Had the summer special the farmers hash which was really good. The fried potatoes were something out of the old world, mushrooms, small sliced sausage cut into moons, small cut fresh kale greens, cooked tomato, scrambled eggs on top with feta cheese, with seasoned greens as a side. Also tried the apple cinnamon pancakes with bacon and eggs, larger than life size pancake with apple slices cooked into the pancake with crunchy oats that give a unique texture and flavor, both good, thick bacon, and fluffy eggs to perfection. $2.79 for a small glass of milk they call a large and an additional charge for each milk refill is more than terrible, owners be advised give at least one free refill if your going to charge nearly $3 for a milk the size I pour for my small child, I am kinda embarrassed to be honest, glad the staff told me before hand or I would have been outraged. Will give a better review if you revise this minor detail, its your fortune to make the wrong or right way.

This morning, April 23rd, my 2 girlfriends, my kids and I came to eat breakfast at The Egg and I. As soon as we walk in the hostess looked at us and we watched her mouth "great". Thats incredibly rude, but we let it slide. Then our server Ocean, didnt even introduce herself. She walked up to our table and asked what we wanted to drink. We are all servers so we know the importance of saying your name, smiling, being sweet to your table. Not a single person in the restaurant was smiling. No one was polite. It was a horrible experience. The food was alright, we didnt have silverware when it came. We wouldnt even know our servers name if it wasnt on the receipt when we left. Wont be back.

My fiancee and I went to the Egg and I for breakfast, the food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. However, we had to wait 15 min before being seating, and then another 15 min in line waiting to pay. We didnt mind the wait when we first came in, but waiting in a long line after eating just to pay is ridiculous. I approached the owner of this inconvenience, plus the traffic jam the line was creating. Apparently he did not want to hear it, his only reply was that he had made his restaurant bigger....ummmm, well, guess what buddy? You need more registers! Or have the waitress ring up customers. In the end, expect good food and long waits.

...serving homestyle American breakfast & lunch standards... Standard where? Did your grandma ever offer to cook you a wild mushroom frittata or an asparagus omelette ? Maybe after she dropped you off at yoga on the way to get the beamer washed. We saw the menu and almost bolted out the door. But dont let it scare you, just order breakfast the way that you want it. Soft homemade biscuits, fluffy eggs, fresh everything, got our plates very fast. It was delicious and the service was excellent! Minus one star, 2 omelettes, 2 OJs, 1 coffee = $30

Every breakfast my family and I have ever had at The Egg & I has been exactly right and fresh and hot! Taylor and his family get it right, and they also make you feel welcome even when the line is out the door! The wait is hardly over 15 minutes when it is really busy; great location and plenty of parking. A must stop for breakfast when you visit Panama City Beach and they have very good guest service too, if you do not visit a restaurant for only the food!

What a wonderful breakfast spot. From the high quality ingredients to the high quality staff, this joint is spot on. The decor is inviting as if you were sitting down at mommas breakfast table. Although it is a franchised restaurant it is locally owned and operated, the owner was even out bussing tables, delivering food and drinks. If youre in Panama City Beach and looking for a family breakfast staple then look no further than The Egg &I!!!

Not sure if it was the just a fluke or what but today it took 30 minutes just to get our order in and by the time we got our food it was a total time of 50 minutes. We did have a larger group but there was hardly anyone else there when we got there. While waiting we observed two other tables that left before they received service. I have attended this place several times in the past and had decent service but today it was below decent.

Ive read the reviews and I have to say Im shocked at some of the things that are being said. Im a local and my wife and I eat there on a regular basis and the food is fantastic and the prices are great. I highly recommend this restaurant its very clean and a great place to bring your family. The food was great and service was speedy and attentive. I had the Wisconsin scramble with grits and toast and it was perfect. My boyfriend had eggs benedict and his was amazing. If you go, and you should, be sure to get the caramel crumble coffee (you have a choice of 4 kinds)-- it was delicious.

The food is good but the service it needs a lot of help thats why no ones in there. You can get good service when they finally show up 10 minutes later thats about fast theyll get to you. And then order what you can because they wont see you at for another ten more minutes

Awesome breakfast! Plenty of seating, friendly staff and good coffee, for house coffee. Everyone in our party got different meals, the Cambridge Omelet, Mediterranean Omelet, Bacon Avocado Skillet and a few others. Everything was awesome! Give it a shot!

Its like Waffle House, except the kitchen is in the back, they use real glasses, it takes forever, the food is terrible and it costs about double.. I think someone with zero cooking experience could make a better breakfast than these people... faster.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Had breakfast Burrito. Flavor was very good although eggs were not seasoned with salt. Also guacamole had no salt and had browned in some areas. Coffee was very good. Will come back and hopefully better next time.

The food was great I had the Bacon and Spinach Omelette. The specialty drink, Pineapple Tonic is delicious. The reason I didnt give it 5 stars is due to the food taking over 30 minutes to come out. Try it out if you arent on a time constraint.

We stopped on our way home from our beach vacation . it was very good and healthy. My pregnant wife absolutely loved all the veggies she could add to her omelette. The kids even enjoyed creating their own omelette too . will visit again.
