On Friday, January 27th, I called this establishment and asked to make a reservation for a large group for a birthday dinner. I was put on hold for about 15 minutes until a manager could be found. I spoke with the manager and explained I was planning a surprise dinner for my husband and needed to make a reservation for approx. 25-30 people. He said this wouldnt be a problem since it would be a Wednesday night (Feb. 1). He handed me back over to the woman who answered the phone so she could set that up. I was told the reservation was made and that they would see us all on Wednesday. Yesterday Morning I called just to confirm my reservation, again I had to wait an extremely long time for a manager to be found, because they are the only ones that can apparently confirm a reservation. When the man got on the line, he informed me he did not have a reservation for our 30 people coming in tonight. I started to panic, but he told me again, it wouldnt be an issue. He asked what time, I told him 7:30pm. He rudely asked me if I was aware they closed at 9pm, and I told him I did not, but seeing as how the original time I made the reservation I had stated this time and no one said it would be an issue then, I already had 30 people who were planning for this time and couldnt change it now. He said okay, and he would see us all at 7:30pm tonight. Because I am a worrier, I had another from the group call about an hour later to confirm our reservation, she spoke with the same gentleman and he confirmed the reservation with her. At 7:40pm I arrived with my husband to surprise him with his large dinner party. To my dismay, I found our entire group waiting around after paying more than $15 for their meal, because no one had directed them to the banquet room we were told we would have. I spoke with the cashier who informed me that WE DID NOT have a reservation. I tried my best to calmly explain what I had previously already gone through, and that my reservation was already confirmed twice just hours ago. She offered up a small banquet room for us, which only sat 20 people, meaning there was not enough seating. After our guest had already paid for their meal and had been waiting, not only did we not have enough space for people to sit, but they did not have any plates available in the dining area for people to start eating. At this point I was furious. I asked the cashier to get a manager. She said she had already been looking for one to speak with me. About 10-15 minutes she brought over this manager, who was not at all empathetic to my situation, making me even more upset. She explained to me they do not take reservations. I asked then how have I made 3, 2 of them being today? She did not have an answer for me. I asked if they had a manager who was male and name started with a K as thats all I could remember from the morning. She told me yes, that is THE OWNER of that Golden Corral. She could not tell me why the owner would make a reservation for me, when they dont accept reservations at the time, and did not offer anything but a 4 person table crammed into the already small banquet room, next to a kitchen door that waiters kept walking in and out of. No ones meals were comped, no discounts, honestly not even a we are so sorry and wish we could make this up to you. All we received was attitude, like this was somehow our fault. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. We had 30 people that came to this restaurant for a good experience and received a horrible one, and it wasnt cheap. The food wasnt great. I know this group will probably never be back, and you can believe we will be sharing our experience with others around us.

God, if I could rate this negative stars I would. So I went there recently, later at night. I have visited once before, which was a completely polar experience to what I experienced this time. When me and my friend first went in, we were greeted by a nice fat 30$ check. So we get our drinks, and grabbed a seat. The first thing I immediately noticed was about 4 or 5 tables completely filled with garbage from people who had left, and not a waitress or bus boy in sight to clean them. So we went to grab our plates, which is wear the second problem was. They looked as if they hadnt been washed, EVER. Grease, grime and pizza sauce from what looked like the last TEN people who used them. After finally finding a clean plate, like 7 deep in the pile, we went to grab our food. The food I passed did not look fresh, looking like it had been cooked once this morning, and left out. So I got some popcorn shrimp, which was surprisingly decent, and I dont really have a problem with it. Then I got some sautéed mushrooms, which were literally whole mushrooms. They tasted as strong as if the employees went through the woods picking up random mushrooms off the ground. No other flavor but the pungent fungal taste, which was overpowering. Then I got the steak........I asked, what looked like the manager, for a medium well piece. Without looking closely he picked up a piece and plopped it on my plate. Upon returning to my seat to dig in, I dug into the steak to find what seemed to be like a recently deceased animal. More rare than when it was still walking. Completely red inside, finding gelatin like pieces I thought were actual body parts of the animal thrown in. It was stringy and not chewy, with a hint of leftover bone left in. After that sickening course, we moved on to desert. It consisted of marshmallows dipped in the chocolate fountain, and ice cream, which chocolate syrup. Both of which, I found solid bits in, which one should never find in ICE CREAM. And the chocolate turned to hard crunchy bits, 30 seconds out of the fountain. After that experience, I havent left the toilet. My food revisiting me in multiple ways. For 30$, and that kind of food, I will NEVER be returning. Honestly Golden Corral, get your stuff together, before you kill someone with that food.

Sad thing, I went to Golden Corral,..they Sent me a Birthday Coupon, So I Was Very disappointed, I tried the beef, with The Veggies, it was ok, So I walked over To the scalloped potatoes, I picked up The spoon and lifted it, Tilted it, To its Side and it slipped, Right off the spoon back into, The serving tray, It looked like someone, Just threw flour In it, And stirred it up, It was really Pastie and The tray stayed full, The whole Time, No one Tried any it was so disgusting, As I looked at the scalloped Potatoes, And looked up at one of the Workers, He was looking at me thinking I Was going to get a scoop of it, But I just Turn my nose up to it, And walked away So I went to try, The large shrimp, dipped it In some tartar sauce, Took a bite out of the shrimp, The shrimp taste like it was so overly cooked,.. So I tore the breading Off of it, And all I saw were tiny slithers of shrimp, So badly overcooked, And Greasy, I also tried, The okra, it was hard Like a rock, Could barely eat it, I had to Fish through it, To find the soft ones So, I went to try some dessert, I grabbed A. brownie, And I put ice cream, On top of it the brownie, Was hard like it had been sitting there for a long time, It Wasnt pleasing at all, So I got back up... And I tried, The cheese cake, And I got 3 Tiny pieces, And I added Cherry topping, On top of it, And I go to take a bite of the cheese cake, And spit it out fast,.. It was rubbery, it was dried up, To a point where it Bounced, When it hit the table, And on-looker, Saw this, It was so disgusting, That I got up and left, And thought wow... I Get a coupon, For a free dinner for my Birthday, And I wined up, Wishing I had Never went was this a bad, Day, for the Golden Corral,.. Or is this the usual thing... So, I give it a thumbs down,.. As Im sure That if the state walked in,.. There they Would have also given it a thumbs down,... They wouldnt have even , Thought about, The workers, Having a Bad day.
