Ordered a reuben with a side of coleslaw, this really confused my waitress as she said they were out of "corned beef hash". Had to explain the difference between the two. Also had explain the menu to her because she didnt know what the sandwiches came with. Then later, the other waitress comes and drops off my boyfriends food, while mine was still not ready. Why not wait and bring them out together? I can see the food window, and when my sandwich comes up, they walked past it multiple times without running it. There were only 3 tables in there including us with 2 servers. As a fellow waitress, I know the least she could have done is at refill my coffee one time and cash me out instead of us waiting with our coats on as she chatted with the kitchen staff. Food was alright, nothing special. Ill try it again, but maybe request a waitress that isnt so dizzy.

Came on an early Friday morning to have breakfast with a friend. The waitress asked us to move to a bigger table, because the restaurant was not too busy. We ordered a few dishes- the crab cakes with Mac & Cheese, the Monster Skillet, and it came with blueberry bread and Italian Wedding Soup. The meal price was not bad, around $22. The crab cakes were overly fried, but the mac & cheese was delicious. The skillet was the best part, very filling. The service, however, was just ok. I had read on Yelp that they will grill their house made bread, but our waitress did not. In fact, she only offered me wheat or white toast, and I had to ask for house bread. Would return for a quick diner meal, but was not impressed by the curt attitude.

I almost dont want to review this place because its such a hidden gem. Their breakfast is the best. On par with Toast and Cafe Muse in my opinion. The decor is kitchy and delightfully tacky with roosters and gingham. Their food though is so wonderful. I dont have to hesitate to order the daily specials (most places I wont because "special" just means they dont have practice making it). You should order one of their quick breads to tide you over while youre waiting for your meal. Theyre tiny little loafs and they are delicious. The two things that I dislike about about this place are: limited close parking, and limited seating (really limited seating).

Mom n pop style diner that does play up the 1960s vintage feel inside. Theres a limited number of seats and we usually snag a couple of stools at the counter. They have a huge menu but we stick to the basics -- pancakes or omelettes. The food is decent, sometimes it takes longer to get your food. The pies look amazing but not as tasty as they look. The coffee is really bland and they could use something bolder/step up than their current roast blend.

Incredibly tasty food. We went on Saturday. Service was warm, efficient & fast . The Chicken and Black Bean Omelet was awesome. My daughters Lemon Raspberry French Toast was divine The delightful combination of fruit flavors and fluffy texture was indescribable. She also had a large juice, ham streak and hash browns. Still quite affordable. If you get a chance to eat at the Hilton Road Cafe, go for it!

I am temporarily staying in Royal Oak, and have found this to be a great option for dining. I visited a week straight never having the samething thanks to their daily specials which consist of about 10 different menu options to compliment the standard menu. All was great, but the meatloaf parm was the best on Wednesday. The service was always quick and personable.

Wonderful people, wonderful food. Breakfasts are the best with homemade everything. Theres no place I go where I feel more welcomed or at home. Only limitation is that it is a small place, so if coming on a weekend morning, there may be a wait involved, but well worth it. Several daily specials and a large menu selection. A great, hidden jewel!

From a far you wouldnt think much about this place but you MUST give it a try the food is well thought out with fresh ingredients. The Lobster Benedict is delicious and not overpowering. They always have a huge variety of french toast that are to die for. Make sure your ready to wait no matter what time of day you go but its worth it for sure!

If I could give 6 stars I would, Ive never had a bad experience here. The staff is always delightful and polite, the food is to die for (most important part in my eyes, meaning my stomach) and its a smaller diner. Who doesnt love diners? Ive only actually been here for breakfast, but its one of the best in the Metro area. Hope this helped!

Horrible service that felt the need to scoff at us for asking to split our bill between two cards. Asked for egg white and light cheese and was given the opposite even though I reconfirmed twice. Made a mess by placing my order on its side. Honestly, we will never be back.

Love this little joint. I almost dont want to tell you about it only because there is such limited amount of space in the place. They have amazing Greek dressing and homemade soups every day. DONT FORGET DESSERT!!!! Probably the best part of HRC :)

The cozy atmosphere and awesome food keep me coming back again and again. The daily specials are a particular favorite. They are creative, unique and offer a delicious way to avoid the "usual" standards. My wife and I love this place. You will too!

Pricey for the food you get. The cook was mis-treating our waitress the last time we were there and she had to keep apologizing for our food not being right and his comments coming from the back. Super small in there and it doesnt feel clean.

Friendly people who are accommodating to any order. The potions are large here and the fresh baked breads are the way to go. I love the griddles they have a ton of toppings so that you get flavor with each bite. I recommend the cowboy.

Excellent breakfast!! Though their regular menu has excellent options (Hilton Road Omelette) I highly recommend visiting on the weekend and trying something from their specials menu. There is always something new and unique to try!

Good breakfast spot. Very small inside with pretty limited seating. The menu is big and the food was pretty good. Nothing to note that sets it above any other breakfast place. I had the vegetable skillet.

Wonderful little diner with amazing food. The specials are always too good to pass up so Im not sure Ive ever even tried anything off of their regular menu. This is our go to place for breakfast.

Everything is made from scratch at this great little cafe. Wonderful bread and pie, and the service is always friendly. They have lots of daily specials and soups, I visit this gem frequently.

Delicious food, big portions, and really friendly staff. My favorite breakfast plates are the Western Skillet and the Country Skillet. Just a heads up though, theres no bathroom...

Great omelettes. Staff is very friendly. Definitely a "Mom and Pop" kind of place. They also bake their own desserts and bread daily. Id suggest taking some home with you!

Any negative comments are fibs. The mac daddy omelet here is the only one of its kind and only one of many delicious options on their menu
