This place is a diamond in the rough of downriver! As my local hang out I have to point out a few things here. 1. The Oak Has The Best Beer Selection Downriver! 40 drafts something for everyone.. 2. The Food Is Always Great and High Quality You Get What You Pay For. I have to been to most bars downriver and this place has the best bar food. 3. The Crowd that hangs out here is one of the better crowds around. Its one of the few places I feel safe for my GF to go hang with her friends at. A mix of college kids and middle aged folk. 4. Service as always been top notch for me. Staff always treats me great! On the downside 1. Its a old school corner bar It has limited seating 2. This bar is not for everyone so if you frequently don a extra medium tapout shirt this may not be your place. As far a prices go its par for the course. Yes there is cheaper and more expensive beer and food around town. But you get what you pay for.I have been to many other bars where food is higher priced and worse quality.Also I dont have to worry about a bunch of dbags on dollar beer night here . And to stick up for my watering hole On The Move please dont order a high quality brew like Bells Hopslam or Founders Breakfast Stout and expect to pay Bud light prices. Just look at your reviews dont you have anything good to say about any place?

The Oak has certain qualities about it that keeps us coming back - Food and beverages are still the best attraction and the staff is always on point. However, the wannabe-hipster-home-from-MSU-for-the-weekend folk has slowly taken it over. The jukebox used to be amazing, now its littered with shoegaze albums the aforementioned crowd whined about wanting in there. Great Downriver destination, just pick your days!

Ive been going here for years and used to love it. Decent tap selection, huge bottle selection. Huge fried food selection. Crappy wings and burgers. Great atmosphere, cool staff. Prices have been creeping up over the years. I had a 10 oz Oskar Blues Gubna that was $7.75. Thats insane. Most pints are over $5. I will be searching for a better beer bar. Cash only.

What bar in this age doesnt take credit cards? They have an ATM that charges a fee that goes to the bar owner?? Shady business practice, but I guess they have to pay for the fancy TVs somehow. Bathroom door is like a front door with a clear glass window so anybody can peek in and see "whats going on behind closed doors." What a strange place this is.

Greatest selection of craft beer available in all of downriver period. Good food. Service can be slow at times, it just depends on the day. The bathrooms are kinda gross, tiny and about 20 years dated. Not something youd expect to see in an establishment serving great beer & food. Still an excellent choice for a craft beer and burger in Wyandotte.

We came here for the first time this past Saturday night. The waiter was nice, but as it got later in the night, he wasnt really around. The place closes at 2am, but they rushed everyone out at 1:40. Its a nice little bar with good drinks. A ton of beer selections and unique shot selections. Id visit again.

Huge selection of beers from typical options to crazy crafts that you wouldnt find anywhere else. Food is good, like the Mac n cheese bites. Service is decent and atmosphere is very chill and fun. Lots of cool bar decorations. Local vibe and cheap mixed shots. My favorite weekend bar.

This is my place to go when I get HUNGARY for that something...you know you want something.I dont even drink but their hot wings ,garden basket , hamburger Rueben there has not been one thing I have ordered in 20 yrs that wasnt great.EXCELLANT place to go to eat and drink.

I love going to The Oak for a beer with friends. I dont recommend going in a large group because they wont split your bill and they only take cash, but the beer selection is extensive and it has a great bar atmosphere. It is a must visit when in Wyandotte.

Excellent place to go to if you like to try new and different beers. I dont recall how many beers that they have on tap, but it is A LOT! Sort of a younger crowd now. Place is jam packed on weekends. Never any trouble there though. Have never eaten there.

Great craft beer selection, (had 14, 15, 16 Bourbon County Brand Stout and 16 Barleywine) delicious food, (we loved the brisket and burgers we were recommended by the gentleman bartender, friendly staff, and a chill atmosphere.

Drink gun was dirty as evidenced by the foul taste of my drink. Messed up every single item I ordered to the point I decided not to eat anything. I simply waited for my party to finish their food items. I dont not recommend.

One of my favorite spots downriver, always have a great selection of beer, great food and even better service. The Oak has a cozy atmosphere and everyone in there is always friendly. Only knock is the whole "Cash only" thing

The oak cafe is a great place to go if you love trying new craft beers. Its got a great jukebox and the food is killer. Id give it 5 stars but it doesnt take credit cards and it doesnt have Wi-Fi. But I still love the place.

Had a good burger & cool stuff to look at. Beer selection was typical/boring. Waitresses ignore you, and they do not except credit cards! Place needs a good cleaning. I wont be back.
