LIKED IT A LOT! Only 4 stars today because I have only been here once... First time there was 2-16-2012 for the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerces Ribbon Cutting with Mayor Vigeant. Clean and Neat - Decor is fabulous - chairs and tables with elaborate and bright colored designs. Menus have full breadth of selections with a few non-Mexican dishes. The service people were very friendly, knowledgeable about the dishes, and helpful with regard to helping you order the plate that youll like the best. I ended up staying for dinner! I had the Enchiladas de Camaron - Shrimp Enchiladas. Dish came with the standard, and very tasty rice and refried beans. Shrimp was perfectly cooked. Portion was large. Zarapes is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cant wait to try the huevos rancheros for breakfast!

This was our first time at this Mexican restaurant. The decor of this restaurant reminded me of another Mexican restaurant we have been to in Page, Arizona. They welcomed us with warm tortilla chips and freshly made salsa and they both were very tasty. We ordered Mojarra Frita which is fried whole tilapia and Carne Asada which is grilled marinated steak. Both were served with rice, refried beans, sour cream, corn tortilla & guacamole. Mojarra Frita was a huge portion for one and it was perfectly fried and crispy. The steak was also very tender and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the service was good. I am pretty sure that they run full-house for dinner and in the weekends. Plenty of paking on either side of the street. I will definitely recommend this place for authentic Mexican food.

This restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in our area! The food is authentic and delicious! The owners/family are always onsite and the staff could not be more accommodating! The cost is so affordable for a family or group. The menu is huge with something for everyone. The atmosphere is cozy and decorated. They have a very nice outdoor seating area as well. They have many different and delicious Margaritas that are reasonably priced. We left an IPad there and didnt realize it until the next day. They kept it safe for us and wouldnt even take a token of our appreciation that we tried to insist they keep. Make it a point to visit before it gets too crowded or the price goes up! I highly recommend this place and would give it 10 stars if possible.

I am a Texas native staying in the Boston area on an extended business trip. I had been craving authentic Tex Mex for a couple of months, so I finally caved and decided to trust my boss recommendation by taking a chance on this place. The verdict? Pleasantly surprised. Excellent enchiladas bathed in a chipotle sauce with a nice kick. This is the closest thing Ive had to authentic Tex Mex for as long as Ive been in the Northeast/New England, and it will hold me over until I go home for the holidays. Four stars because it is SO close to the real deal. Nicely done, Zarape.

Found out about this place by word of mouth and my group decided to give it a try. As with most places in Marlborough during peak dinner times parking sucks. However, the aggravation of finding a place to park is soon forgotten once you get inside. Bright, colorful, clean and everyone was super nice. Everyone loved the food that they ordered. I had the pupusas combo. The pupusas done perfectly, nice crust on the outside and soft on the inside. I got the pork which had a great flavor. Rice and beans were also very good.

This is a regular dining spot for my father and I, as we are both Mexican food addicts. Zarape satisfies every time. Theyve got the basics covered very well, and the food preparation is consistently excellent. Service is friendly and attentive. Dining rooms are comfortable. They have Tvs on the walls which Im never a fan of, but its not an obnoxious sports bar vibe and easy to forgive once the food arrives. You cant really do better at these prices on the east coast. Im definitely a fan!

After reading soo many really good reviews I simply had to try it out. Now having been there I get it! Yeah, this is really good food (!), the staff is pleasant, the decor is cheery, and I definitely intend to be back. It is a touch small and there isnt much space to stand while waiting but from what I tasted tonight, it is all very much worth it. Very cool.

Vegetarian review. I had to leave this restaurant because the vegetarian beans and a vegetarian rice tasted completely off. The salsa was horrendous it was actually sweet. The tortilla chips are subpar. In no way does this restaurant serving authentic or Tex Mex Mexican meal. This restaurant serves heavily Americanized pseudo Mexican food.

This is a fantastic new hidden gem! I loved the food and margaritas. The owner/chef served our dinners straight from the kitchen. Very nice staff. Nice new tables and chairs. Great selection of tequilas and beers. I grew up in southern California and love Mexican food. I hope this local, family-owned restaurant does well.

I work nearby and order for delivery quite often. average delivery time is the quickest of any restaurant Ive ever ordered from in Marlborough. Food is never cold and always tasty. The best steak quesadilla Ive ever had in my life. Have recommended this spot to a bunch of people and will continue to.

Their food is amazing and the staff is polite, friendly and helpful. Ive never eaten at the restaurant because its usually really crowded. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated but its kinda small so its usually cramped. If you havent tried Zarapes than you definitely should.

Im a point of sale support technician, and have gone out to this store several times for work. The food is fantastic every time, and the staff are friendly. More importantly, the kitchen is very clean and well managed, the food is ready fast, and they have a great menu.

Absolutely love this place! Prices are a little high but you know what they load you up. Left overs taste almost better the next day. Their homemade salsa is delicious. Everything about this place is amazing! Thank you Zarape Ill see you on Friday!
