I have never written a review online before. After my experience here last night, I had to let other people know. The server was great, hence the one star. The hostess and manager were so immature and unprofessional, it really ruined the entire evening. The food was over cooked and flavorless- I wonder how many things they actually make as opposed to what they buy from Sysco or US Foods? I am sure they don’t make the blue cheese dressing, the lasagna, frozen salmon, the list could go on forever. The prices...for pasta?!? First of all, we had a reservation for 10 people which was made in advance. When making the reservation we stated that it would be for 7 adults and 3 kids...2 booster chairs and a highchair. When we walked in the hostess couldnt have been more clueless. She had no idea about the res. even after we had called twice, and then made us feel as if we were inconveniencing her because of the kids. We were seated next to a table that was dirty and remained dirty the whole entire time we were there. Then we tried to order a hamburger for the kids, which they dont offer. Oh, they have it on their lunch menu, but you cant have it for dinner. After the server agreed about the fact that it was so ridiculous, the manager came over and attempted to “help” us understand their “policy”. Andrea came over to the table and said, “so is this the hamburger guy!?!” so loudly it was almost comical. It was as if she was trying to draw attention to me and herself from everyone in the restaurant. It felt like a circus routine. She was the ring master and the star of the show. She then proceeds to explain to me they “can’t” do it because after lunch they break everything down and it’s put all the way in the back of the walk-in. So, “they can’t even get to it.” How big is there walk-in? They also break down the “flattop” grill after lunch. As if they couldn’t cook a burger in a sauté pan. “Welcome to the best in hospitality…” as it says at the top of their website, is that a joke? I own several restaurants in NYC. It is almost always disappointing eating outside of the city. I know it may come off as a bit arrogant, but I say that because the level of competition is so fierce that if you even suck a little bit, you close. Hospitality is king. If selling burgers at your restaurant at night is a bad idea to you…then have two menus. But don’t be cheap and have one menu where people can see you have burgers during lunch, but don’t want to offer them at dinner because you are trying to better than you are or because you are trying not to lower your nightly check average. Everyone gets it, you are not some genius. The server confirmed that she had that problem explaining it to other customers all the time. Shouldnt restaurants being bending over backwards to take of us in this economy? What burgers are too low class for dinner? Why is everyone in the place wearing shorts? The place is amatuer hour. I spoke to Andrea after the disappointing meal. I thought she might want to control the level of her voice when speaking to a customer, but she became defensive and later claimed to have a hearing problem. She said that she worked in “the best restaurant” in Monroe. Maybe that means a lot more to her than most people. Obviously, she already knows everything. If this place wasn’t in Monroe, it probably wouldn’t be open, that’s how bad it is. Spend your money elsewhere, I know I will

Me and my husband came to the restaurant April 1 it was a Saturday night around 750 they were a little busy we got greeted us sat at a table and then we sat there for almost 15 to 20 minutes before our server showed up to take our drink order. We were ready to order by time she got there so we ordered our food. My husband soup came out fairly quickly we got a basket of bread and then our appetizer came out shortly after we ordered the mozzarella we cut into it it was still frozen in the Center store server took it back and got us a fresh one then my sushi rolls came out and we waited a fairly long time for my husbands food to arrive is about 40 minutes after we had ordered our food before his came out I was done eating by then and he was no longer hungry I time it came out so we got boxes and Paid for our dinner. No manager ever came over to apologize for the issues we had. And Im top of it it was my birthday so not a great dining experience to celebrate my birthday I dont know when Ill be back

If I could give zero stars I really would. I no longer care for their "Sicilian" food, but discovered that their sushi is actually quite yummy. It was amazing every time I tried any kind, well got online, read the hours, they said sushi isnt open from 2pm till 4pm, fine. So called at noon to place a to go order, the lady was friendly and said let me check and see of the sushi part is open, then some douche awnsers, I ask the same question again, his response....no. So I said well when does it open?. Him "well the only gaurantee I can give is weekends". REALLY!!!!! IM SO ANNOYED, TAKE IT OFF THE FN MENU, OR REDO THE DANG THING AND PUT ONLY OPEN ON WEEKENDS. I have eaten at dolce during the day for lunch and got sushi as an app, so mabey u have to suffer eating the Italian food to get something good. No thanks, I will drive to toledo for sushi. Im sure the whole thing will be closed soon enuf anyway. Thanks for nothing sushi nante.

I was very disappointed in the food. We ordered to go and what we got was large portions of ick. The chicken parmigiana was very dry. The meat ravioli tasted as bad as it looked. Im pretty sure they were premade ravioli. They said it was made with beef and veal, but all I tasted was something like a frozen meatball that youd buy from the store. The hostess was very nice and I dont blame them nor the waiters/waitresses. Not that I can really rate that since I didnt dine in this time. But the food has really gone down the drain. I used to love it when I was younger. But I also got the cheese ravioli back then which is now no longer on the menu, but they serve sushi? I really hope they make a change to their food and how its made.

My husband and I recently visited Monroe and ate here on a Saturday night. I liked the atmosphere and how the bar was separated from the main seating area, that was a nice touch. We were in a booth and though seated very close to several large parties still felt secluded and were able to converse easily. My husband is allergic to wheat and after deciding to go for the sushi menu we were surprised and happy to find all of the gluten-free options marked! It made ordering much easier. We ordered a bunch of rolls which were not constructed well but very fresh. This is probably the best sushi you can get in a town of 20,000. Our server was nice enough but unfortunately didnt check in too often. We would probably eat here again.
