Well, I read the reviews on here and had mixed feelings about trying this place. The comments about the place being not much to look at are very true and the place smells like stale paint. Other than that, the food was really good. I had the almond chicken. Instead of the typical brown gravy they had a light tan sauce. It was different than the usual places I go to, but it was a good different. The fried rice is ok, but the egg roll was great. My only issue about the food was the portion. I had the dinner combo. Most places I go to stack two rows of almond chicken. I was sad to only find a bed of vegetables. I like to eat half and save the rest for later. Cant say Ill be able to do that today. There is a bonus though, they have lunch specials till 3 where a bunch of the more common meals are $5. At that price its a good deal. Dinner prices maybe not.

2 things.. the fried rice and hoonan chicken is pretty good.. although i would have liked a bit more chicken. Ive tried the crab rangoon.. it wasnt the best.. the shell part wasnt crispy they just didnt taste fresh.. the almond chicken is ok my son like it.. its just different than what Im use to having their gravy is lighter in color..the look of the restaurant itself is not nice.. and i usually dont go there alone seeing its in between a liquor store and beauty supply.. not so much the beauty supply that bothers people.. all in all its better if u go during lunch time great prices...

I dont trust the food there. Food dont look good. Establishment look dusty. They are only still around because the people who will eat there dont wanna drive any where else. I was tempted but my inner tuition said "nooooo" they dont even have a dumpster. Ugh

Very affordable Chinese food. I had to bump this review up to 4 stars just because of the amount of food compared to how much I paid. There are better Chinese restraunts in Pontiac, but none that carry your dollar as far.

If you are the type of person that is mostly influenced by appearances, Great Wall is not for you. If good food is your desire, Great Wall will fulfill that need.
