A true GEM!!! Cafe Muse is not like other restaurants. Their prices are reasonable and they use only the finest quality ingredients. Their menu is creative and unique. Everything Ive had there has been wonderful. From the sweet potato pancakes (best pancakes Ive ever had in my life) to the seafood & cheddar grits. Their chef is excellent! My husband got scrambled eggs with fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, and corn. You could tell the vegetables were fresh from the farm because of how flavorful they were. I got scrambled eggs with truffles and Boursin cheese. Their attention to detail is amazing. Even their toast and jelly were very high quality and absolutely delicious! On a side note, I was impressed that they have recycle bins there for customers and employees to use. Even in the bathroom they had an array of different soaps and lotions you could use. At Cafe Muse, they make an effort to be great, and it really sets them apart from the rest.

My family has been a devoted customer of Cafe Muse for over 5 years, often going for brunch. We have noticed a huge change in the last year between staffing, and occasionally, the food. The servers have continually gone downhill in service but we have continued to go for the fresh and better quality food. This last visit has solidified our decision to find a new restaurant staple. We sat for 20 minutes without even a drink order being taken until I finally approached the hostess to ask if we had been assigned a waitress. Claudia (the only awesome and dependable waitress) immediately came over, apologized, and said that although she would not be our waitress she would be happy to take our drink order. Once our assigned waitress took our order we did not see her again until it was time for the check. No coffee refill, no asking if our food was ok (it was cold), nothing. Nope, we have no plans to go back, which makes me very sad.

I heard so many great reviews and its close by so we decided to bike there on a Sunday. We got the usual ("itll be about a week 30 minute wait") okay fine, we walked around got a call amd came back. We were seated shortly after and placed our order maybe 1p minutes after being seated. We waited 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES! AND NO FOOD! NOT WVEN TOAST. There were only TWO of us and we ordered a egg scrambler. Keep in mind Im not a dick and as the minutes rolled by, I kept in mind it was Sunday and brunch time. But 1 HOUR is crazy for two people who ordered egg scramblers and one side of grits. After waiting the hour, I asked for our bill and left. The waitress was apologetic and paid for the drinks we had (chai tea and orange juice) . I will give them another try one a less busy day...maybe a weekday. I was very disappointed because I looked forward to trying the food.

I had the worst food ever .First of all my seafood grits was not hot at all. My drink I order bailey hot chocolate was not hot. My carrots pan cakes wasnt not done all the way then that when I said something to the waitress that I wasnt satisfied. So at that point my lady friend started to examining her food and behold she was eating molded bread .I was like wow. So we told the waitress the bread and she said they change their bread daily and she will get her manager. We wait for 30min.and the manager never show up at all. Im not saying it was a black thing but it have me thinking. I will never go back there again.the waitress was nice .the manager suck cause we was black thats why you wasnt concerns about our food. I will go to toast were I wanted to go to at first but my friend said I will like the breakfast they have not all !

Was there for the Mothers Day brunch (this was my 2nd year bringing my Mom) The waitress was not very friendly at all to my Mother who ordered a certain drink to go with her meal and the waitress brought the wrong item. Mistakes happen no big deal but it was her attitude that followed it when we asked that she please bring the correct beverage and take away the wrong one. The staff needs to work on being more friendly, it was 9am so it wasnt like she had a long day yet... Was also a little disappointed in how incredibly salty the scrambled eggs were, none of us could hardly eat it. The desserts need work and so does the lighting! Guys... it is way too dark in there, people want to see their food... For the amount they charged we expected better, not as good as before. Will go elsewhere next year sadly...

This place has amazing food at prices that dont destroy your pocketbook. Is it small? Yes. Can it be a pain to get a table? Yes. Is it worth it, EVERY single time I go there? Yes yes and yes. NEVER had a bad dish, never had an issue asking for tweaks to menu items, never left the place still hungry, and never felt like I paid too much for what I got. Ive taken clients here for business and gotten rave reviews every time... I cant even guess at what some of the negative reviews here are about, except maybe the work at a rival restaurant? Because Ive never seen this place be anything other than a total delight.

My parents, my grandmother and I stopped here after passing by little houses where both my grandparents were raised as kids. I have done research on restaurants near Ferndale, and I noticed the menu items on this cute place looked delicious. I ordered a glass of Victory Prima Pilsner, a vanilla bean waffle with berries and whipped cream, and 3 slices of naturally-cured bacon. Plus, I found out that the syrup provided was 100% pure maple, which I adore. To top off the lovely food, the waitstaff were very friendly and efficient. My mom and I agreed that we ought to go to Café Muse again. I love it!

The food is ok. The place was not at all what I expected. A bit too dark (as in not well lit up) when we left it was Grey outside but we still were bothered by the daylight. LOL. Aside from that we had to wait to get anything we asked or to ask for anything. I guess 2pm is a dead time for them cuz we were left alone on one side of the restaurant for practically our entire meal. Which wouldve been fine if it didnt mean that we barely got a proper service. Staff was nice when they showed. I had a good time because of who I was with. Otherwise, knowing me, I wouldve left earlier.

This was our first visit. From our very first step into the rather Spartan café, our expectations were greatly exceeded. Although the menu is rather short I was still left vacillating among three tempting entrées. Everything from our Buratta appetizer, to our Duck Two Ways and Ricotta Gnocchi entrées, to the Zolo Cabernet Sauvignon wine, and the dessert was top notch. Our waitress even let us taste a wine or two before choosing. Thank you for taking the approach to offer a few top notch dishes rather than to offer a lot of mediocre dishes.
