After recommendations from several friends we decided to take a trip to La Plaia with high expectations. Our expectations were met and exceeded. The environment was intimate, the service spectacular, and the food as authentic as my grandmother’s Sunday dinners. The homemade sauce is to die for; I suggest ordering a side first thing and treating yourself to sauce and fresh bread as you wait for your appetizers to come out. The pasta was cooked perfectly not soft and overdone or hard from being undercooked it was just right. The overall experience reminds me of a time my grandparents used to speak of when dining out was more than dining out; we really felt like family here and will be visiting again in the very near future.

The meal was AMAZING! At first I wasnt sure of the place because it was so small but it turned out to be some of the appeal. I was out celebrating a special day and the atmosphere was quiet and romantic, our server was very polite and knowledgeable. It was completely perfect in every way I will recomend la palia to anyone who is looking for authentic italian food made right.

Great care taken with the food. You can taste the passion. Make reservations because there are few tables. I think that is the secret to ensuring every plate that leaves the kitchen is perfect.

In my opinion this is the number one Italian restaurant in Columbus. The meatballs are to die for. Also the meat and ingredients are fresh.
