I go here on a consistent bases, its always a family place with decent food at a decent price. As far as food goes, every main course is good, burgers, chicken fillets, breakfast, lunch/dinner specials, etc... The salad bar is a fair one, sure it has salad but the fixings for it are lacking, last time I went to the salad bar it only had 2-3 dressings. At the salad bar the desserts are lacking in quality to, probably because its GFS stuff. Overall though the food is your average American fare, specials cant be beaten, proportions are good, and I would eat there over fast food given the choice. Service is excellent, never had a problem with being seated, putting in a order, or waiting for food/bill. Waitresses are nice and you usually know one of them if you live in Byron Center. Cleanliness is above par. Tables are cleaned constantly and nothing really jumps out at me as far as any complaints. Ambiance is that of your average family restaurant, decor is pleasant and minimal. You can carry on a conversation easily or be quiet and listen to the people right next to you. No background music which is wonderful. Overall I like this place, its a place that Ive been going to for years, since I was a little kid. It changed owners overtime but is consistently has good food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We had Matt and Mandi Palmbos with Byron Family Rest. cater our daughters wedding at the Scheltema Barn. We had the most delicious food and the greatest service imaginable! Matt Palmbos puts his all in to the details and ensuring that everything goes smooth. We did not have to concern ourselves with anything. We received numerous compliments during the wedding and after on how great the food was! You can tell that he has so much experience with weddings yet he made us feel very special! He deals meticulously with the every detail that was specific to our wedding!! His prices were very reasonable!! We highly recommend Byron Family Rest. to cater any event that you want great food, great service, and great prices!! Thank you so much, Byron Family Restaurant, for making our daughters wedding so special!!

We had breakfast at this place while waiting for the Tanger outlet mall to open on a Saturday morning. The place is bright and spacious, and the servers are courteous, attentive, and well organized. I think the servers may pool their tips, because every single one of them checked by the table, even though the place was as busy as you might expect on a Saturday morning. The menu had the breakfast items you would expect, and they came out from the kitchen quickly. The prices were quite reasonable. This place serves food all day long, and although we did not eat anything other than breakfast here, I noticed that there were eight homemade dessert options posted at the door. It would be worth exploring for a meal after we finish shopping, too.

Only been there once, and I had an omelette. It was good. But it was kind of in a roll form...which made me wonder if it was microwaved, or boiled, anyway, if it was , it was the best microwaved, or boiled omelette I ever had!!! I cant wait to try the rest of the menu.

Their beef barbecue is ground beef, pale in sweet relish water. Save yourself the disappointment ( do t expect bbq sauce, dont expect shredded meat - none of those).But at least this dish is sweet like dessert so... There u go.

Love this place! I go here religiously to meet up with family! Awesome food at great prices, also dessert is definitely something to save room for. If youre super hungry, the salad bar is worth a try! And Missy is awesome!
