Im not sure what other reviewers are referring to when they say the food was great, its their go to restaurant, etc. Ours was horrible. I ordered the orange chicken and the rice was dry. My chicken was the same as the chicken you get at cheap buffet restaurants. The broccoli was still crunchy. My dad ordered the almond boneless chicken. The batter didnt look like batter, it looked more like pastry dough or something similar wrapped around the chicken breast. The chicken breast was similar to GFS style middle school cafeteria chicken. His rice was also dry. The egg rolls were okay. The spring rolls were dry, had hardly anything in them, and cheap. I think the ones you throw in the microwave that you find in the freezer section at aldi are better. You probably think Im being overly critical and mean just to be mean, but Im not trying to be mean. Im just being honest. This is the worst meal Ive had in a long time and it was very disappointing.

I love good Chinese Food, and was happy we had our own Chines takeout. But, the food is pretty poor at China Garden. Ive ordered several different chicken dishes. All had the same unrecognizable as chicken (mystery meat) covered in a thick red pasty sauce. Spicy or not there never was any difference. The La Choy supermarket stuff is better. The mi fun noodles had kind of dish rag taste to them. And, the won ton soup dumplings are tough and yellow with a nasty dark center. The chop shop take out accross the street, while nothing to brag about is much better. So, we are still making the drive into Okemos/Haslett for some decent chinese food.

We ordered veggie soup and veggie fried rice. The rice had plenty of veggies, but was bland. The soup, all they did was boil water, put some veggies in it, and put it into a container. Hot water and veggies. No seasoning. Gross place.

Perfect spot for Chinese food on the run. Service is excellent, staff is friendly, and even large orders are prepared in no time flat. Theres a large selection to choose from, but I highly recommend trying the General Tso Chicken.

Great food great place Absolute best take out Chinese food in the entire area. Favorite is the Happy Family dish. Has everything, seafood, beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, crab, veggies. Crab rangoons killer. Great food great place.

This place is an insult to both China and gardens. The best thing about this restaurant is that theres a different restaurant right next to it, so when the food is completely inedible you can get something to eat next door.

I usually order the fried rice with shrimp. Flavorful but on the downside there are peas added to it. On the upside they are open on Christmas day. Perry is fortunate to have a number of restaurants to chose from.

The food there is great! I eat there every couple days. I travel almost 30 miles round trip food this food. I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD TIME HERE. THE FOODS IS AMAZING! Thank you for being there for us real foodies!

The orange chicken is supposed to be spicy but my orange chicken was very sweet with no spiciness at all rice was kinda hard and had way to many onions in the rice also.
