they make great shakes, which are very large. The prices are pretty reasonable for the portions. Overall, the Antique Kitchen is a cute, historical restaurant with great food and service.

I absolutely love the food! But last week I came in to get breakfast with my infant and a couple of my friends. She started to fuss and the waitress commented on my mothering skills twice! Once while I was eating them again when I was leaving... I will not be going back

Visiting Kalamazoo and want to avoid those all too familiar chain restaurants? The Antique Kitchen is old fashioned in a good way. Great breakfasts in generous portions. Good service. Nothing fancy but you get to hang out with the regulars.

A place where locals go for a hearty breakfast. The steak and eggs are are really fresh. Be sure to get your hash browns loaded! Located right around many shops but still has plenty of parking during peak shopping times.
