I had not been there before today. I got to the front. was not greeted by a hostess. but a girl wearing a maroon shirt. she had her back to us and acted like we were bothering her. she grabbed the menus took us pass the food bar to the back. the room had a foul Oder. tables had not been pre bussed. the waitress was quick and polite. took our order. we went and looked at the buffet. the gravy looked old. and I was scared to eat the food. now I have worked in restaurants since I was a teenager. I even open a few. so here some advice take it if you want. 1.) people first impression is important. 2.) people eat with there eyes 3.) it only takes one bad review or word of mouth. know I hope you keep an open mind. here are ways to fix your problems you can clean carpets , put up a hostess stand, clean windows and booths ledges. now for the food bar. keep the bar tidy and all the stuff rotated out. not have a girl yelling into a mic. looks tacky. stir and change food pans . sauces and soups should be changed every 30 minutes. the hostess should keep bathrooms tidy. clean pie cabinet out. hirer a bus boy.

the buffet was the steak and seafood buffet on a saturday , some of the food had a vinegar taster like someone had poured it in the food, some food tasted burnt, some food was over cooked and some under cooked, the steak was something for a child to eat, the pie and service i must say that was great, i would go back as there was more good than bad food, about to head there for breakfast in about a hour or so.. was clean and smelled nice as well.

Unfortunately i give them 2 stars because the food wasnt that good and both times Ive been here they had what seemed to be 2 meat options. Fried chicken or grilled chicken. The best thing on the bar was the salad i made. The workers were nice but a couple were a little annoying. They are working hard i know but the experience just wasnt super. The price was ok and the sweet tea was good.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I eat here at least once a week. The servers are friendly and competent, the food is very good (a much better, hotter and fresher buffet than Shoneys had). You do sometimes have to wait to be seated because the servers are also the hostesses and they are busy.

We ate the Steak and Seafood buffet on Saturday. Food was very good, steak was great. Buffet had steam spice shrimp, fried oysters, clam strips, fried catfish, fried and baked chicken, and lots of vegetables. Staff were friendly and service was great.

Some of the food looked like it had been out on the bar way to long. Pinto beans tasted like they had spilled vinegar in them. Beets also had a bad taste. Read other reviews.... carpets need to be cleaned. One good thing.... waitresses were very good!!

This was hands down the best Buffett Ive ever been too, fall off the bone tender meats home cooked goodness almost better than grandmas!! Staff was very friendly Im sad we live so far from here, but also relieved because id probably never cook again...

Family atmosphere, home cooking, good buffet, facility very clean, staff efficient and friendly. So glad we stopped in for dinner. Prices very reasonable..I consider this a big find worth sharing about. Tonya was a great server too. Two thumbs up.

I love the home cooking experience. My daughter and I go often on Sundays. She likes breakfast and I like lunch. We do the buffet since breakfast is 6:00-2:00 and lunch 11:00-4:00. Both of us enjoy!!

1:30pm and still mostly all old breakfast items. Waitress was great, food was not so good from buffet and onion rings were very very salty had to get ranch to dip them in just to counter act the salt.

A small, but pleasant, buffet. Ive only experienced their breakfast buffet, but very much enjoyed the food. The servers are very attentive and friendly. Youll also find some of the best coffee around!!

This is a former Shoneys that was bought by employees after the company went out of business. If you like Shoneys or Bobs Big Boy (remember that?) theyll take good care of you at Hometown.

Food quality is awful. Better food can be had at a vending machine. This is an old Shoneys and their menu and bar is a pitiful knock off of shoneys.
