We have lived in Hyde Park for 2 years, and the Talk & Wok Cafe is a staple take-away in our household. They are always reliably yummy, and the food never tastes "cheap" (which is usually the distinguishing factor between good and bad Americanized Chinese food). They are way above average; their beef and pea pods dish is outrageously good---the beef is tender, and the pea pods are crunchy; the eggrolls are also FANTASTIC. This restaurant is one of the only things that we will miss about our neighborhood, when we move. I highly, highly recommend Talk & Wok Cafe.

I live about a 5 minute drive away, and I once called for a delivery at approximately 6:50. When calling, youre never informed of how long your order will arrive or how much your order is unless you ask. Terrible customer service because they made me wait nearly 1 hour & 10 minutes with no explanation as to why they came so late. Food is good, often too greasy. But horrible customer service.

Ive been in the Boston area for a year (although further out from Boston than Hyde Park). In the view of this native New Yorker, other than China Town, this is the only Chinese food Ive found in the area that is as good as the comparable little take out places in NYC. The prices are also among the best Ive seen up here.

My friend didnt receive her order until 2 plus hours later. On top of that, she didnt get any extra chicken wings or crab rangoon. She is very upset and plus she is sick. I am upset for her. They did not want to talk to her about her order which makes it seem like the orders are not going in correctly.

I wont recommend This place to any one. The chicken is lousy. theyre using old oil deep fry that chicken. They need to change cooking oil before putting another batch of chicken . And they need to learn how to give a receipt out at the time of purchase respect their customers.

Horrible customer service the owner acted like if he was doing me a favour when asked if he sold generals chicken . Then grabbed money out of my hand. Just nasty behavior. Food was ok.

Pretty awesome Chinese food. It is cheap and quite tasty. I recommend their lomein and tofu with vegetables. You should definitely stop by.
