The best part about this place is the people. They are quite friendly. The food however isnt great. The quality was fine, it didnt make my family sick like KFC can sometimes, but its nothing to write home about. The chicken is less greasy than KFC, but KFCs chicken tastes better. Some of the pieces actually tasted a bit like fish, so they fry their chicken in the same oil they fry their fish and seafood in. Their rolls are literally store bought heat and serve rolls. The mashed potatoes taste like the boxed fake mashed potato flakes, and their gravy tastes like it came straight from a can. Their cole slaw was really bland. It was like veggies mixed with mayo and nothing else. There was no sweetness, no tang, no spice. Their parking lot also left much to be desired; very cramped and hard to maneuver and very few parking spaces. And the restaurant itself is stuck on the end of a strip mall, with no entrance on that end, so you have to weave thru all the strip malls traffic just to get there in the first place. I wouldnt refuse to eat there again, but I certainly wouldnt go out of my way to go there.

Chicken was ok but not 5 star worthy. The first piece was actually very dry and seemed to have been in the warmer for a while. I had to use bbq sauce to finish it. The 2nd piece was better maybe because it was dark meat. The catfish was amazing though and so was the Cole slaw. The best Cole slaw Ive had from a restaurant. I rated it low due to it being a chicken place that didnt really deliver the flavor like I thought they should for a place known for its fried chicken. My actual rating is 3.5. They have something going here just need to fix the white meat being so dry.

Love this place. I have been coming in for years and the staff is always helpful and over the top polite. Chicken is always good and hot, fries are fresh and delivered to my table quickly and accurately. My wife substitutes green beans for the fries for no extra charge and enjoys them. Would highly recommend this place for Chicken, fish and various other fried treats...

Cousins is run by the nicest people you will ever meet. I work nearby and I go quite often. They know my order as soon as I walk in and sometimes have it done before its even my turn to order. Frank and Brenda are the best!They treat you well and often know people by name. Good location, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a visit.

Hands down the best chicken I have ever had. Its so juicy and flavorful. Once you have had cousins chicken you will never enjoy chicken from anywhere else because it wont be able to compare. The amount of food you get for the price you pay is a deal. Other places charge so much more for a chicken tender and fries meal and it doesnt even taste half as good as cousins.

I know their known for their chicken, but I also ordered the fish-chicken combo dinner and I have to tell you the fish is even better...I also loved the coleslaw...great value for the money and received food very quickly....I just wish the ambience was better, but its like a fast food restaurant.

Without a doubt the best chicken place in Grand Rapids. Great family atmosphere and the service is top notch. Food is awesome and they almost always throw in a generous extra piece of chicken. Every visit is so amazing I always want to go back within a day after walking out.

Food was exceptional! Service was great and fast. Restaurant was shockingly clean... They know how to make fried fish and chicken better than anyone else in GR, best part is that its affordable. I would recommend this place to anyone even if it is a drive to get there.

The chicken is good, maybe the best Ive tried in Grand Rapids, and the sides are decent too. Nice thing is that you feel like you getting your monies worth here. Call ahead to speed up your visit.
