I just ate there, and my tummy could not be happier! I tried their Crazy Noodles (their version of drunken noodles) and asked for it with Crispy Duck on top. They were willing to do it, and oh sweet lord was it AMAZING. It came out so fast too! Like 8 minutes later I had a steaming plate of fresh basil leaves and the widest noodles I have ever seen... sweet jesus. Amazing place. Entree plates are around $15, my special was $16.50, and it was worth every penny. The only negative I can think of is that it is incredibly small- like the size of a one-person hotel room kind of small. Most people did take-out, but the waitress was amazingly efficient and competent. Loved it. Cant wait to digest so I can go back!

What a fantastic find! I went to Lanna Thai Diner for the first time today after seeing it listed on Google Maps for a long time. Its actually in a building that used to be a greasy breakfast/lunch diner that I would never have set foot in, converted into a Thai restaurant. Its a beautiful building! The Pad Thai was a just little too sweet but good, full of lots of vegetables and the Green Curry was delicious. We had it with sticky rice, which was a nice addition. (I with they served brown rice, but they dont.) The owner is welcoming and quite funny. We felt comfortable the minute we entered. The prices are quite reasonable and it seems to have quite a local following. I cant wait to eat here again!

I feel terrible for giving Lanna Thai Diner 2 stars. The service was great. The man behind the counter was friendly, quick and engaging. The establishment itself is so unique! But the food... Pad thai: Very dry. The flavor was so light I could barely taste it. Basil Fried Rice: One of the better dishes, but could not compete against most Thai restaurants. Pineapple Fried Rice: Rice was very overcooked and mushy. Instead of the pineapple being the star, it was overwhelmed by curry flavor. Overall, I did not expect this due to the 4.5 star rating. A bit disappointed.

I am loving this place. Not only is the food delicious but well presented, not something I was expecting from a converted boxcar attached to a house. Love how rice dish plates have everything separated and vegetables glow from not being overcooked (still cripsy and not smothered in sauce). My goal is to go through all the dishes in the menu, no disappointments yet. Chicken and Beef dishes are great but my favorites at Lanna are duck which says a lot, since duck is not my favorite meat. Bonus: owner will socialize and help with recommendations.

Im stuck giving it 5 stars because it doesnt go higher! What a great restaurant. Tiny tiny place but the food was amazing. I got the pad see ew and purple rice... wow! Its been years since Ive had that good of a thai food experience. Staff was friendly and courteous, food was served quickly. Ill be back the next time Im in the greater Boston area. I think I got the Radisson Im staying at to add them to their restaurant suggestions since they are only about a mile away. See you guys next time!

Great guy, great food, great time! Honestly the best Thai food in the area. The restaurant itself is small and has history, its pretty cool. Expect things to look crazy, Max runs it with him and one other, and they do a great job! Busy place because everyone loves the food. I got the Tom yum shrimp, hard to go wrong. And the red curry duck which was perfect! Check it out, if your nearby the price is right

Super delicious, and will accommodate my seafood allergy. Best chicken pad thai ever. Only 2 problems here. The street parking situation is impossible at lunch time. And I know everyone deserves a break, but sometimes they shut down for weeks at a time for vacation. Isnt there a friend or relative that could keep things going when the owner is away?

I go there very often, and this place serves the best Thai food in all of MA hands-down. There arent any Thai restaurants that can compare with this one. The restaurant/diner is small with limited tables. Its charming and very clean. Ive not had anything I did not like there, and the food is authentic. The host Max is charming and friendly.

Lana Thai is something unexpected. It;s such a little place, in a little dining car, but it has real Thai taste. I thought I could eat spicy food, but I was wrong. Do not order something "Thai spicy" unless you know what youre doing. Also, the purple sticky rice was great. Rice made it into my review. Thats great stuff.

Some of the dishes here are only "quite good", but some are amazing. The Kari Curry is my personal favorite. Im always surprised at how good it is, thinking it couldnt possibly have been as good as I remembered. It is. The owner, the 50s diner ambiance, the decoration make for an excellent overall experience.

From the outside the diner doesnt look special but if you go inside it feels like visiting friends, because the owner is such a nice guy and really cares about you. Our food was outstanding too! The mango and sticky rice was great aswell! So was the sticky rice in bamboo. 100% Thai! 5 from 5 stars.

This is a jewel in the rough. The food here is delicious and flavorful and they have great prices. The owner, Max, makes you fell at home. I love this place, I usually eat here twice a week and pick up takeout on the way home at night! If youre a Thai food fan, youll be pleasantly surprised!

lanna thai creates the most flavorful and delicious meals i have eaten anywhere. Since moving, I have driven an hour and a half one way more than once just to have the pad thai. Parking is tough and lunch can get busy at this tiny diner but its o-so worth it!

Huge fan for about ten years. There are many great dishes. Pad Thai, Green Curry, Crazy Noodle, Chicken Noodle Curry, Noodle Soup.....etc. But, the most epic is CHICKEN CABBAGE!!!!! Be sure to add some red table sauce and get a Thai Ice Tea. :)

I was not a fan of Thai food until I ate at the Lanna Thai Diner and now I cant wait to go back. I was introduced by someone I work with and he swore that this was the best Thai and I had to try it and boy am I glad I did. Highly recommended!!

Max makes the BEST masoman curry! Try their seafood, since max eats only fish they always keep lots of premium freshly caught product in stock. Try the thai iced tea too obviously. Oh, and the thai rolls. Did i mention the massoman curry?

Service here is fast and friendly, and the food is PHENOMENAL. Best Thai Ive ever had. Just bear in mind that its a small location if youre going during rush hour, you might have a short wait for a table.

Max is the best, everything Ive had here was outstanding. Crazy noodles, green/yellow curry, garlic chicken, cashew chicken, pad Thai, all awesome. And the Thai iced tea rocks.
