My boyfriend and I went there for dinner last night and wow we had a really nice dinner! First our waiter whos name is Mark brought us bread and breadsticks with an amazing dipping oil. Then my boyfriend ordered the lasagna and I ordered Penne pasta with the Palomino sauce. I wanted to have half meat and half Palomino but they couldnt do it for me. So they gave me a small side of pasta with meat sauce at no extra charge just to try it. I honestly didnt like the meat sauce but I did like the Palomino sauce which is made with cream in it. We ordered soup with our dinners and my bf got Italian Wedding soup which he said was very good and I got the Beef Barley. When I say it was fantastic that is an understatement! It was amazing!. Our waiter was superb. We were seated right away even though they were busy and everything came pretty quickly. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant. We will definitely go back soon.

For everyone who has missed the delicious lure of an authentic Muffaletta Sandwich, get to Penne Lane, quick, and enjoy! People rave about the rich Linguini Alfredo and its creamy goodness. Accompaniments like soup and fruit are healthy and tasty and you get an amazingly varied bowl of fresh fruit so delicious and full, youll needy a carryout box. The Sea Scallops are to DIE for, covered in buttery garlic and lemon sauce and capers--and so tender (not mushy or tough), you can cut them with a fork! Wonderful restaurant ambiance; the air is filled with great smells and the classic sounds of Sinatra, Lena Horne and more. Love, love, love for all occasions. Mid-level pricing, but youll leave full and smiling--and anxious to return!

Expecting a nice Italian meal for Mothers Day, we waited just under two hours at our table (we had reservations too) for our food, and they were not even busy. The calamari was soggy and fishy, with soup that my grandma described as dirty water. Our entrees never came out; we were done. Once we said we were about to leave, we were informed that our food was actually burned and thats why its taking so long. They were polite and understanding, but that wait and food quality is not acceptable.

Biggest sin in the restaurant business, close early when people drive 20 minutes to get here to order a carry out and the bartender says were closed. At 9:45. Really! Good riddance, Penne Lane. Update: I guess they need to train their bartender better to not be so rude. Manager said if its before 10, they will serve customers and we can even dine in. I am not inconsiderate however weve now wasted 10 minutes, so we order a carryout. To be continued.

I ordered linguine with white clam sauce. The pasta was half cooked. not al dente, but half cooked. It was beyond chewy. The sauce was dominated by an overwhelming amount of onions. It was all I could taste. This is a very simple dish. I have ordered this dish in restaurants across the United States. The preparation by this chef was terrible. The service was slow! They were not particularly busy as it was a weekday evening.

Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Ample portion sizes. Really wonderful service. I honestly dont remember the name of the seafood pasta dish I had, but it was full of jumbo shrimp and huge chunks of lobster in a red sauce - just excellent! I had the leftovers for lunch today! We dont get there often enough, but when we do its always such a treat! Thanks to all who work so hard to make it that way!

The least impressive restaurant I have been to in a long time. Ordered salmon with asparagus... The sauce on the asparagus was fantastic... and it died there. Salmon was FAR overcooked, pasta sauce was bland, noodles overcooked, soup was fair. For the price I would never go back. I realize Italian is a tough cuisine to cook so I always take that into consideration, but they didnt get it.

Excellent Italian Cuisine. Great service, cute atmosphere. I read all of the reviews, especially the couple of poor ones. Im Italian, parents off the boat. Raised in the Napa Valley in California. I know Itialian, and this was excellent. The last Itialian restaurant we ate at was in the North End of Boston a few months ago. Penne Lane would be right at home there.

Wonderful food, atmosphere and service! I am usually in for lunch. The only thing I will say is that I wish they had soup as part of the lunch buffet. And I wish they still had the 1/2 sandwich & soup deal for lunch. The food is exquisite! The service cant be beat! So I gave them 5 stars!

Simply the best Italian restaurant Ive been to. I had the spaghetti carbonara and it was perfect. The tiramisu and crème brûlée were excellent as well. Liz was our waitress and she was delightful. I highly recommend Penne Lane to anyone who enjoys authentic, homemade Italian food.

Super disappointed. We ordered the meals and asked to have it packaged to go since my daughter was in need of a nap. Once we got home, the portion sizes were laughable. I mean, the pasta barely covered the bottom of the container. Total disappointment do not recommend.

Food is pretty good. Service isnt always attentive. The last time we told the server we were in a hurry, bring apps and the soup and salad together. We got the calamari first, then quite a bit later, soup and salad. Then i had to ask for the bill. It was a bummer.

Delicious food, but the staff moves very slow. On a Thursday it took an hour and a half to order & get our food, & it was not that busy. I feel as if they delay the food because they want you to drink more. The food is expensive, but good.

Probably the best Caesar Salad Ive ever had! Someone from the kitchen came out to give me my carry-out, and he even included bread and oil for me. Looks like their happy hour is pretty good, too. I will definitely try it out again.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Macomb County. Always a great meal & awesome service. Never have been disappointed with what we ordered. The pizza is one of the best weve ever had. Blood orange martini is delicious too!

Had buffet lunch on Monday Dec 5, 2016, the food was room temperature not very good. This was our first time here and will not return. We mentioned this to our waitress, no reaction. Not recommended restaurant !

We always enjoy coming here. The food never disappoints and the service has been top notch. Its on our list of places to go. Really enjoy the house salad. We never had to wait for a table so far, so don;t go here...

Wonderful cozy atmosphere, Kim was an amazing waitress, and the food was so great that it reminded me of my Italian family heritage growing up. My new favorite Italian restaurant. Id recommend this place to anyone.
