[EDIT] Im changing this to a 5 star review, despite originally being a 1 star, because the owner personally reached out to us concerned with the situation and wanted to really listen to what happened. Its very refreshing to see an owner take that level of care in a business and take accountability for an issue. More importantly, she took this issue to heart and turned it into a teaching moment for her employees. I very much appreciate the concern and that shows, to me at least, a lot about her character. [ORIGINAL] We tried to get a smoothie at 2:45pm on a Friday, and were met with locked doors, despite there being customers in the restaurant and a hours sign on the door indicating that they close at 3:00pm. We called the restaurant to see what was going on and were told that they were closed. Upon asking if they close at 3:00pm (still ~2:45pm while calling) because we just wanted a smoothie, they back-peddled and said that theyre having kitchen issues, which of course, prevents you from using a blender that is visible from the front door, outside of the kitchen, alongside items to make the smoothie. The supervisor on the phone had a very inconvenienced tone that was very unprofessional. I understand not wanting to stay late, but a 3 minute smoothie-ask, 15 minutes before you close is not going to make you late. And being told that theyre closed, then changing their statement to say that they instead have kitchen issues (the first of which shouldnt be true considering your sign postage, and the latter being irrelevant), just left a very poor taste in my mouth. Nice attitude for a small town business.

Worst employers ever! Ive worked there for a year now, and Amy Harris the owner says that she believes in honesty and goodness hence the name of this restaurant. In reality she is the most fake and two faced person Ive ever met. Ive worked my whole life in restaurants in every position even in the kitchen. Ive never worked in such an environment where servers would be yelled at, disrespected, and talked about in the worst ways including the kitchen. Amy talks about how she has experience in the restaurant world, 20 years ago might I add, but has no clue how to run a restaurant or management or even payroll (by payroll I mean under pay u or overpay u, and if your under payed it takes weeks to get what your owed or if your over payed she will expect you to drop everything go to the bank pull out cash and give it to her). There is so much more to be said about the environment of this place, but Im sure google wouldnt have enough room for the essay it would require. Just an FYI for any customer.. if your eggs come out how u dont like them Amy the owner will just tell you that you ordered them wrong and be very condensending about it. Also for anyone who wants to leave a review about this place...understand that Amy the owner WILL stalk you on Facebook and if she cant find you on Facebook she will google you and search you on any form till she finds who you are..so take that how youd like. Every employee there is hard working loving and deserve so much better then whats given to them. I warn everyone, dont work here.

Ive been to this restaurant several times and have always had great service and food every time. the only reason im posting a review is because of the review before mine and the reply the owner of this restaurant gave the reviewer(very unprofessional). Like ive said the experience i had was great, but im surprised the employees can handel working in the environment the owner makes for them. Ill explain, i came in monday july 3rd they were very busy, my server i cant remember her name but she had beautiful tattoos i had complemented her on them she suggested the club sandwich. My food took about twenty minutes a little long but as I said they were packed full. I sat at the bar watched the girls working, but you could clearly tell the barista was extremely flustered because the owner stepped in to help but created a jumbled mess asking customers who have already been taken care of multiple times if they needed to order, the list could go on. On another day while mist of talking to my server the owner came up to us interrupted myself and the server (you could tell the server was flustered by the interuption) just to ask how we new about the place. Which its okay to ask but her timeing was clearly rude. just today i came in just for a smoothie and yet again i saw the same thing as i had monday! The list could go on. I love supporting small new businesses, but I definitely believe the owner needs some understanding in management.

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times and have always really enjoyed to food and the service. However the past few times, I have witnessed the owner treating her staff in a VERY unprofessional and HORRIBLE manner. In short, my waitress was very pleasant and helpful but made a small mistake, something that would not bother me in the slightest. But the owner made a huge deal of yelling at the poor girl not even 5 feet from me. It was embarrassing for not only her, but for me (and probably the rest of the customers). I went back to try again, and this time my food came out not how I had wanted so I asked if they could stick it on the grill for a second longer, no big deal at all. The owner then comes out to yell at ME!! Telling me the way I ordered was wrong (in a very sassy and rude way might I add). She then proceeded to go in the back and audibly yell at my waitress (unnecessarily as she did nothing wrong). My father also experienced this terrible behavior his first time there when he ordered carryout. He was very close to turning back around and telling the owner that he no longer wanted the food due to her treatment of her employees. He has vowed to never go back there and support her and her actions, and I dont blame him. I have always enjoyed my experience there, but the owner has officially ruined it for me.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here one day on the way to an event. My first disappointment was the fact that they dont have standard coffee. They offered me a french press for $5. Ive never used a french press so its intimidating and not to mention $5 for a plain cup of coffee was a bit much so I passed on my morning coffee. I was excited for the banana chocolate chip pancakes so I may have had high expectations. After ordering them we waited quite a while even though the place wasnt busy which was ok if the food was going to be worth the wait. When our food came out I was shocked. For the price I expected top notch food prepared by someone with great culinary skills. My boyfriends omelet was made in a small 6" fry pan then just folded in half which seemed low in culinary skills and his potatoes were very under cooked (they looked raw) although he did find them tasty. The fruit cup on the side was sad, the fruit was dried up and aged. He isnt one to send food back so he ate. My pancakes however were a huge disappointment. They were under cooked meaning barely browned so with all that banana inside they were just mush. I sent my food back completely uninterested in finishing it. Come to think of it they didnt even have chocolate chips inside!! First impressions are everything so I wont be back.
