Any place with the word "bagel" in the title immediately catches my eye. As a born and raised Jersey girl, bagels are a part of my heart and soul. I hate to say this, but Boston/New England in general does not know how to make a GOOD bagel. Nothing compares to a fresh, hot, doughy Jersey bagel. The hockey pucks that are commonly found around here do not even compare in the slightest. So I checked this place out. They claim to sell NY bagels, and they are definitely decent, but absolutely nowhere near what I expect out of a good bagel. End bagel rant. You have to know what youre getting into with a place like this. Its going to be busy, somewhat slow-ish, and not a high-end experience. That being said, it was exactly what I expected and maybe even slightly better? The bacon egg and cheese was honestly one of the best Ive had around here. I brought home a few bagels and a container of cream cheese--both pretty good. I got a delicious iced coffee that ahem was NOT Dunkin Donuts (Sorry, Dunks). Overall, I loved everything I consumed. I will definitely be going back, and maybe sitting down for breakfast. I wish they were open later than 2:00PM. All the good places close early, whats up with that?

It makes me crazy to see that this place somehow has a 4-star rating. I have only been once and that was 1 time too many. The bagels are all stored in tupperware buns which makes one think they buy them elsewhere and sell day-olds, and the flavor and consistency would support that argument. The bagels were thin and heavy, hard to bite into and overall terrible. I am not a person who usually writes reviews but this place is the pits, drive a little further down mass ave and go to dunkin donuts as even they have a far superior bagel or if youre really looking for a good one go to porter square for brueggers.

As an expat New Yorker in Boston these are some of best bagels and bialys you can find up here. They actually are made at H&H in New York and shipped up frozen then baked on site. The prices are reasonable if you buy by the dozen, and if you call ahead theyll make sure you get them right out of the oven. The bagel sandwich options are also very good. Although dont expect the lox to be up to Zabars quality. The attached breakfast restaurant is adequate but not worth a trip for itself, better to think of this as an H&H branch office.

Great diner food. I always stop in for breakfast or lunch when I have a doctors appointment nearby. The staff is always cheerful and efficient. In the last month or so, the dine-in service has gone down hill. My last two visits my order has been wrong (missing or incorrect ingredients), the visit before, I paid my bill with a $50 and got change as if I had paid with a $20. The attention to detail is really suffering.

I have been going to Bagels By Us for years to pick up breakfast sandwiches for my husband and I, and we have always considered them the best bagels around. Recently they expanded and now have a sit-down breakfast area with everything from pancakes to omelettes (and a great Eggs Benedict on the weekends). Now we go there even more often!

Awful. Terrible bagels, terrible service, and its expensive! Even when toasted, the bagels still taste stale. And a good bagel shouldnt need to be toasted anyway. Service is slow and inefficient. Dont bother going! Ive been too many times out of desperation and have sworn never to go back. Cant believe theyre still in business!

Obviously, bagels are a very subjective thing but Im not a huge fan of the recipe here. Additionally, the service in the diner part and on take out has been really slow most of the times Ive gone. Im glad this place exists and Ill keep coming here, but it could be improved in a bunch of ways.

Great quick to go or eat in breakfast spot. In terms of to go you seem to be limited to mostly bagels whereas eating in gives you more options (like delicious pancakes). Staff was very nice, food was delicious, will definitely be back again as this is my new go to affordable breakfast spot.

I buy take out bagels here all the time, and Linda who works at the counter (and has been there for many many years) is always friendly and remembers what I like. The bagels are the best I have found in the Arlington area. (maybe not as good as youd find in Brookline, but still excellent).

I <3 Bagels By Us, even though I dont think Ive ever managed to get an Everything Bagel from them. I probably need to start getting up earlier. Weve gotten bagels and cream cheese to go and also sat down for the diner. The staff is friendly and the food is good.

This is my family owned business. Best of Boston and Taste of Boston winner, many times over 30 years in business. No frills, its what an American Diner should be. Keep it simple. Ask on of our thousands of regular customer who pack the joint on weekends.

Theres no better place and better food. After first time Ive already came back 4 times in less then a month and each time the waitress always remembered who I was and which were my favorite request. Seriously no better place, staff and food.

I have been going here for years; the egg sandwiches are the best.... I have had other menu items since they expanded but the bagel sandwiches are by far my favorite... the staff is great they are very friendly, but not the quickest....

Want to like it but cant. Surprisingly expensive for really pretty mediocre food...esp the eggs. Very slow service during busy times. No low-carb plates...have to order a la carte for low carb and that is even more expensive.

Delicious food. Slow, but very pleasant service. I only ever get the bagel sandwiches and soup tough, so Im not sure about the other dishes. Best bagel sandwich there is.

I really like the food options and the food. The price is reasonable. However, there have been a few occasions where the service was extremely lacking.

The French toast was great, but service was astoundingly slow even though there were only two other customers in the whole restaurant.
