Never been to another a&w like it! Consistently good food, fast service, always packaged up in a nice neat bag. The food is excellent. We eat there frequently (at least a few times a week as a business) and its always a solid choice. 5 star * to the jack leg who posted the review saying -"An incredibly prejudice establishment. Wouldnt recommend supporting such a discriminatory business.".... Ignore and completely discard this review. Surely this is based on something personal. I can assure everybody that this is in fact a great restaurant with good people!

wonderful chili dogs and not super expensive. Great onion rings that are handmade there and delicious... the root beer was and it wonderful. Its hard to get over that way because they close in the late fall and all winter we look forward to the spring and summer when they open up again and be sure to make the trips count for all who are interested.... YUMMY

Good food. Nice waitress. However I needed pepper and napkins, boy we had to remind her again. My food almost got cold. I think these young girls should keep a few in their aprons. Oh and save your ones for a $6 change. Would tip you more. Most wont give waitress the $5. However maybe 3$ instead of the $1 you gave. #loveA&W

Drive-ins are rare nowadays and this one is in a perfect spot. The back deck is a beautiful place to enjoy your Root Beer Float if you decide not to eat in your car. The food is delicious and the servers are very friendly. If you havent tried A&W like this then you definitely need to add this to your summer to-do list!

Frosty mug of root beer on a hot day on the motorbike! This is the old fashioned A&W we remember growing up. Order from your shaded parking spot, Hang the tray on the window style. Not many of these left. I was on my Bike, but will go back in the cage (car) to relive the old tray on the window experience!

Root beer float was great after I had to find a cup and transfer it over. It was too full and the ice cream was halfway out of the cup. Was dripping all over me and my car that why I had to put it in a different cup. Food not as good as it used to be.

Best best one in the state. They keep to the traditions of this great restaurant. I always look forward to them opening every season. Their owner gives back to the community and is a staple in the Ortonville area.

Growing up in this town, this is still the best A&W around. Its not always fast but the food is always great and it has a homey feel to it. Id you dont like it, your McNasty burger is over at McDonalds.

Standard curbside fare. Burgers, fries, foot-long dogs and shakes. Root beer floats and the famous rootbeer. Not as good as I remember from childhood but still good.

This is a blast from the past a great place to take the kids to the drive-thru and then visit the nearby park. The root beer burgers and dogs are superb.
