Used to be good, demand will drive costs up and quality down - Ill start by saying this place was A1. 100% of the time. Now, its about a C- on a grade scale and thats only with the food quality. To break it down, Ive been a patron here for nearly 4 years, a member for over 2. From the time they opened they won awards for being The Best - now id love to see what channel 4 would say. Membership renewals have increased? (20 to 25) why.. ? For 3 dollars of a person its not even hitting 10% ... you have more or less members making your numbers lower? No, but i bet the food costs and other factors are now covered by offsetting your memership fees. - dont worry well cover those.. or I said I would at least. Until 2016. Gone once, will not return. Since the cold entees seem to be a common thing along with hardened fresh sushi - I cant deal with the lack of food standards as Ill use the word lack in a favor to not using none as being a manger in the ServeSafe industry, the logs on these standing food items is some literature id love to take a peak at. - from the bathrooms to the booths - Things are just falling apart and if you dont fix the damn backed up sink in the mens bathroom thats never worked for the last two years -- just close your doors. Its a health violation and just plain lazynesa to not even sustain a good upkeep of in house, then what is all the budget and expenses going to exactly. The booths feel like I picked up the cheapest self kit kitchen table tried to put it together by hand then expected it to function for an everyday used item. Anytime anyone sits down behind me in a booth Im afraid its going to fall over on me. - new ownership same problems - they boast of new management yet its all the same problems. Nothing new about it, other than the new employees theyve hired. Hope that wasnt your ploy to save money. - In the end, Im sure youll remain in business sure, you have the owners of the whole fish market behind you. Will you have a comeback to be a better or best sushi bar buffet like you used to be.. well thats an open ended question for you to strive to bring your standards back to where they used to be for the patrons who got you to where you are now. Hope to see you again soon, until I see results, Ill walk in, look around first and judge until I see improvement. Ill even contribute to renewing my membership just to help with costs. Hope to see a new change in this new year. - Jan 1, 2017

Initially I would be given at least 4 stars as I had never experienced a problem before. I had been at least a couple of times prior for which the food as well as the customer service were both nice. However the last time myself and a guest were there I assume we were there just as the dinner prices were to go into effect.Neither of us had a clue, we did notice that signs were placed on certain items indicating dinner, we were under the impression that these were just additional items being added, one of which happened to have been crab legs...I dont know if the staff is sitting around viewing each customer on film but myself and my guest were still eating on difference was we added crab legs to our plate. From out of nowhere a man appeared before us for which he explained about the difference in pricing and since we now added crab legs we would have to pay the difference in pricing if we were going to stay(This wouldnt have been a problem) he went a step further to say keep the crab legs and still pay the lunch price...No such animal, some other women comes over to the table and literally made us feel as if we were stealing and had no right to be there, she yelled at him was VERY disrespectful to us and literally had the nerve to hold her hand out for us to put the vtsb legs that were on our plate and the ones we cracked and proceeded to eat in her hand. We were never so humiliated in all our lives. Needless to say we WONT be returning...Residual business is continual business...keep that caviat in mind going forward!!

It is going going going down hill. I ate there tonight for the last time. It used to be a great restaurant when Ricky & Cindy (the owners) were there all the time running it. I havent seen them in over a year since they opened their other location by Farmington hills. The place is filthy, run down & the quality of food is terrible. Ricky used to joke with us about other buffets with crab legs being "all u can wait" & not what it is suppose to be, all u want to eat. Now, they put the crab legs on a timer of when the can be brought out & thats all you see now is people waiting on crab legs. Tonight we got there late. (9PM) We were told we had to wait 10 minutes for crab legs. No big deal I guess cuz there wasnt anyone requesting them I guess. All the other food was not great either. The waitress didnt pick our plates up hardly & when she did it was only when she refilled water. I had a Pepsi, she didnt put ice in it & then she just pretty much stood over us. About 9:40 she was sent over to tell us to get anything else we wanted now bcuz they were closing. I was still eating. 5 minutes later another women came over & said we are closed now. We are taking the food down hurry get what you want. I was irritated & just told my husband lets go. $80 for 3 people & I got rushed out. TERRIBLE!! There is only a couple good waitresses that are left anyway so whatever. I dont see it being open for many more years when people can just go to most any buffet & get crab legs for a lot cheaper.

I have been going here for the past two or so years. Its a 40 minute drive from Grosse Pointe for me but It is the only Asian buffet that I will go to. The selection and quality of sushi and sashimi and far superior to any buffet Ive been to and the employees are constantly making rolls and putting out new plates. Probably the most underrated part of the buffet is the soup bar. I usually have duck or beef Vietnamese Pho and it has among the most intense and amazing flavors of any food Ive ever eaten anywhere. I only go on Fridays when they have their ginger lobster on the buffet. Its good but only half of the pieces are edible. The other half consists of snow crab knuckles which are for the most part inedible. The placement of hunks of crab cartilage in the lobster is not a fluke as it is served this way every time Ive been there. Snow crab knuckles are NOT lobster so they shouldnt be added to the lobster. Its obviously done to reduce lobster consumption but that is accomplished by servers rationing out the lobster on your plate by the spoonful. I would appreciate it if Fuji showed some integrity on this and left the crab knuckles out of the ginger lobster in the future. Fuji thinks its a neat little trick but in the end the restaurant comes across as dishonest. The service is usually very pleasant and the overall selection and quality of items, particularly fish and seafood is very good.
