If price is no object the food was good but $10 for lunch plus a tip was a little much. The food at New China Buffet in Imlay City was just as good and lunch was under $7 bucks plus tip. Also went went there for dinner one night with friends about a week ago. I did not pay but got a peek at the bill. I think it was $68 for 5 of us to eat. A little over $13.50 each. Not a bad price for dinner but the menu was the same. No premium items like crab legs were added so why the higher price? I think the best bang for your buck is New China Buffet in Imlay City unless you have a problem with the short ride from Lapeer to Imlay City. New update 3-14-17. I found out that both places are owned by the same people and imlay city lunch now cost 8.99. How interesting. They told me that the higher price in lapeer was because it had the fresh sushi bar and the Mongolian BBQ. Then why the price change in imay city.

Great food and good variety, have been here a few times already. Its far better than the defunct buffet place near Walmart. They have 7 or 8 different sushi for lunch and their chicken (all kinds) were very good, not as hard or greasy as the old place. They also have hibachi grill for your own fried food style. @Ronald, the other place in Imlay City may be cheaper but you need to factor in about 20 miles and 30 minutes each way. If I had business in Imlay City, the other play may be worth visiting. But if I am in Lapeer, it is not worth the 1 hour round trip and $3.50 in gas to save $3 in lunch.

was just in there recently and had a great time, all the staff were super nice, friendly and had awesome choices of chicken dishes along with a nice amount of seafood items. The grill that they have in the back is also a great spot and every thing is cooked right in front of you a along with the with a very nice amounts of sauces, also very impressed with the amount of sushi that they have, very clean and fresh. Had a great time!!!!!

The food is o.k. but the waitress insisted we tipped her instantly. It was funny because a group of ladies were in the back ,really worked up about it. I had every intention of tipping but, I paid with a debit card and I was going to tip in cash. She stood right at the table demanding the tip. She was not going to let up about it, it was embarrassing. Will never go back

Reasonable prices and really good food. Lots of variety and they will make stir fry on demand. They will normally make other items including sushi on request as well if theyre not busy. Bacon wrapped crab, coconut shrimp and really good General Tao Chicken which wasnt too surprising but I was shocked by how good their wings and ribs were.

lots of options, good selection of Chinese along side American style buffet. Really tasty dishes at very fair priced. Seems no one who works there even attempts to learn or speak English which makes it a challenge to ask questions or complain. One of the best buffets Ive been to.

The food was Very Good! The personal grill in rear of restaurant is a very nice touch, to personalize your desired food taste. The service is Excellent and the restaurant is Very Clean! Prices Very Reasonable, and a Great Selection of Food!

Good selection of food, but fairy low quality. Everything my wife and I I tried was dried out from setting under the heat lamps even though we were there at prime time (5:30 pm) We dont have much desire to return any time soon.

Would have liked it to be a little bit cheaper for the buffet dinner but not too bad. Good choice if you like Chinese buffet. Weird layout but friendly staff and even has a mongolain style barbeque section as well.

Very modern and clean. The food is fresh and you constantly see cooks coming to either refill or change out trays for the buffet. The Buffet has a very wide assortment of foods, including a hibachi style grill.
