I would like to give less than one star but since I cant, one will have to do. We called to make reservations (I am one of the people from the group mentioned in the previous review), and the lady told us she had room for us on the terrace, we told her that we would like to be inside because we were having a family reunion. She said she could do that. Once we arrived, we realized that the website was false advertising. Looking at the website this looks like an upscale eatery, however it is at the end of a strip mall. We entered the restaurant after the initial disappointment of the appearance, and were further disappointed by the two separate tables. The bald manager got very rude with us, and the brunette lady straight out told us that we misunderstood and that it was not her fault. We decided to go ahead and have dinner because we were a large party of 17. After everyone arrived, we moved a table so that we could all sit together because every one is from all over the united states. After we sat down, the waiter was great and even apologized for the bald guy being so rude. We all got water in a timely manner, however the bald guy kept staring at one person in our party. Bald man took it upon himself to come over to our table and ask the member of our party to "Take It Outside" which is what caused another member of the party to raise his fist, because anyone who speaks English knows that that is asking for a fight. Then things really got out of hand when everyone got mad, we all decided to leave and we were NOT thrown out. As for "undercover" police officers, there were only two other occupied tables, one of which was a young family, the other was a pair of senior citizens, who also left with us. If there was actually an undercover police officer, the person who raised his fist would have spent the night in jail, instead he feasted at Bascoms Restaurant, which was fantastic. Our party was in the parking lot and one went back in to talk to Bald man, and explain how the situation escalated so quickly. Bald man, got upset and began to scream "Im an A**hole" repeatedly at the top of his lungs. PLEASE do not go to this place!! I truly believe that they write their own reviews, or pay others to give them good reviews!

If you are in the mood for an Italian dish in an intimate setting, Cesare at the Beach is definitely the place for you. The restaurant is hidden away from the noise of the central parts of Clearwater Beach, and offers a variance of fine wines to pair alongside your meal. My partner and I first noticed that the views of the location were not the best-- the dining area has a wrap-around porch for outdoor seating, and windows that also wrap around the interior walls for an outside view. What you will see is the main bridge into Clearwater Beach, as well as a few construction sites. The restaurant itself has quite the sophisticated interior. There are booth and table options, and we opted for the booth. The menu needs a bit of an update, as it looked as though someone had opened Microsoft Word and just typed away, and then slipped the final product into a binder. Our server was very rushed. With the price we were paying, I expected much better service. I had made the reservation for my partner and I, and requested a surprise dessert dish with a candle toward the end of our meal. The appetizer was the best part (in my opinion) of our entire dining experience. It was a bruschetta with diced tomatoes and cheese, paired with two fresh bread halves and an herb oil for dipping. I ordered a mushroom dish that I wasnt quite happy with, but I didnt send it back because I am too polite. My partner ordered the penne a la vodka, and was quite pleased with the taste. I requested a box for my meal, and our server took both of the plates-- even though my partner had yet to finish eating. He came back a moment with the tiramisu I had requested over the phone. The server quickly apologized, saying they had just run out of candles, and then hastily wished my partner a happy birthday before running away. I ordered a coffee to close out the dinner (delicious brew, I must note), and then received our check. We tipped nicely and were on our way. We dont feel we will be coming back to this particular restaurant.

We were driving around trying to find a different place to have dinner at. It being off season, most every place was either closed or was a bar/restaurant and we wanted to avoid that setting for this particular night out. We stumbled on Cesares on the Beach which is in a little mini-mall type building. We didnt expect much at first glance, it being in a mini mall, etc. But we decided to try it and I cant say enough good about our experience dining there. We plan on going back again and again. Its obvious that the food is all freshly prepared. The grouper is amazing. The best I have ever had. My husband had Bolognese.... He loved the pasta. Their pastas are homemade. The atmosphere is upscale, classy, comfortable, not stuffy. It seems acceptable if customers show up in casual attire. The Italian music in the background just adds all the more to the wonderful atmosphere. The service is perfect...first class all the way. The prices are excellent considering the quality of the food, first-class service and atmosphere of a true class act Italian restaurant. Dining at a similar (and probably not even as good) Italian restaurant in Boston or New York would cost us triple the amount.

Dined here on a Saturday night. When I arrived, the manager was seating customers, I informed him two of us would be dining tonight. I waited 30 minutes and checked back in to see the progress of a table being ready, at this time there was a hostess. She informed me that our name was not put down and would be another 20 minutes. In the mean time the manager was flaunting around with his frequent guests and drinking wine. We were seated and ordered two specials (chicken parm? and a special pasta dish). The food was very mushy, and the sauces were bitter and soup like. The one special came with approx 8 pieces of pasta... and no they were not stuff shells or ravioli pasta. We were so hungry after consuming the small portion dishes we informed our waiter and he came back with a small salad container with an EXTRA 2 pieces of pasta in it. No manager had approached us. At this point I was so disgusted I could not even say anything. Where was the owner ... still sitting on his favorite customers laps. To the owner and manager, take notes from Carabas Italian grill and Olive Garden. There are so many fantastic places to eat in Clearwater, do not bother going here.

STAY AWAY-If you want an experience where you are valued and appreciated as a customer. We had reservations through Open Table and have dined here fairly often but the last few times service has really declined and we are NEVER returning. We were seated and literally ignored for 10 minutes, when we politely asked a gentlemen who claimed to be the "owner" if we could receive service. he response was " I only seated you 3 minutes ago" Trust me, if wed only waited 3 minutes we would not have approached him at all. it was at least 10 minutes, i know because we arrived 12 minutes early and were immediately seated and ultimately left at just after our actual reservation time. We walked out primarily due to the rude and abrupt response of the "owner" I guess an apology and getting a waiter to our table was not something the "owner" was willing to do. 10 minutes is a really long time when your just sitting and just waiting. Do yourself a favor and dine elsewhere, Clearwater has lots of great places to eat
